Lake City RV Resort Introduce
For those seeking "RV parks near me" in the Lake City, Florida area, Lake City RV Resort is located at 3864 US-441, Lake City, FL 32055, USA. They can be reached at (386) 752-0830 or +1 386-752-0830 for inquiries and reservations. Based on recent customer reviews, the resort presents a mix of appealing features and potential drawbacks that prospective visitors should carefully consider.
One reviewer described Lake City RV Resort as a "beautiful resort with interesting and attractive landscaping." This suggests that the aesthetic appeal of the park is a significant positive, potentially offering a pleasant and visually appealing environment for guests. The mention of a "fishing pond and the gazebo" further enhances this image, indicating opportunities for relaxation and enjoying the outdoors within the resort grounds. These features could be particularly attractive to travelers looking for a scenic and tranquil setting during their stay.
The availability of a "community room with many game tables and entertainment options" is another noteworthy feature highlighted in the positive review. This suggests that the resort offers indoor recreational facilities, which can be a valuable amenity, especially during inclement weather or for those seeking social interaction and entertainment within the park. The ease of "after hours self-checkin" was also mentioned as a positive aspect, indicating convenience for late arrivals.
However, this positive review also pointed out a significant limitation: "the spaces in our row were very narrow." This is a crucial consideration for RV owners, as narrow spaces can impact the ability to comfortably park, extend slide-outs, and have adequate room for maneuvering around the campsite. The reviewer, traveling in a 40' Class A towing an SUV, noted that they had to unhook to exit their pull-through space due to both narrow roads and narrow spaces. While they found their space to be "quite level," the issue of narrowness appears to be a notable constraint.
In stark contrast to the generally positive tone of the first review regarding the aesthetics and amenities, a second reviewer expressed strong dissatisfaction, stating, "It is a hard pass for future stays. Saying it's a resort is a stretch." This immediately sets a negative tone and suggests a significant difference in experience or expectations. This reviewer echoed the concern about space, noting, "Just enough space for slides on the driver side. The main side, once the stairs were down, only 4 feet left on the concrete pad. That was your boundary." This paints a picture of very limited space on the non-hookup side of the RV, potentially restricting outdoor living and movement around the campsite.
A particularly concerning aspect raised in the negative review pertains to the management. The reviewer stated that "Management definitely needs hospitality training, or at least the one we dealt with. She was on the attack from the time we pulled up and didn't let up." This indicates a severe issue with customer service, which can significantly detract from the overall experience of any lodging establishment. The reviewer further elaborated on a negative interaction upon arrival, triggered by parking 30 feet further at the office than the manager thought appropriate (due to no signage and the need for the wife to exit the driveway safely). This seemingly minor issue reportedly led to an "absolute meltdown" from the manager.
The negative reviewer also suggested a potential bias towards long-term campers, stating, "It appeared to cater long term campers, but because we were staying one night shouldn't have been an issue." This implies that short-term guests might not receive the same level of welcome or accommodation as those staying for longer periods. The reviewer concluded by stating they could say more but felt they had conveyed the point, underscoring a significantly negative experience.
Considering both reviews, Lake City RV Resort appears to offer visually appealing landscaping, a fishing pond, a gazebo, and indoor recreational facilities like a game room. The self-check-in process is also noted as convenient. However, significant concerns have been raised regarding the narrowness of the campsites and potentially challenging maneuvering within the park. Furthermore, a serious issue with customer service from at least one member of the management was reported, suggesting a potential lack of hospitality. There is also a hint of a possible preference for long-term over short-term guests.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Lake City, Florida, Lake City RV Resort presents a mixed bag. The attractive aesthetics and amenities might be appealing, but the reported narrow spaces could be a significant drawback for larger RVs or those desiring more space around their campsite. The negative experience with management is a serious concern that potential visitors should weigh heavily, as customer service can greatly impact the overall enjoyment of a stay. While one reviewer had a generally positive experience (albeit noting the narrowness), the other's account of hostile management and cramped conditions suggests a considerable risk of an unpleasant stay.
Prospective guests are strongly advised to contact Lake City RV Resort directly at (386) 752-0830 or +1 386-752-0830 to inquire specifically about campsite sizes and layout to ensure they can comfortably accommodate their RV. It would also be prudent to ask about the park's policies regarding short-term stays and to gauge the level of customer service during the inquiry process. Reading more recent reviews from various platforms might also provide a broader and more current perspective on the resort's conditions and management practices to help make an informed decision when considering "RV parks near me" in Lake City.

Lake City RV Resort Reviews
Beautiful resort with interesting and attractive landscaping. Loved the fishing pond and the gazebo. The community room has many game tables and entertainment options. After hours self- checkin was easy.. i didn't visit their bathrooms, laundry, or use their Wifi so I can't speak for those. The only downside I noticed was that the spaces in our row were very narrow. The space was quite level though. We were initially unsure if we would be able to open our slide fully. All-in-all, it was a great place to stay for the night directly by the highway. We stayed in 40' Class A towing SUV. We did have to unhook to exit our pull-through space due to narrow roads and narrow spaces.
Apr 27, 2025 · Moonie StuffIt is a hard pass for future stays. Saying it's a resort is a stretch. Just enough space for slides on the driver side. The main side, once the stairs were down, only 4 feet left on the concrete pad. That was your boundary. Management definitely needs hospitality training, or at least the one we dealt with. She was on the attack from the time we pulled up and didn't let up. If it had not been paid in advance and from the behavior of this "lady" a refund would have been an act of war. It appeared to cater long term campers, but because we were staying one night shouldn't have been an issue. This behavior was caused by me pulling up 30 feet furtherat the office than she thought I should, (no signage), so my wife could get out of the driveway. This caused an absolute meltdown. Could say more you get the point.
Mar 14, 2025 · Arthur SchnellerThis park is amazing. Sites are pull thru and full hookup including cable. We have a 35 ft rig and had ample space for our rig and our 8ft bed truck without unhooking. The grounds and the club house are well maintained. I used the club house which was clean and took an actual hot shower. The price is reasonable. The staff were friendly and accommodating. I would recommend this RV Resort. You wont be disappointed.
Jan 13, 2025 · L G“Resort” only in the owner's wildest dreams, this place is a far cry. The property sits next to I10 so truck noise all night. Enter property on a muddy pitted out narrow driveway, impossible for two way traffic to pass. Crawl through the enormous potholes or lose an axle. Only a few sites are surrounded by trees. Sites are an unlevel thin layer of gravel over soil and grass. The rotting picnic table sits on a small broken up concrete pad. The only “resort” feature is a very small outdoor pool it was not heated. Reception was nice but there are better parks in the vicinity.
Mar 12, 2025 · B CatExcellent Park for overnight or longer stay. Property managers and staff were very polite and friendly. Easy access from I-10, with fuel and other services close by or just a few minutes away. Grounds are well maintained and clean. Has an enclosed dog park. Would highly recommend to all.
