Lamplighter Estates Introduce
Lamplighter Estates, located at 4801 Goldfield Dr in San Antonio, Texas, is a mobile home park that may appear in searches for "RV parks near me" due to the platform's broader categorization of residential parks. However, it's important to note that based on available information, Lamplighter Estates primarily functions as a mobile home park with long-term residency and does not appear to cater specifically to short-term RV stays. Therefore, local users specifically seeking overnight or short-term RV parking may need to look elsewhere. This introduction will focus on the information available regarding Lamplighter Estates as a mobile home park for potential long-term residents.
Based on recent reviews from individuals claiming to be residents of Lamplighter Estates, there are significant concerns regarding the management, security, and infrastructure of the park that prospective residents should be aware of. These reviews paint a picture that starkly contrasts with a potentially positive past under previous management.
One long-term resident expressed considerable dissatisfaction with the current management, stating that it is "terrible." A major concern highlighted was the lack of security within the community, as they reported "no gates" and frequent theft of personal property. This absence of controlled access raises serious questions about the safety and security of residents and their belongings within Lamplighter Estates.
The same reviewer also pointed out several infrastructure issues within the park. They mentioned that the "little ghts go out just about Everytime it rains," indicating potential problems with the electrical system's reliability. Furthermore, they recounted an extended period of at least two weeks where residents were reliant on generators, without any reimbursement for spoiled groceries, suggesting a lack of support or compensation for inconveniences caused by infrastructure failures.
The recreational amenities within Lamplighter Estates also appear to be lacking according to this resident. They stated that they haven't seen a playground "in years," implying that this amenity may be non-existent or severely neglected. Similarly, the billiards facility was described as "funny on tables or balls either," suggesting that the equipment is in poor condition and unusable.
Adding to the security concerns, the reviewer mentioned that the park "used to have security, but they let her go, so now anyone can come walking in and rob us." This indicates a perceived decline in safety measures and increased vulnerability for the residents. The reviewer concluded by expressing a significant decrease in their quality of life and a feeling of fear for their safety within the community, contrasting it with a positive experience under previous management.
A second, even more critical review echoed the sentiment of terrible new management, describing them as "always rude, condescending and patronizing." This paints a concerning picture of the interactions residents may have with the park's administration, potentially leading to a negative living experience.
This reviewer also shared a specific incident involving their car being hit in their driveway, right in front of the office. Their request to review security cameras was allegedly dismissed by the manager, who claimed the cameras only faced the entrance and did not follow up despite promising to contact corporate. This lack of assistance and follow-through raises serious questions about the management's responsiveness to residents' needs and concerns, even in situations involving property damage within the park.
Furthermore, this second review corroborated the infrastructure issues, reporting "power surges in the community" that caused lights to flicker and damaged personal appliances, including a laptop battery, water heater, furnace, and the digital display on a stove, rendering the oven unusable. The alleged response from management to these significant issues was dismissive, with the manager reportedly stating, "we are not responsible for anything inside the house." This lack of responsibility for damages caused by park-wide infrastructure problems is a major red flag for potential residents.
Given the impending cold weather mentioned in the review ("weather is going to be under 30 degrees"), the failure of essential utilities like the furnace and water heater is particularly concerning for the health and safety of residents. The management's alleged stance of non-responsibility for these critical issues within the homes is deeply troubling.
Based on these two highly negative and detailed reviews, Lamplighter Estates in San Antonio, TX, appears to be facing significant challenges under its current management. The reported lack of security, frequent infrastructure problems, neglect of recreational amenities, and dismissive attitude of the management towards residents' concerns paint a concerning picture for prospective residents.
To summarize the significant issues raised by the available reviews:
- Terrible New Management: Described as rude, condescending, and patronizing, with a lack of responsiveness to residents' concerns.
- Lack of Security: No gates and reports of frequent theft of personal property, with the elimination of previous security personnel.
- Unreliable Infrastructure: Frequent power outages during rain, reliance on generators for extended periods without compensation, and power surges causing damage to residents' appliances.
- Neglected Amenities: Playground reportedly non-existent for years, and billiards equipment in unusable condition.
- Management Disclaimer of Responsibility: Refusal to take responsibility for damages to residents' property caused by park infrastructure issues.
- Safety Concerns: Residents expressing fear for their safety due to lack of security.
Given these serious and consistent negative reports, local users searching for "RV parks near me" or mobile home parks in San Antonio should exercise extreme caution when considering Lamplighter Estates for long-term residency. The information available strongly suggests a community facing significant challenges related to management, security, and infrastructure, potentially leading to a negative and unsafe living environment.
There is no information available in the provided reviews regarding any promotional offers or positive aspects of the park under the current management. The overwhelming sentiment is one of dissatisfaction and concern among at least two long-term residents.
Prospective residents are strongly advised to seek further information from multiple sources, including recent reviews and direct communication with the park management, although the reported experiences suggest that interactions with the current management may be negative. A thorough investigation and consideration of these serious concerns are essential before making any decisions regarding residency at Lamplighter Estates.
In conclusion, while Lamplighter Estates may appear as a potential option when searching for "RV parks near me" due to platform categorization, the available reviews focus on its function as a mobile home park and paint a concerning picture of the community under its current management. Significant issues related to security, infrastructure, and the management's responsiveness to residents' needs have been reported, making it crucial for potential residents to proceed with extreme caution and conduct thorough due diligence before considering this park as their home.

Lamplighter Estates Reviews
Hello, the management at lamplighter is terrible, they have no gates and personal property gets stolen all the time, the little ghts go out just about Everytime it rains, they had us on generators for at least 2 weeks , no reimbursement for groceries, and I haven't seen a playground in years, billiards, funny on tables or balls either, they used to have security, but they let her go, so now anyone can come walking in and rob us. This place used to be great under Betty's management, sorry to see her go, she kept the place going, I was happy to live here, now I'm scared to walk outside.
Jan 31, 2025 · Jill Warren ThomasSTAY AWAY! New management is Terrible ,always rude ,condescending and patronizing . Recently my car was hit in my driveway right in front of the office I asked the manager to review the security cameras, she said the cameras only face the driveway coming in to the mobile park, the truck that hit my vehicle drove through there, she said she would have to contact corporate, She never asked for the time or date, she was just blowing me off, she never followed up. Recently there has been power surges in the community , my lights flicker, this ruined the battery on my laptop, my water heater doesn’t work, furnace doesn’t work, it ruined the digital display on my stove and I can’t use the oven ,in the next few days the weather is going to be under 30 degrees , her response is “we are not responsible for anything inside the house STAY AWAY, DON’T BUY or LEASE HERE!

Oct 24, 2024 · Nancy RiveraThis park just keep going down hill. No one cares it's all about the money. Office is always close. No maintenance person around to help you when there is a water leak or electric goes out. The manager doesn't care about the tenants she is very evil.
