Inks Lake RV Park Inc Introduce
For local adventurers and travelers seeking "RV parks near me" in the picturesque Texas Hill Country, particularly those planning to explore the renowned lakes of the region, Inks Lake RV Park Inc, located at 6161 TX-29, Burnet, TX 78611, USA, offers a potentially convenient option. You can reach the park management at (512) 756-0101 or +1 512-756-0101 for inquiries and reservations. Based on recent customer reviews, Inks Lake RV Park Inc presents a mixed picture of positive aspects such as a helpful manager and a peaceful environment, alongside some limitations regarding site accessibility and amenities.
One positive review highlights a pleasant month-long stay, during which the guest was warmly greeted by Doug, the manager, who facilitated a seamless booking and settling-in process. This positive interaction with the management is a significant aspect for many RV travelers. The reviewer also noted the opportunity to stay in the "newly developed section of the park," suggesting ongoing improvements and expansions at the facility. Furthermore, the park was described as "reasonably priced" and "very peaceful," appealing to those seeking a tranquil camping experience. Its easy access to a main road leading into town adds to its convenience, allowing guests to explore the local area and its amenities with ease. The reviewer expressed a definite intention to return when visiting this "beautiful hill country location surrounded by the best lakes in Texas," underscoring the park's strategic location for exploring the natural attractions of the region.
However, another review presents a more critical perspective, pointing out several potential drawbacks. While acknowledging the park's easy accessibility from TX-29, this reviewer highlights a somewhat unusual entry procedure, requiring guests to call ahead so the manager can unlock a gate on the backside of the campground for arrival. This could be an inconvenience, especially for spontaneous travelers or those arriving outside of typical hours. A significant concern raised is the tightness of the sites, with a strong recommendation against staying there if your RV is over 35 feet in length. This limitation could exclude a significant portion of the RV traveling community.
The condition of the sites themselves is also a point of criticism, with the reviewer noting that they "need lots of work." Specifically, the pads are described as "un level," and the ground is primarily "dirt with weeds" and "very little grass." This lack of well-maintained sites could impact the comfort and overall experience of guests. Additionally, the reviewer found the nightly price to be "a little high" considering the limited amenities, with laundry being the only one explicitly mentioned. Noise could also be a factor, as sites on the "right side of the park" are reportedly "very close to 29," potentially leading to traffic noise at times.
Despite these drawbacks, the second reviewer also acknowledged that the manager is "very personable and great to talk with," echoing the positive interaction mentioned in the first review. This suggests that while the physical infrastructure might have its limitations, the management's demeanor is a strong positive. The reviewer concludes that Inks Lake RV Park might be a "great place to stay for the night," implying its suitability for short stopovers, but advises looking for something else for a "long term" stay, likely due to the site conditions and limited amenities.

Promotional Information (Implicit):
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in the Burnet area, Inks Lake RV Park Inc can promote its peaceful environment, the helpfulness of the manager (Doug), its convenient access to TX-29 and the surrounding Texas Hill Country lakes, and potentially the availability of the newly developed section of the park. The reasonable pricing mentioned by one reviewer could also be a promotional point for budget-conscious travelers. However, it is crucial for the park to address the concerns raised about site conditions and accessibility for larger RVs in their communication.
To attract a broader range of visitors, Inks Lake RV Park Inc might consider:
- Providing clear information about the size and type of RV sites available, explicitly stating any limitations for larger rigs.
- Highlighting any improvements made in the newly developed section, such as more level pads or better ground cover.
- Considering upgrades to the existing sites to improve their levelness and overall condition.
- Evaluating the pricing structure in relation to the limited amenities offered compared to other RV parks in the area.
- Providing clearer instructions or a more convenient entry process than requiring guests to call ahead for a gate to be unlocked.
- Detailing all available amenities, including any restroom/shower facilities and their condition.

The manager is noted for his helpfulness, and a newly developed section suggests ongoing improvements. However, prospective guests, especially those with larger RVs or those planning longer stays, should be aware of the reported tight sites, unlevel pads, and limited amenities. For a short overnight stop or for smaller RVs seeking a reasonably priced base near Inks Lake, it might be a suitable option. Local users searching for "RV parks near me" are advised to contact the park directly to inquire about site availability, specific amenities, and to address any concerns raised in the reviews to ensure it meets their individual needs.

Inks Lake RV Park Inc Reviews
I had a nice month long stay recently and was greeted by Doug the manager who helped us get settled and made the booking seamless. I was able to stay in the newly developed section of the park. This park was reasonably priced and very peaceful and had easy access to a main road into town. We will definitely stay here again when visiting this beautiful hill country location surrounded by the best lakes in Texas.
Apr 11, 2020 · Jack FayRv park is very easy to access from 29. One con is getting into the park you have to call ahead so he can unlock a gate kn the backside of the campground for you to come. Sites are very tight to get into if your over 35ft don't stay here. Sites need lots of work the pads are un level the ground is dirt with weeds very little grass. Price for night is a little high with no amenities other than laundry. If your on the right side of the park you are very close to 29 so can be noisy at times. Manager is very personable and great to talk with. Great place to stay for the night but long term I would look for something else.
Sep 13, 2020 · Adam MillerThe park is well managed . The manager Doug has installed lots of security cameras which are monitored 24hours a day which makes the park very safe & extremely quiet. The laundry room is well maintained and very clean.
Jun 28, 2022 · William YoungWe had a great mothers day their . It was relaxed and fun . Clean and plenty of space available even though it was busy due to the holiday. We plan on spending alot of time visiting this summer! We LOVE inks lake! Tip is plan to arrive before 9 o clock and you cant rent spaces until 9 and there were quite a few folks there!
May 21, 2018 · Julia PirirI have been living here at Inks Lake State Park for about six years now and under the management of Sharon Decet , I have been able to rent to own my own trailer. The park is very nice, the roads and lots have been upgraded and the maintenance people handle problems quickly. Sharon makes herself available if you have a problem or concern and will work with you. There is a laundry on site. I enjoy living here. I recommend it to anyone.
