Mission City RV Park Introduce
For those searching for "RV parks near me" in the vibrant city of San Antonio, Texas, Mission City RV Park, located at 1011 Gembler Rd, San Antonio, TX 78219, USA, stands out as an excellent option based on glowing customer reviews. This RV park offers a combination of well-maintained facilities, convenient amenities, and strategic location, making it an ideal base for exploring the rich cultural and historical attractions of San Antonio.
Multiple reviewers have consistently praised the cleanliness of Mission City RV Park. One guest described it as an "Excellent RV park. Very clean," a sentiment echoed by another who noted that "Everything very clean and well maintained." This emphasis on cleanliness suggests that the park management prioritizes hygiene and upkeep, ensuring a comfortable and pleasant stay for all visitors.
The quality of the RV sites is another frequently highlighted feature. Guests have appreciated the "great RV sites with concrete pads," which provide a stable and level foundation for their RVs. The inclusion of a picnic table at each site adds to the convenience and allows guests to enjoy outdoor meals and relaxation right at their parking space. One reviewer specifically mentioned the ease of parking in the "Great pull through sites," which is particularly beneficial for those traveling with larger motorhomes or towing vehicles, simplifying the arrival and departure process.
The staff at Mission City RV Park have also received positive feedback. One guest mentioned that "The young lady who escorted me to my site was very helpful," indicating a welcoming and supportive service from the park personnel. This personal assistance upon arrival can greatly enhance the initial impression and make guests feel more comfortable and oriented.
For pet owners, Mission City RV Park offers a significant amenity: a "very spacious and well kept" dog run. This dedicated area allows dogs to exercise and socialize safely, a feature that is highly valued by travelers who bring their furry companions. The consistent praise for the dog run's size and maintenance suggests that it is a well-thought-out and cared-for facility within the park.
Connectivity is also a plus at Mission City RV Park. One reviewer noted that "The WiFi was more reliable than some of the other parks I have visited on my trip." In today's digital age, reliable internet access is crucial for many travelers, whether for work, communication, or entertainment, and the positive feedback on the park's Wi-Fi is a significant advantage.
Beyond the practical amenities, Mission City RV Park offers appealing recreational and aesthetic features. Guests have enjoyed the "Beautiful pool area and lounging areas," providing a relaxing space to unwind and cool off, especially during the Texas heat. The presence of "delightful decorative garden art" adds a touch of charm and visual appeal to the park's environment, creating a more pleasant and inviting atmosphere.
Location is a key advantage of Mission City RV Park, particularly for those interested in exploring San Antonio's famous attractions. The park offers convenient access to the River Walk and the Alamo. One reviewer explicitly mentioned that the "Bus stop at front gate made it easy to go straight to the Alamo and River Walk." This direct public transportation option eliminates the hassle of driving and parking in busy tourist areas, making it easy and convenient to experience these iconic landmarks.
While the vast majority of the feedback is positive, one reviewer did point out a potential safety concern regarding "indoor extension cords being used outdoors to power the fairy lights that are wrapped around some of the trees and poles." They specifically raised a concern for male dogs who might be inclined to urinate on these areas, potentially leading to a "real surprise." This observation, while related to decorative lighting, is an important point regarding potential electrical hazards in outdoor environments and suggests an area where the park might consider using outdoor-rated electrical equipment.
Another guest mentioned the availability of a "covered ride share/uber bench just outside of the security gate." This provides an alternative transportation option for those who prefer ride-sharing services over the bus, offering flexibility in how guests choose to explore the city.
Considering the overwhelmingly positive reviews highlighting the cleanliness, quality of RV sites, helpful staff, excellent dog run, reliable Wi-Fi, beautiful pool area, and convenient access to San Antonio's attractions via the bus stop, Mission City RV Park is a strong contender for those searching for "RV parks near me" in the area. The pull-through sites are particularly beneficial for larger RVs, and the concrete pads and picnic tables enhance the comfort of each site.
However, potential guests should be aware of the concern raised regarding the outdoor use of indoor extension cords for lighting and consider this if traveling with pets. The availability of a ride-share bench offers another transportation option in addition to the bus.

Mission City RV Park Reviews
Excellent RV park. Very clean, great RV sites with concrete pads and a picnic table. The young lady who escorted me to my site was very helpful. The dog run is very spacious and well kept. The WiFi was more reliable than some of the other parks I have visited on my trip. The only downside is that there are indoor extension cords being used outdoors to power the fairy lights that are wrapped around some of the trees and poles. I don’t have a male dog, but if I did, he would probably get a real surprise if he decided to use that tree or pole as male dogs are wont to do.I didn’t use the bus to the River Walk, there’s a covered ride share/uber bench just outside of the security gate.

Beautiful pool area and lounging areas and delightful decorative garden art . Everything very clean and well maintained. Bus stop at front gate made it easy to go straight to the Alamo and River Walk. Wish we could have stayed longer. Thank you 😊
