Access to the Yellowstone River for fishing is the primary service, and this would typically include a designated area for parking vehicles and pathways leading to the riverbank. Given that overnight camping is permitted (as mentioned in the reviews), the site likely offers designated camping spots. These might range from informal, undeveloped areas suitable for tents to more defined spaces that could accommodate smaller RVs or trailers, although hookups (water, electricity, sewer) are less common at FAS locations unless specifically mentioned. Basic restroom facilities, such as vault toilets, might be available, but it's advisable to be prepared for potentially limited or no restroom facilities, especially at more remote FAS locations. Access to potable water is also not guaranteed at all FAS sites, so campers should plan accordingly. The fact that it's a public access site suggests that it is likely managed by a state or local authority, which might provide basic maintenance and signage.

While specific amenities might be basic, the focus on the river access and the possibility of overnight camping provides a unique offering for those prioritizing these aspects.
Local users considering Bratten Fishing Access Site (FAS) should be prepared for potentially basic amenities, as it is primarily designed for river access. It would be wise to bring their own water and be prepared for limited or no restroom facilities. Tent campers should have gear suitable for potentially undeveloped ground. RVers should be aware of the possibility of no hookups. It's always a good idea to check with local authorities or online resources for any specific regulations or current conditions at Bratten FAS before planning a trip. Bratten Fishing Access Site (FAS) Reviews
Nice camping grounds and access to the Yellowstone River for fishing.
Apr 22, 2024 · Grant EricksonIt was a great place to camp overnight while heading to butte Montana from Sturgis SD to visit Evel Knievel’s grave site.
Jun 01, 2022 · Brian BraatenBeautiful campground, easy access to the river, firepits, picnic tables. The only problem is the trains at night. I counted 8 last night, NoSleep.
Aug 30, 2024 · Betty ChristmanBeautiful scenery, but the train goes by few times at night and is super loud. Didn't get much sleep. Has fire pit, picnic table, restroom.
Jun 29, 2024 · Desislava SchneiderBratten fishing access site is a gem tucked back away from highway 90. The river has a beautiful hint of green in the deep parts with an amazing hilltop as a back drop of the river. Their are 6 campsites available with a fire pit and a picnic table. The fees are $12 a night if you have a fishing license and $18 for no fishing license. If you have an elderly person, veteran or disabled person in your party it is $5 for Montana residents and $7.50 for non residents. The campsites don't offer much in the way of seclusion but campsites are spread out with good distance between them. Amazing views in every direction of trees, rolling hill tops and some rocky cliff tops. Very peaceful here and not real crowded. The bathroom door knob needs work but the people that have come here during our visit were respectful and quite. The fishing is great here. Their are spots suitable for children to play in the river where it is about 4 to 8 inches deep and very shallow and slow water flow. Their is a small conveinence store near buy. They sell snack items and some other food items but if your looking for groceries I would stop at a grocery store on the way as their selection is some what slim but they have a wide variety of snacks and drinks at a reasonable price. The store is located in a small little historic town with old buildings. The store is located a short distance from bratten, about 5 miles. Their are some spots that offer ample shade and sun. If your looking for great fishing or camping you found it.
