l&l court rv park Introduce
If you're searching for "RV parks near me" in the Edgard, Louisiana area, L&L Court RV Park, located at 3265 LA-18, Edgard, LA 70049, USA, presents a developing option with a focus on providing a clean and generally quiet environment. Originally established as a FEMA park in the aftermath of Hurricane Ida, L&L Court RV Park has served as a crucial temporary housing solution for those affected by the disaster. While the park is still evolving and may have some limitations, it offers a welcoming atmosphere with an owner who is reportedly very helpful and attentive to the needs of guests. You can reach them at (504) 669-8434 or +1 504-669-8434 for inquiries and reservations.
Based on recent customer reviews, the environment at L&L Court RV Park is described as "a quiet place" and "mostly quiet," which can be a significant draw for travelers seeking a peaceful retreat. This tranquility suggests a setting where guests can relax and unwind, away from the noise often associated with more bustling campgrounds or urban areas. The park's origin as a FEMA site indicates a focus on providing essential temporary housing, and this foundation appears to have transitioned into a more publicly accessible RV park.
However, it's important to note some of the limitations mentioned in the reviews. One guest pointed out the absence of a bathhouse and laundromat. While another review mentions "a small coin laundry with a couch open 24 hours," this suggests that full-fledged laundry facilities might still be limited. Additionally, there's a mention of a building at the entrance that seemingly used to be a laundromat but is now closed, indicating that these amenities may be in the process of being re-established or are currently unavailable. Travelers who rely on these facilities should inquire about their current status when booking.
Security is another aspect to consider. One reviewer noted that the gate at the single entrance (one way in, one way out) remained open during their stay, which caused some discomfort. While the reviewer acknowledged the possibility of it being closed and locked, the fact that it was consistently open during their visit is something potential guests might want to discuss with the owner to understand the current security protocols.
Despite these limitations, the overwhelming sentiment from at least one reviewer is one of gratitude. They highlighted the cleanliness of the park, the decent spacing between sites, and the tall chain-link fencing on all sides, contributing to a sense of security and privacy. The reviewer also commended the owner for opening up the property to those who had lost everything, emphasizing the helpful and caring nature of the park's management. This personal touch and willingness to assist guests can be a significant advantage, potentially compensating for some of the current amenity limitations.
Furthermore, the positive interactions with neighbors are also noteworthy. The reviewer specifically mentioned "great neighbors upfront between the highway and the gate" and "some really great folks" within the park. This suggests a friendly and supportive community atmosphere among the guests, which can greatly enhance the overall experience of staying at an RV park, especially for longer durations.
The mention of being "grateful to be out of the hotel it might as well have been heaven" underscores the park's role in providing essential housing during a critical time. This context highlights the park's potential to offer a sense of normalcy and comfort during challenging circumstances, and this underlying mission of support may still resonate in its current operations.
In terms of location, Edgard, Louisiana, while a smaller community, offers a glimpse into the rich cultural heritage of the River Parishes. Staying at L&L Court RV Park provides an opportunity to explore this unique region, potentially visiting historic plantations along the Mississippi River, experiencing local Cajun and Creole cuisine, and enjoying the slower pace of life. While specific attractions within Edgard itself might be limited compared to larger cities, its proximity to the Mississippi River and its historical significance offer a distinct charm.
Given the information available, L&L Court RV Park appears to be a developing facility that prioritizes a quiet and clean environment, managed by a helpful and caring owner. While it may currently lack some of the amenities commonly found in more established RV parks, such as a full bathhouse and a fully operational laundromat, the positive aspects of tranquility, cleanliness, and a supportive community, coupled with the owner's attentiveness, may make it a suitable option for certain travelers. Especially those who prioritize peace and quiet and are perhaps self-sufficient in terms of bathing and laundry or are willing to utilize the small on-site coin laundry.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in the Edgard area, L&L Court RV Park offers a unique option with a history of community support. Potential guests should be prepared for the possibility of limited amenities compared to larger, more established parks and should inquire directly with the owner about the current status of facilities like the bathhouse and laundromat, as well as any security measures in place, such as the operation of the entrance gate. The positive feedback regarding the owner and the quiet atmosphere suggests a potentially pleasant stay for those who value these aspects.
To get the most accurate and up-to-date information, including current rates, availability, and the status of all amenities, it is crucial to contact L&L Court RV Park directly at (504) 669-8434 or +1 504-669-8434. Speaking with the owner will provide the clearest picture of what the park currently offers and allow you to make an informed decision based on your individual needs and preferences when searching for "RV parks near me" in Edgard, Louisiana.

l&l court rv park Reviews
It's a quiet place. Lacks a few things like a bath house and laundromat, but the owner is a very nice guy and will take care of you. I think the building at the entrance used to be a laundromat, but it's closed.
May 09, 2025 · David HebertNew FEMA park after Hurricane IdaAt the time I was there there was no mail delivery or mail boxes. Unable to reach anyone for propane refills that we were instructed to have filled on site. The gate at the single road, one way in, one way out entrence stayed open but could be easily closed and locked... I was quite uncomfortable with that. We were so grateful to be out of the hotel it might as well have been heaven. It was clean, decently spaced, tall chain link on all sides, mostly quiet. There was a small coin laundry with a couch open 24 hours but I hadn't used it. Aside from having our gas siphoned twice and keys disappeared from the vehicle seat during a quick minute run back inside the trailer it was just so wonderful that the person who owned that property opened it up for people who lost everything. Nothing but gratitude and love. Great neighbors upfront between the highway and the gate!! Some really great folks.
Sep 30, 2022 · Jamie GThis is the second time I've stayed here. It's quiet and peaceful. I haven't had any issues at all. The manager is just amazing. He goes above and beyond to be helpful and the people who work for him are genuinely GOOD people. I very much recommend this park to my friends!
