For local users in the vicinity of Laurie and Gravois Mills, Missouri, who are searching for "RV parks near me" for short-term stays or long-term parking solutions, Laurie RV Park & Storage, situated at 515 Hwy O, Gravois Mills, MO 65037, USA, presents itself as a local establishment. They can be contacted at (573) 374-8469 or +1 573-374-8469 for inquiries about availability and services. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of the RV park and storage facility based on the available customer reviews, encompassing aspects of the environment, services, features, and any potential concerns raised by visitors.
The environment of Laurie RV Park & Storage is described by one reviewer as "very beautiful" and "very quiet." This suggests that the location may offer a peaceful and aesthetically pleasing setting, which could be a significant draw for local users seeking a tranquil getaway or a serene base while exploring the Lake of the Ozarks region. The park is also noted to be in a "very convenient place of Laurie," implying easy access to local amenities, attractions, and services within the town.
However, the positive aspects of the environment are contrasted by concerns regarding the management and maintenance of the park's facilities. One significant issue raised is the absence of a camp host. The reviewer expresses a strong need for one, citing problems with "random people who do not stay on the premises" using the showers, restrooms, and laundry facility. This behavior not only compromises the privacy and convenience of paying guests but also raises potential security concerns. Additionally, the laundry facility is mentioned as needing "a regular cleaning," indicating a potential lapse in maintenance standards.
The lack of a camp host is further linked to potential financial losses for the park, with the reviewer stating that "there are people who pull in campers and stay for free because no one checks on the place!" This suggests a lack of oversight and security, which could be a deterrent for local users concerned about the integrity and fairness of the park's operations.
Another serious concern raised by a different reviewer involves a significant service failure. They recount a "total nightmare" experience where "sewage backed up outside our camper" and created a foul odor for days. Despite notifying the owner, the reviewer claims that "did nothing for us." This inaction is particularly troubling as the sewage backup persisted even when the guests were not using their own facilities, indicating a potential issue with the park's sewage system affecting multiple sites. This incident raises serious questions about the responsiveness of the management to critical infrastructure problems and the overall quality of the services provided.
Furthermore, the first reviewer also mentions a negative perception of the owner, stating, "Owner isn’t a super nice person from what we have gathered." While subjective, this feedback could influence the overall experience of local users who value positive and responsive interactions with park management.
In terms of features, the reviews mention restrooms and a laundry facility, although the cleanliness of the latter is questioned. The presence of showers is also noted, but their accessibility to non-guests is a concern. Beyond these basic amenities, no other specific features such as Wi-Fi, recreational areas, or organized activities are mentioned in the available feedback. The primary focus of the reviews is on the management, security, and maintenance aspects of the park.
Regarding storage, the name "Laurie RV Park & Storage" suggests that the facility offers storage options, likely for RVs, campers, and possibly other vehicles or items. However, the customer reviews do not provide any specific details about the storage services, such as the types of storage available (e.g., covered, uncovered), pricing, security measures, or accessibility. Local users interested in storage solutions would need to contact the park directly for this information.
There is no promotional information present in the provided customer reviews. The feedback focuses on personal experiences and observations rather than any special offers or incentives being advertised by the park management.
In conclusion, while Laurie RV Park & Storage may offer a "beautiful" and "quiet" environment in a convenient location near Laurie, MO, the available customer reviews raise significant concerns that local users should carefully consider. The lack of a camp host appears to lead to security issues and potential misuse of facilities by non-guests. Furthermore, a severe incident of sewage backup with alleged inaction from the owner indicates potential problems with the park's infrastructure and responsiveness to guest issues. The negative sentiment expressed towards the owner's demeanor adds another layer of caution. For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in the Gravois Mills and Laurie area, it is strongly recommended to contact Laurie RV Park & Storage directly at (573) 374-8469 or +1 573-374-8469 to inquire about the current management practices, security measures, maintenance protocols, and the condition of the facilities. It would also be prudent to seek recent feedback from other sources before making a decision to stay at or store their RV at this location.

Laurie RV Park & Storage Reviews
Very beautiful place and very quiet. In a very convenient place of Laurie. There is no camp host which I find different and I see the need for one greatly as random people who do not stay on the premises take showers, use the restrooms, and laundry facility which also could use a regular cleaning. Another reason to add for a camp host is there are people who pull in campers and stay for free because no one checks on the place! Owner isn’t a super nice person from what we have gathered.
Sep 30, 2024 · Lyndsey stanleyAlways a nice time here. Very quiet. We have stayed here a few times and loved it. This time was a total nightmare. Sewage backed up outside our camper. It smelled so bad for days. The owner was notified and did nothing for us. It kept backing up even when we weren't using our bathroom. Other people's sewage was coming out.
Apr 08, 2023 · NikkiIt was okay,Overall quite, showers need cleaning, only a set of washer/dryer and some people like to monopolize them, which does not allow others use of. . Roads could use some maintenance. There's lots of wildlife and reasonable prices. Free wifi.. owners are nice but not on site. But can reach out to them if needed.
Nov 07, 2022 · Michell MillerQuiet campground with large pull thrus. Great place to set up camp and tour the area if you are not one looking for amenities, however no cheaper. Most likely you will not find children here since there is nothing for them. All booking and questions are done on phone, no office.
Jun 24, 2021 · Debbie ProsienskiStayed at the park during a quiet weekend at the lake. Staff was very friendly and accommodating allowing us to have our pick of the open sites. Grounds were well maintained and the rv pads were level. Also, there was a large amount of lawn space between sites. Pet friendly. Only detractors were that the park had gravel drives instead of paved concrete, and you could hear rock and roll music from a bar while outside in to the late evening. If tent camping this might be annoying but any sort of RVer should not worry as it was very faint in the distance. Will be staying there again when in the area.
