Emerald Lake Campground

Fishtail, MT 59028, USA

4.0
The campground is small but sites offer good privacy. The campsites are clean and well maintained. Few campsites have river access. It’s a popular campground and fills up quickly. I saw some reviews mentioning that the last 14 miles of the road was very rough. I went in my Subaru Outback. The first 8 miles are pretty doable for any regular SUV. Where it gets really rough with potholes, washboard and rocks is the last 6 -7 miles of the road. It will be quite rough for an RV or a car but any vehicle will need to be careful in this section. There were roadwork in progress when I went and hopefully, the road might be better in the future. - Manesha Ilapperuma
