Log Cabin RV Park Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Jasper, Texas area, Log Cabin RV Park, located at 3550 US Hwy 190 W, Jasper, TX 75951, USA, is one option you might encounter. They can be reached at (409) 384-4900 or +1 409-384-4900 for inquiries about availability and policies. However, it is important to note that recent customer reviews provide insights into the park's practices and atmosphere that potential visitors should consider carefully.
Log Cabin RV Park, as a listing in the "RV parks near me" category, aims to provide a place for recreational vehicle travelers to stay and access necessary amenities. However, feedback from recent guests highlights some potential areas of concern regarding pricing, pet policies, parking arrangements, and customer service. These experiences should be taken into account when evaluating whether this park meets your needs and expectations.
One reviewer mentioned that while the park appeared "nicer than most," there was a discrepancy between the pricing advertised online and the actual price charged. Additionally, this guest reported being denied accommodation due to their dog's breed, despite understanding the park's concerns about pet safety. The reviewer expressed the opinion that the behavior of a dog is more dependent on the owner's control than the breed itself, highlighting a potential inflexibility in the park's pet policy that could affect other responsible pet owners.
Another guest shared a negative experience related to parking and customer service. Arriving late at night and finding pull-through spots unavailable, they parked temporarily at the end by the office to avoid disturbing other guests by attempting to back into a space in the dark. They made sure to park carefully without damaging any utilities and did not extend their RV's pull-out. However, the following morning, the manager, identified as Wanda, was reportedly very rude to the guest about their parking. Despite the guest's apology and explanation of the situation, the rude behavior persisted. This negative interaction led the guest to vow never to stay at the park again, citing poor customer service and a ruined morning.
These two recent reviews paint a picture of a park that may have some appealing aspects ("nicer than most") but also presents potential challenges related to inconsistent pricing information, restrictive pet policies, and issues with customer service, particularly concerning parking situations. For local users searching for "RV parks near me," these are crucial factors to consider alongside the basic amenities and location of the park.
The address of Log Cabin RV Park places it on US Highway 190 West in Jasper, Texas. This location might offer convenient access for travelers on this highway and could be situated within a reasonable distance of local attractions or services in Jasper. Jasper is located in the East Texas Piney Woods region, known for its natural beauty, including forests, lakes, and the nearby Big Thicket National Preserve. The environment surrounding the RV park could potentially be scenic, given the prevalence of log cabin-style structures in some parts of this region, which might contribute to the park's name and aesthetic.
However, the positive aspects of the location and potential scenery need to be balanced against the reported negative experiences. The lack of information about specific amenities like laundry facilities, restrooms, or recreational areas in the provided reviews makes it difficult to assess the overall value proposition of Log Cabin RV Park. Typically, RV parks offer these basic services to ensure a comfortable stay for their guests.
When considering Log Cabin RV Park as one of the "RV parks near me," it would be wise to inquire directly about their current pricing, pet policy (including any breed restrictions), parking procedures (especially for late arrivals or when pull-through spots are unavailable), and their approach to customer service. Understanding these aspects beforehand can help you avoid potential disappointments or negative experiences similar to those reported by recent guests.
The absence of positive promotional information in the provided reviews means that potential visitors must rely on the direct experiences of others. The fact that one guest, despite initially finding the park "nicer than most," was turned away due to their dog's breed, and another had a significantly negative interaction with the manager over a parking issue, suggests that there may be inconsistencies in the park's policies or customer service approach.
For local users seeking "RV parks near me" in Jasper, Texas, it is recommended to weigh the convenience of the location and any potential aesthetic appeal against the reported issues with pricing transparency, pet restrictions, and customer service. It might be beneficial to compare Log Cabin RV Park with other options in the area, if available, to ensure a more satisfactory stay.
If you are considering staying at Log Cabin RV Park, it would be prudent to call them directly at (409) 384-4900 or +1 409-384-4900 to ask specific questions related to your needs and concerns. Inquire about their current rates, their complete pet policy (including any breed or size limitations), their procedures for late check-ins and parking assignments, and their customer service protocols. Getting clear answers to these questions can help you make a more informed decision and potentially avoid the negative experiences reported by other travelers.
In conclusion, while Log Cabin RV Park is an option for those searching for "RV parks near me" in Jasper, Texas, recent customer reviews indicate potential issues with pricing discrepancies, restrictive pet policies, and poor customer service related to parking. Potential visitors should be aware of these reported experiences and are strongly encouraged to contact the park directly to clarify their policies and ensure that it meets their individual needs and expectations for a pleasant and hassle-free RV stay.

Log Cabin RV Park Reviews
I'm in the middle of this place. It's nicer than most. The website says one price but must have gone up. They didn't want to accommodate me because of my dog's breed. I get it but any dog can cause trouble if it's not under control of the owner. I'd be more afraid of a German Shepherd or Chihuahua attacking me than my dog but whatever.
Nov 03, 2023 · Julia PruettArrive early this am like 2am tired and drove to find a pull through spot but ended up having to park at end by the office . We could not back into the spot and did not want to wake the others by trying to do this so we very CAREFULLY pulled in making sure we did not damage any of the utilities. We did not even extend our pull out . All we did was plug in ! This am my husband went to pay and the manager Wanda was VERY rude to him about how he parked . My husband apologized and explained why he felt he had to park that way . She proceeded to be rude . He paid her and we left but we will NEVER stay there again!!! Customer service is not her best talent!!!! Guess she is NOT a happy camper she certainly ruined our morning!!!!!
Feb 03, 2018 · Barbara WorthyVery well kept RV park, with free laundry, really nice building with super clean showers and a place to watch TV, but I got the impression they would rather not have nightly campers. The gal that checked us in seemed very upset that we arrived a bit earlier than her 1pm arrival time. Per the sign on the front we drove round an were selecting a site, when she jumped out of her car and demanded to know what we were doing. She said you are not parking there.... follow me! She directed us to a open pull thru site right off the parking lot, I imagine so she could keep a close watch on us. My sister said she was a bit more pleasant when she went to pay.
Jul 19, 2016 · Stace EwingClean well managed RV Park. My company Jasper RV Services has serviced many customers who have parked here and they love it. Wal-Mart and other stores located just a few minutes away.
