Kv's Rv Park Introduce
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in the Hartselle, Alabama area, Kv's Rv Park, located at 1720 Walls Ln NE, presents itself as a potentially budget-friendly option. However, it is crucial for prospective guests to carefully consider the experiences shared by current and former residents before making a decision. Reviews indicate significant discrepancies between advertised amenities and actual availability, as well as concerns regarding the overall environment and sanitation of the park. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of Kv's Rv Park based solely on the information available in the provided customer reviews.
Environment and Location: Kv's Rv Park is situated in Hartselle, Alabama. One of the few positive aspects highlighted in the reviews is its convenience to the highway. One guest noted that it was "convenient to highway," which could be advantageous for travelers seeking a quick overnight stop or easy access to transportation routes. However, this is where the positive environmental aspects, based on the reviews, largely end. A significant concern raised by a former short-term guest was that "the whole place smelled like sewage." This indicates a potentially serious sanitation issue that could significantly impact the comfort and health of individuals staying at the park. Furthermore, the same reviewer described a generally unkempt environment, stating, "the place was a mess." This suggests a lack of attention to overall cleanliness and maintenance within the park.
Adding to the environmental concerns, a long-term resident of three years painted a concerning picture of the park's social environment. They stated that the "Whole RV park is riddled with totally gone meth head and fentanyl junkies!" This is a serious accusation that, if accurate, would raise significant safety and security concerns for potential visitors, especially families or individuals seeking a peaceful and stable environment. This resident's strong recommendation to "Go to Frederick's outdoor sports" further underscores their negative perception of the environment at Kv's Rv Park.
Services and Amenities: A long-term resident explicitly mentioned the reasons for initially choosing Kv's Rv Park: advertised "shower access, high speed internet, and a laundry facility." However, their subsequent experience revealed significant shortcomings in the availability and reliability of these amenities. The laundry facility was reportedly usable for only about six months out of their three-year residency. Shower access was described as "conditional," implying inconsistent availability or functionality. The high-speed internet was deemed "spotty," working reliably only when located near the office, forcing this resident to obtain internet service through an external provider. This stark contrast between advertised and actual amenities is a critical point for prospective guests to note.
The short-term guest also experienced issues with basic services, noting that "our waste drain was full" upon arrival. This suggests potential problems with the sewage system or inadequate maintenance of individual site hookups. The fact that they had to pay extra at a gas station to empty their tanks after leaving further indicates a lack of proper functioning or accessible waste disposal facilities within the park during their stay.
While one short-term guest mentioned that the "staff/attendant was pleasant and tried her best to accommodate," this positive interaction seems to be overshadowed by the significant issues with the park's infrastructure and overall environment.
Features and Highlights: The primary feature that seems to attract guests to Kv's Rv Park is its affordability. Both reviewers mentioned that it was "cheap" or "cheaper to stay a month here then most everywhere." For budget-conscious travelers, the lower cost might initially seem appealing. Additionally, the convenience to the highway, as noted by one guest, could be considered a locational advantage for those needing quick access to transportation routes.
However, these potential benefits appear to be significantly outweighed by the numerous negative aspects highlighted in the reviews. The unreliability of advertised amenities (showers, laundry, internet), the serious sanitation concerns (sewage smell, full waste drain), and the alarming allegations regarding the resident environment (drug use) raise significant red flags. While the pleasantness of the staff/attendant is a positive note, their individual efforts may not be sufficient to overcome the systemic issues described by the residents.
The long-term resident's statement, "in the end you get what you pay for," serves as a stark warning. While the initial cost savings might be attractive, the potential lack of essential amenities, the unpleasant environment, and the alleged safety concerns could ultimately lead to a negative and uncomfortable experience.
Promotional Information and Call to Action: Considering budget-friendly "RV parks near me" in Hartselle, AL? Kv's Rv Park, located at 1720 Walls Ln NE, offers a convenient location near the highway and potentially lower rates. However, it is essential to be aware of recent feedback from residents. Reviews indicate significant discrepancies between advertised amenities such as showers, high-speed internet, and laundry facilities, with reports of limited or unreliable access. Concerns have also been raised regarding the overall sanitation of the park, including a reported sewage odor and issues with waste drainage. Additionally, a long-term resident has expressed serious concerns about the park's social environment. While one short-term guest noted a pleasant staff/attendant, the overwhelming sentiment suggests potential challenges that prospective guests should carefully consider. If affordability and highway access are your top priorities, and you are willing to potentially forgo reliable amenities and a clean environment, Kv's Rv Park might be an option. However, we strongly encourage you to weigh these potential drawbacks against the lower cost and to consider alternative RV parks in the Hartselle area before making a decision. Contact Kv's Rv Park at (256) 309-4856 or +1 256-309-4856 for more information, but please do so with the understanding of the concerns raised by current and former residents.

Kv's Rv Park Reviews
Ive lived in this park for 3 years. When i chose to live here, I chose this park because they advertised, shower access, high speed internet, and a laundry facility, . Now that being said, I had use of tue laundry for about 6 months. The shower is condictional. The internet is "spotty" really only works if youre next to the office. I have to go to someones house to take a shower, wash clothes, and I had to get my internet through metro. The owner, her buisness practicies are garbage. The Whole RV park is riddled with totally gone meth head and fentanyl junkies! Its cheaper to stay a month here then most everywhere, but in the end you get what you pay for. Mar 11, 2025 · Jason CummingsI am giving two stars only for the fact that it was convenient to highway, cheap, and the staff/attendant was pleasant and tried her best to accommodate. If you are looking for cheap, this is your place. When we stayed, the whole place smelled like sewage, our waste drain was full, and there are a large number of full time residents that are slobs. The place was a mess. We pulled out as early as we could and had to pay extra at another gas station to empty our tanks.
Oct 27, 2022 · Sherie TothQuiet, very clean, very convenient to the interstate. Sites are well graveled and level, utilities within easy reach and in fine condition. Both management and neighbors are helpful and congenial. Didn't use the bathhouses, so can't really comment on them except to say I did see them being cleaned morning and evening. Perfect for an overnight on the way, and just fine for longer stays as well. My only "complaint" is pretty minor; the water pressure was a little low (about 25 psi, if memory serves), but it was still fine for a shower in the RV. I would definitely stay again when in the area.
May 12, 2019 · James MadisonIf I could give a minus score I would. I had a reservation for one night. I pulled in and the place was incredibly run down and gave me an uneasy feeling, The office was locked so I called the number on the door and after a couple of tries the manager answered. When she finally showed up she couldn't remember the reservation and said she was full. So before leaving I asked to used the restroom. The toilets were absolutely disgusting. I found another place a few miles away.
Nov 16, 2022 · Joan Puma87I thought about giving 3 1/2 stars, but that's not an option here. This is a very bare-bones campground, all basic amenities, no frills. Took our 32A with Jeep toad in there with no problem, nobody at the office, or answer phone calls. Paid in an envelope, took a $10 Good Sam discount and dropped in $30. Not too noisy, some road and after hours noise, but not bad. Good for an overnight anytime. Close to the interstate and Cracker Barrel. Will stop when by this way again.
