Malta Gardens Mobile Home Park, located at 2378 US-9, Mechanicville, NY 12118, is a mobile home park situated in Saratoga County. While the primary focus of such communities is typically on manufactured housing, some may, under certain circumstances, accommodate long-term RV residents. Mechanicville, located in Saratoga County, New York, offers a small-town atmosphere with proximity to larger urban centers in the Capital Region. Residents of Malta Gardens Mobile Home Park can potentially access local amenities such as shops, restaurants, and services in Mechanicville and the surrounding areas. The location provides a suburban feel with connections to both natural landscapes and urban conveniences.
The limited online reviews for Malta Gardens Mobile Home Park paint a concerning picture, which prospective residents should carefully consider. One reviewer describes the environment as "Absolutely disgusting!!" and states it is the worst trailer park they have encountered. This individual alleges that residents do not maintain their properties, that a majority of residents are unfriendly and confrontational, and that local police are frequently present. Based on these experiences, the reviewer "seriously and HIGHLY recommend looking elsewhere for your own sake."
Another review highlights issues with management inaccessibility and poor service. This resident reports waiting approximately two months for an electrician to address a malfunctioning main breaker outside their home, which continuously trips. The reviewer states that the problem is not within their personal electrical box, indicating a need for park maintenance. The inability to reach the office when help is needed and the prolonged delay in addressing essential repairs raise significant concerns about the responsiveness and quality of management services.
Given that Malta Gardens Mobile Home Park is primarily a mobile home park, the infrastructure and services are generally designed for residents living in manufactured homes on a long-term basis. However, for individuals exploring "RV parks near me" for an extended stay, it is still useful to understand the typical characteristics of such communities, while keeping the negative reviews in mind:
Environment (as potentially described by one reviewer): The environment may suffer from a lack of property maintenance by some residents, potentially leading to an unkempt appearance. There might also be social challenges, with allegations of unfriendly and confrontational neighbors.
Services (based on one review): Essential services, such as timely maintenance of electrical infrastructure, may be lacking. Management may also be difficult to reach when assistance is required.
Features: Information regarding specific features or amenities at Malta Gardens Mobile Home Park is not available in the provided reviews. Typically, mobile home parks offer basic utility hookups (water, sewer, electricity) at each lot, but the quality and reliability of these services, as indicated by one review, could be a concern. Other potential features might include roadways within the park, and possibly common areas, but there is no information to confirm this for Malta Gardens.
Long-Term Living Potential: While designed for long-term residency in manufactured homes, the negative reviews regarding the environment and management raise serious questions about the quality of long-term living at Malta Gardens Mobile Home Park, even for those who might be considering it as an alternative to "RV parks near me."
For individuals who might still consider Malta Gardens Mobile Home Park as a long-term option for RV living, despite the negative feedback, the following questions are crucial to ask the management:
- Does Malta Gardens Mobile Home Park currently allow long-term stays in RVs? If so, what are the specific policies and restrictions?
- Are there designated RV sites available? What are the dimensions and utility hookups at these sites?
- What is the monthly lot rental fee for RVs, and what services are included?
- What is the process for addressing maintenance requests, particularly for essential utilities like electricity? What is the typical response time?
- What are the community rules and regulations? Are they strictly enforced regarding property maintenance and resident conduct?
- What security measures are in place within the park? What is the management's protocol for addressing safety concerns or alleged criminal activity?
- What are the procedures for contacting management during business hours and for after-hours emergencies?
Given the severity of the negative feedback, prospective residents should exercise extreme caution. It would be prudent to visit the park in person (if possible), speak with current residents (if feasible), and thoroughly investigate the management's responses to the issues raised in the reviews before making any decisions. The discrepancies between the park's potential as a long-term living option and the negative experiences reported by former residents highlight the critical need for thorough due diligence.
In conclusion, the limited online information regarding Malta Gardens Mobile Home Park in Mechanicville, NY, is overwhelmingly negative, citing a "disgusting environment," unfriendly residents, frequent police presence, and poor management responsiveness, particularly regarding essential maintenance. For individuals searching for "RV parks near me" or other long-term living options in the area, these reviews serve as significant red flags. While it is still recommended to contact the management directly to inquire about their policies on RVs and to get their perspective, the strong negative feedback suggests that prospective residents should proceed with extreme caution and thoroughly explore alternative options for long-term living in the Mechanicville area.

Malta Gardens Mobile Home Park Reviews
Absolutely disgusting environment!! I've been to a lot of trailer park through my job and this is by far the worse!! Nobody maintains there property, majority of the residents are unfriendly and confrontational, and local police are always over there. I seriously and HIGHLY recommend looking elsewhere for your own sake
Mar 25, 2024 · Spencer The-RealistNever in the office when need help. The main breaker outside my house needs to be replaced been waiting since for about two months now for an electrician to come take a look at it. Anything keeps tripping it it’s not my electrical box. Poor service here.
Nov 22, 2024 · Melissa SemenskePrior to moving in we had to spend two days cleaning the apartment. I submitted maintenance tickets almost a month ago for an appliance that stopped working and have yet to hear back with anything other than a confirmation that they received my complaint. The snow removal is somewhat to be desired as it took quite some time for them to plow and then even more time to complete it after a snowfall.
Mar 08, 2022 · Avery sI’ve lived here for about a year now and am adding this review because there a lot of negative opinions that don’t reflect my personal experience with Malta Pointe. Before I moved in, I read a lot of negative reviews which had the following common complaints, "can't ever get ahold of the office", "apartments were not taken care of" and "drug dealers live nearby" so I would like to clear the air on a lot of these, but also be fair about some cons. Firstly, anytime I have needed someone from the office for an issue such as a drain clog, they would deal with it pretty swiftly. Utilities have always been pretty consistent, I only lost power once due to a bad snow storm and running water once or twice because the supply is from a well and it routinely needs to be flushed. My unit was fairly clean when I moved in and about a year later, things are still solid, nothing is unfunctional. Neighbors are pretty friendly and the area is mostly quiet except for the occasional motorcyclists that will blow-by at night. In the winter, the area is cleared of snow at about 7 or 8 AM, they will also have trucks and people throughout the day routinely cleaning up more snow. Management at the office has changed a few times, but it seems like they are genuinely trying to make this area a better place, they are aware of the bad reputation and want to improve on the previous and legitimate criticisms raised by renters. If you need a place to stay in the area, it's not as bad as everyone says, It's just an average apartment complex, nothing special. I will personally be renewing my lease for another year.
Sep 21, 2020 · GAMEGUY1210Sad to hear about the conditions and problems associated with the mobile home part. Was such a nice place to live in 1968-1973. I lived on Avenue B, 1st trailer on the right. I was 12-17 at that time. Made many good friends, some of whom I am still in contact with. We had a nice rec hall, laundromat and big pond that we swam in and ice skated on. It was always kept in nice shape. Everyone was given the use of a large front deck (maybe 15X20) to use. I want to say rent was under 100 dollars if I remember correctly.
