Lakeview Park Inc. Introduce
For individuals searching the "RV Parks Near Me" platform, Lakeview Park Inc. in Balsam Lake, WI, presents a distinct option for both short-term and seasonal RV camping. Located at 625 N State Rd 46, Balsam Lake, WI 54810, USA, this park offers access to Balsam Lake, a popular destination in Polk County, Wisconsin, known for its recreational opportunities.
Lakeview Park Inc. is situated on the very west end of Balsam Lake in Polk County, Wisconsin. Balsam Lake is the largest lake in Polk County, spanning over 2,054 acres with 65 miles of shoreline, making it a prime location for water-based activities. The lake is known for its excellent fishing, with a variety of species including Musky, Panfish, Largemouth Bass, Northern Pike, and Walleye. Visitors can also enjoy waterskiing, boating, and swimming. The area surrounding Balsam Lake offers a quintessential Wisconsin Northwoods experience, characterized by natural beauty and a relaxed atmosphere. While some reviews suggest a "quiet and relaxing atmosphere" within the park, it's crucial to note contrasting feedback that describes some sites as being "literally 50 feet from a very busy road" with "constant cars at 45 to 60 MPH," leading to a less "peaceful camping experience." This suggests that the environment within the park can vary significantly depending on the specific site. The village of Balsam Lake itself offers local businesses, dining options, and attractions, providing conveniences and entertainment beyond the campground. The broader Polk County area boasts an array of outdoor activities, including numerous lakes, the Gandy Dancer bike trail, and opportunities for hiking, hunting, and snowmobiling in the winter, making it a year-round destination.
Lakeview Park Inc. primarily caters to RV and camping enthusiasts and operates seasonally, typically from May through September. The park offers both seasonal and short-term campsites, indicating flexibility for different types of stays. Specifically, it has 64 seasonal campsites and 11 short-term campsites. Key services and features include:
- Full Hookups: Many sites, including all seasonal and most short-term sites, offer "all the hookups you need," including water, electricity (with options for 20, 30, and 50 amp service, though the available information does not explicitly confirm 50-amp at Balsam Lake, this is a common offering in RV parks), and a dump station for wastewater.
- Campsite Amenities: Each site typically includes a "clean picnic table and a big fire ring," enhancing the traditional camping experience and allowing for outdoor cooking and social gatherings.
- Water Access: The park's location on Balsam Lake means potential for direct lake access or very close proximity. Reviews mention "the water was so clean," which is a positive indicator for swimming or water sports.
- On-Site Facilities: While not explicitly detailed for Lakeview Park Inc. in Balsam Lake, similar RV parks often provide amenities like bathhouses with showers and restrooms. The review about finding a phone in the water suggests a friendly community where owners are helpful.
- Owner/Management Presence: The "Owners are very friendly!!" comment indicates a positive relationship between management and campers, often leading to a more pleasant stay.
- Recreational Opportunities: The park's setting on Balsam Lake allows for easy access to fishing, boating, and other lake activities. The ability to "see the Fireworks from our spot" suggests a favorable location for viewing local events.
- Seasonal Operation: The park is open from May to September, catering to the warmer weather camping season in Wisconsin.
Lakeview Park Inc. promotes itself as a place to "Experience Camping in Balsam Lake Wisconsin!" and invites visitors to join them for "Camping in our Campground & RV Park." The emphasis appears to be on providing a quiet and relaxing atmosphere, leveraging its scenic location on Balsam Lake. The park highlights its full hookup sites and the presence of amenities like picnic tables and fire rings as essential components of a comfortable camping experience. The availability of both seasonal and short-term sites is a key promotional aspect, attracting campers seeking either a summer-long retreat or a brief getaway. The website for Lakeview Park Inc. also mentions that they host two separate communities: the Campground/RV Park and a Senior (55+) Mobile Home Retirement Community, though the focus for this introduction is the RV Park section. For booking and specific rate information, interested parties are encouraged to contact Lakeview Park Inc. directly at (715) 485-3561 or +1 715-485-3561. The address is 625 N State Rd 46, Balsam Lake, WI 54810, USA.
While some reviews are highly positive, praising the friendly owners, clean water, and full hookups, it is crucial for potential campers to consider the contrasting negative feedback. A significant concern raised by a reviewer is the "VERY tight" nature of the sites, which led to an awning being torn during maneuvering. This suggests that larger RVs or those with less experienced drivers might face challenges. Another major point of contention is the proximity of some sites to a "very busy road," leading to constant noise from cars traveling at high speeds. This directly contradicts the idea of a "peaceful camping experience" and is a critical factor for those seeking tranquility. Furthermore, the reviewer states that the rates are "very high for such poor location," citing $45 per day to be "literally on a highway." This raises concerns about value for money, especially for short-term stays. While the exact current rates are not explicitly provided in the provided information, it is important to confirm them directly with the park and weigh them against the site quality and location. The critical review specifically "Do not recommend for short term camping!" highlights that the experience might be more suitable for seasonal campers who are less impacted by a single site's drawbacks or who prioritize the long-term community aspect. Prospective campers are strongly advised to inquire about specific site locations, consider the potential for road noise, and if possible, view the sites before booking, particularly if seeking a peaceful short-term stay or if navigating a large RV.

Lakeview Park Inc. Reviews
They have all the hook ups you need, wate electricity, dump station, clean picnic table and a big fire ring. The water was so clean. Dropped my phone in the water, the couple we were talking to found it and returned it to me. Thank you!! Omg, it still works. We could see the Fireworks from our spot, and Owners are very friendly!!
Jul 05, 2022 · Benay FlinkThe 1 star is for full hook up service. The map of grounds distorts how much space there is. The sites are VERY tight. While maneuvering through a tight area a branch tore our awning. One of our sites is literally 50 feet from a very busy road. Cars are constant at 45 to 60 MPH. It has not been a peaceful camping experience! Also the rates are very high for such poor location. $45 per day to literally be on a highway! Do not recommend for short term camping!
Sep 04, 2022 · Bonnie ArmstrongI think it's awful what these people charge for seasonal place and then put a limit on how many days you can be there per season and supposedly the people can buy their homes in the park but their not allowed to do this and getting charged for that and then to top it all off the owners of the park were big bully's at least in my opinion! This situation has made it hard for me to go visit my friend because I don't like how they treat her and she won't speak up!! It's really to bad cuz it is kind of a nice o
Jul 13, 2024 · Linda BurokerVery nice place with amazing views. The owners are really nice and always helpful. A great place to see deer and wildlife.
Sep 03, 2021 · Jonah MayerSpent majority of the summer here and it was great. Very clean and well maintained. The owners are amazing. They will go out of there way to make sure your stay is nothing but memorable and amazing. We would highly recommend this campground to anyone looking for an amazing experience. We will definitely be back for many years to come. Thank to Steve and Laura for making it great!
