Laguna Hills Estates Introduce
If you're searching for "RV parks near me" with a long-term residential focus, particularly for seniors in the Laguna Hills area of California, Laguna Hills Estates at 23301 Ridge Rte Dr, Laguna Hills, CA 92653, USA, presents a noteworthy option. While not a traditional RV park catering to short-term travelers, Laguna Hills Estates functions as a senior mobile home park community, where residents own their manufactured homes and lease the land. You can reach them at (949) 830-3900 or +1 949-830-3900 for inquiries.
Based on the available resident reviews, the community offers a distinctive living experience with both advantages and potential drawbacks that prospective residents should carefully consider. One significant positive aspect highlighted is its convenient location directly across the street from the Laguna Woods dog park, situated within Laguna Hills. This proximity makes Laguna Hills Estates a potentially attractive option for senior residents who are also dog owners, providing easy access to a dedicated space for their pets to exercise and socialize.
The same review also mentions ongoing construction within the neighborhood spanning several years, which could indicate continuous improvements and updates to the park's infrastructure and amenities. It's noted that the streets have been repaved, suggesting an effort towards maintaining and enhancing the physical environment of the community. Additionally, the long-term presence of friends within the community (for over a decade) could imply a degree of stability and established social connections among residents.
Furthermore, the review points out the diverse nature of the homes within Laguna Hills Estates. While some residences resemble traditional houses, many are described as "mobile homes in every sense of the word," indicating a variety in the style and size of dwellings available. This could offer different price points and housing options to suit various needs and preferences.
The construction of a new clubhouse over several years is also mentioned. Clubhouses in mobile home parks often serve as central hubs for community activities, social gatherings, and recreational facilities. The slow pace of completion might be a point of consideration for potential residents, as the full benefits of this amenity may not be immediately available.
However, another review presents a considerably less favorable perspective on the community's management and atmosphere. This review alleges rudeness from both employees and managers. A serious concern raised is the claim of employees lying to facilitate the towing or removal of residents' or visitors' vehicles without prior warnings, with an immediate "final warning" being a tow. This suggests a potentially strict and unforgiving parking enforcement policy that could cause stress and inconvenience for residents and their guests.
The same negative review also mentions receiving violation warnings for issues purportedly caused by other spaces, indicating potential inaccuracies or a lack of thorough fact-checking by the management when issuing notices. The reviewer further claims that rules within the park are subject to change in favor of the management, which could lead to instability and unpredictability for residents.
Finally, this review concludes by describing the community as seemingly quiet due to restrictions ("nothing is allowed to happen here"), suggesting a potentially overly restrictive environment that may prioritize order over a vibrant and engaging community life. The reviewer characterizes it more as a place to sleep rather than a place to truly live.
Considering these contrasting viewpoints, it is crucial for prospective residents to approach Laguna Hills Estates with a balanced perspective and conduct thorough due diligence. While the proximity to the dog park and ongoing infrastructure improvements could be attractive, the serious allegations regarding management practices and the overall atmosphere warrant careful investigation.
To gain a comprehensive understanding of Laguna Hills Estates, potential residents should consider the following steps:
- Contact Management Directly: Reach out to the management at (949) 830-3900 to inquire about current space rent, park rules and regulations, amenities, construction timelines for the clubhouse, and policies regarding parking and violations.
- Visit the Community: Schedule a visit to observe the environment firsthand. Pay attention to the overall upkeep of the park, the appearance of the homes, and the activity levels within the community areas.
- Inquire About Resident Experiences: If possible and comfortable, try to speak with current residents to gather their personal experiences and perspectives on living in Laguna Hills Estates. Be mindful that individual experiences can vary.
- Review Official Documents: Request and carefully review the lease agreement, park rules, and any other official documents provided by the management. Pay close attention to clauses regarding rent increases, maintenance responsibilities, and dispute resolution processes.
- Investigate Management Practices: Consider researching online for any additional reviews or information about the management company associated with Laguna Hills Estates.
While specific promotional information is not provided in the given text, the potential advantages of Laguna Hills Estates could include its senior-focused environment, its pet-friendly nature due to the proximity to the dog park, and the ongoing efforts to improve the community through construction and infrastructure updates. However, these potential benefits must be weighed against the serious concerns raised in one of the reviews regarding management practices and the overall living atmosphere.
In conclusion, Laguna Hills Estates in Laguna Hills, CA, offers a senior mobile home park living option with a notable location near a dog park and ongoing community improvements. However, prospective residents must be aware of the significant negative feedback regarding management and community atmosphere. Thorough investigation and direct engagement with the management and (if possible) current residents are essential to make an informed decision about whether Laguna Hills Estates is the right fit for their long-term living needs, keeping in mind that it functions as a residential mobile home park rather than a short-term "RV park near me."

Laguna Hills Estates Reviews
This community is right across the street from the Laguna Woods dog park, which is in Laguna Hills. They've been doing construction on this neighborhood for years. We've had friends here for more than a decade. Space rent is fairly high. Some of the homes actually look like houses, but many of them are mobile homes in every sense of the word. They spent years building a new clubhouse and are very slowly working on the rest of the park. At last visit, they had repaved the streets.
Nov 04, 2023 · Gil B. Jr.Not only are their employees rude but the managers I have met are also rude. Employees will lie to try and get your/visitors car towed or removed from the park. There are no warnings. It's an immediate final warning to tow. We have received violation warnings for violations caused by other spaces filed against our space. Employees don't do fact checks before writing anything up and rules will always change to their favor. Looks quiet here because nothing is allowed to happen here. Other than that it's a place to sleep rather than to live.
Aug 02, 2022 · Aaron MenLovely place to live. Great safe area close to what you need but feels private. Clean and quiet and has a well run office. Our family has lived here for over 21 years and want to live another 30. The pool and spa are clean and well maintained and the grounds are beautiful. Great community and very safe. Robin.
Oct 11, 2017 · R McnamaraI was a resident for 10 years and sadly 1 star is as low as they will let me post. I would avoid this park at all costs. The management is pathetic, the rules change to suit their wants and the residents will never know about the rule changes unless they ask(as I was told by the management). The landscaping is nice and the park is quiet, only because the residents are not allowed to use any amenities, and while I lived there I and several neighbors all felt as if we were not allowed to be outside. It is a family park but you don't see kids playing because the rules don't really allow them to, no skateboards, bikes, ride on toys, pretty much anything kids like to play with. I was lucky enough to sell my house before yet another space rent increase, a very regular occurrence, and I feel like I got paroled. This park is a trap, once you get in you cant get out. STAY AWAY!!!!
Nov 20, 2020 · christopher evansThis is for the owner of this park. I don't like writing any reviews but I am very upset. Just to let you know about your employees. they are very rude people. I KNOW the difference between people are doing there job and when people are harassing other people. That needs to stop. I've talk to neighbors and some people are experiencing the same thing but just don't want to say anything because they are afraid they might get kick out. I've never been so stressed out and for my mom to go through this and seeing her cry mostly ever single day for all the stress this park has put her through. I don't know how we are going to get enough money to move my mom out when she just move here 3-4 years ago. So to the owner please looking in to the complaints and make sure that it true in everything they are saying. They are liers.
