Lockhart Meadows RV Park & Tiny Homes Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Lockhart, Texas area, Lockhart Meadows RV Park & Tiny Homes, located at 4889 US-183, Lockhart, TX 78644, is a facility that offers both RV sites and tiny home rentals. You can reach them at (512) 398-9000 or +1 512-398-9000 for inquiries about availability, pricing, and specific features. Based on the available customer reviews, there appear to be both positive and negative aspects to consider when evaluating this park.
On the positive side, one long-term resident of two years notes that they consistently observe improvements being made to the property. This suggests an ongoing effort to maintain and upgrade the facilities, which can be a significant benefit for both short-term travelers and long-term residents. Another reviewer highlights the park's favorable location, describing it as being situated away from the "craziness" of the city while still being within a short driving distance of Austin. This balance of a peaceful setting with convenient access to urban amenities could be appealing to many RVers and those considering tiny home living.
Furthermore, one comment indicates that complaints seem to be handled accordingly and respectfully. This suggests that the management is responsive to resident concerns and strives to address them in a professional manner, which is a crucial aspect of a positive living or travel experience in an RV park or tiny home community. The park is also described as "very welcoming for travelers," implying a friendly and accommodating atmosphere for those who are passing through or visiting the area.
However, a significant portion of the recent feedback presents serious concerns regarding the park's management. One reviewer stated that if they could give the place zero stars, they would, explicitly recommending that the manager should be replaced. This strongly negative sentiment is echoed in other reviews detailing specific negative interactions with the management.
One particularly concerning account describes an incident where lawn maintenance personnel allegedly broke the reviewer's RV window. According to this review, the park manager allegedly refused to take any responsibility, instructing the residents to deal with the lawn care company directly. The reviewer further mentioned that a police officer advised that the park should be liable for repairs if the lawn company was uninsured or did not take responsibility, as the park hires the service. This lack of support from management in a situation involving property damage is a significant issue for potential residents and travelers to consider.
Adding to this negative experience, the same reviewer recounted an uncomfortable and intimidating encounter with three lawn care workers at their RV, where they were allegedly pressured into signing a document accepting $600 for repairs that were estimated to cost $1,200. The reviewer stated that the manager was aware that the $600 was insufficient to cover the repair costs and that they ultimately had to pay the remaining balance themselves. This raises serious questions about the management's ethical conduct and commitment to the well-being of their residents.
Another recent review expresses frustration with the manager's handling of a security deposit inquiry, stating that the manager claimed not to handle deposits, leaving the reviewer wondering who was responsible for this aspect of their residency. This lack of clarity and apparent passing of responsibility can be indicative of organizational issues within the management structure.
The concluding remark in one of the negative reviews advises others to "seriously, there are nicer RV parks" and suggests finding one with cement floors to avoid the troubles experienced at Lockhart Meadows RV Park & Tiny Homes. While the comment about cement floors might be a specific preference or related to a particular issue encountered, the overall sentiment strongly recommends looking elsewhere for RV or tiny home living options.
Considering the contrasting feedback, potential residents and travelers should weigh the reported improvements and convenient location against the serious allegations of poor management, lack of support in property damage incidents, and unprofessional behavior. It is crucial for anyone interested in Lockhart Meadows RV Park & Tiny Homes to conduct their own thorough investigation. This should include directly contacting the management to discuss their policies and procedures, especially regarding property damage and resident support. Visiting the park in person to assess the environment and potentially speaking with current residents (if feasible) could also provide valuable insights.
Given the severity of some of the negative experiences reported, particularly concerning the handling of the RV window damage and the interaction with the lawn care workers, prospective residents should proceed with caution and ensure they feel comfortable with the management's responsiveness and commitment to resident well-being before making a decision. While the park may offer some appealing attributes, the quality of management can significantly impact the overall living or travel experience.
In conclusion, Lockhart Meadows RV Park & Tiny Homes offers a location near both Lockhart and Austin, with some residents noting ongoing improvements and a welcoming atmosphere for travelers. However, significant concerns have been raised regarding the management's professionalism, responsiveness to resident issues, and handling of property damage incidents. Local users searching for "RV parks near me" in this area should carefully consider these points and conduct thorough personal due diligence before deciding if Lockhart Meadows RV Park & Tiny Homes meets their needs and expectations. Direct communication with the management at (512) 398-9000 or +1 512-398-9000 is highly recommended to gather further information and address any concerns arising from the recent reviews.

Lockhart Meadows RV Park & Tiny Homes Reviews
I’ve been a resident for 2 years and i always see improvements being done.good location, away from all the craziness of the city but still a short drive from Austin.complaints seem to be handled accordingly and respectfully.Very welcoming for travelers.
Apr 30, 2025 · Ricardo ZermenoIf I could rate this place 0 stars I would. The manager should be replaced. All talk about her residents being priority, blah blah blah, actions speak louder than words. If she even answers the phone.Very rude since we arrived, doesn’t even wave or smile to residents when she is even there. Had an incident where the lawn people broke our RV window. She wanted no part in it and completely blew us off saying to deal with the lawn guys on our own. The police officer stated the park should be liable for repairs if the lawn company didn’t take responsibility because they should hire a company who is insured.Three lawn guys came to our Rv and made us feel uncomfortable and intimated us and made us feel bad and the manager told us his worker was not getting paid for 2 weeks and forced my husband to sign giving us $600 when he knew the estimate repairs for it would be $1,200. We came home and had to pay for the rest of the repairs ourselves.I just got off the phone with the manager asking about the security deposit and she says she doesn’t handle the deposits. Then who?Seriously, there are nicer RV parks. Find one with cement floors and save yourself all this trouble we had.
