K and R RV Park Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Wichita, Kansas area, K and R RV Park, located at 3200 Southeast Blvd, Wichita, KS 67216, USA, is one option that may appear in your search. You can contact them at (316) 684-1531 or +1 316-684-1531 for inquiries. However, it is crucial to consider recent customer feedback to gain a comprehensive understanding of the park's current state before making a decision. The following introduction aims to provide an objective overview based on the information available in the provided reviews.
The environment at K and R RV Park, based on recent reviews, presents a mixed picture. On the positive side, one reviewer noted that they "liked the location which was easy on the turnpike or other highways." This suggests that the park offers convenient access for travelers arriving via major roadways around Wichita. However, the negative aspects of the environment appear to outweigh this benefit. Multiple concerns were raised regarding the park's upkeep. One reviewer stated, "There is alot of mud where there should be gravel for the RV'S to park. Our tires sunk in a good 5 to 6 inches. Also, there is not any grass, but alot of weeds that need mowed." Another reviewer echoed this, mentioning that "The grass has not been mowed in 2 weeks" and that there are "alot of weeds that need mowed." These comments indicate a lack of regular grounds maintenance, potentially leading to unpleasant and unusable outdoor spaces.
Further concerns were raised about the infrastructure within the park. One reviewer explicitly stated, "The roads in the park are not good, they have many large and deep pot holes." Another described the streets as "dirt, and covered with potholes, not little ones." These descriptions suggest that navigating within the park could be challenging and potentially damaging to RVs and other vehicles. The presence of mud instead of gravel at parking sites further exacerbates the issue of poor ground conditions, especially during or after wet weather.
The services and features at K and R RV Park, as described by recent reviewers, also present significant areas of concern. While one reviewer noted that "The management is quick to post 'do better' letters if you have an infraction," viewing this as a "good way to communicate with tenants," the overall sentiment regarding the park's condition suggests that management's focus might be misplaced or ineffective in addressing more fundamental maintenance issues. The reviews highlight several shortcomings in essential services and features:
- Poor Road Conditions: As mentioned earlier, the presence of numerous large and deep potholes in the park's roads is a significant drawback, impacting accessibility and potentially causing damage to vehicles.
- Inadequate Ground Cover: The lack of grass and the prevalence of weeds, coupled with muddy parking areas instead of gravel, detract from the usability and aesthetic appeal of the sites.
- Potential Tornado Shelter Issues: One particularly alarming concern raised by a reviewer is that "they are standing outside the tornado shelter, sirens going, and cannot get in." This raises serious questions about the accessibility and functionality of the park's safety infrastructure during severe weather events, especially with "tornado season coming."
- Low Water Pressure: Another significant inconvenience reported is that "The water pressure is so bad, I fill my auxiliary tank and run my water through my water pump." This indicates a potentially unreliable and inadequate water supply for residents and visitors.
The fact that one reviewer mentions hearing about "New ownership is to be coming in" suggests that the current state of the park might be in transition. However, the same reviewer expresses fading optimism about potential improvements based on the current conditions.
Based on the information available in the reviews, there is no indication of any current promotional information for K and R RV Park. The focus of the recent feedback is overwhelmingly on the park's maintenance and infrastructure issues rather than any positive aspects or special offers.
The location of K and R RV Park in Wichita, Kansas, offers the advantage of being "easy on the turnpike or other highways," which can be convenient for travelers passing through the area or those seeking easy access to the city's amenities via major roads. Wichita is the largest city in Kansas and offers a wide range of attractions, services, and entertainment options. However, the immediate environment within the RV park itself, based on the reviews, appears to detract from this locational advantage.
The recurring themes in the reviews paint a picture of a park that is in need of significant maintenance and upkeep. The poor road conditions, muddy and weed-ridden grounds, potential issues with the tornado shelter, and low water pressure are serious concerns that prospective guests should carefully consider. While the management's communication regarding rule infractions is noted as a positive aspect by one reviewer, it appears that addressing the deteriorating physical condition of the park is a more pressing need.
For those searching for "RV parks near me" in Wichita, Kansas, K and R RV Park offers a location with easy highway access. However, the recent customer reviews strongly suggest that the park is currently facing significant challenges related to maintenance, infrastructure, and potentially safety. The poor road conditions, inadequate ground cover at campsites, concerns about tornado shelter access, and low water pressure are factors that could severely impact the comfort and safety of guests. While new ownership is mentioned as a possibility for future improvements, the current state of the park, as described by recent reviewers, warrants significant caution. Prospective guests are strongly advised to contact the park directly to inquire about the current conditions, any ongoing maintenance efforts, and the status of the new ownership before making a reservation. It would also be prudent to seek out alternative RV parks in the Wichita area that have received more positive recent feedback regarding their environment, services, and features.

May 01, 2025 · Jim Driggers IIThe management is quick to post "do better" letters if you have an infraction. I think that is a good way to communicate with tenants about concerns regarding rule infractions or things that need to be done. However, the park has fallen into a state of below standard living. The grass has not been mowed in 2 weeks. My dogs refuse to go to the bathroom in grass that is taller than them, so they piss in the road. The streets are dirt, and covered with potholes, not little ones. I have heard from other tenants that they are standing outside the tornado shelter, sirens going, and cannot get in, and tornado season coming. The water pressure is so bad, I fill my auxiliary tank and run my water through my water pump. New ownership is to be coming in, we will see if there are improvements, but my optimism is fading daily.
Apr 09, 2025 · David BrownGreat place to stay! Only grip is the road where you come in is extremely rough. Holes make it so you can’t drive in without hitting several them.
Mar 18, 2025 · Bryan SorgeSuch a good tourist spot to stay. It really easy to get around. Clean, quiet and peaceful place. Wish the parking could be in better, but still amazing must come see this wiz of Oz place definitely will go back
Jun 10, 2024 · luis aguilarThe park also has Air BNBsThe house we are staying in is super nice. Great atmosphere guests are really nice and friendly. Quite park kid friendly atmosphere. It has a Quick Trip super close. The only downside is the train that goes by across the street. But that's not enough to not spend some time here.
