Markham RV and Mobile Home Park Introduce
For local users searching for 'RV parks near me' in the Markham, Texas area, Markham RV and Mobile Home Park, located at 406 Farm to Market Rd 1468, presents a mixed picture based on recent customer feedback available online. This introduction aims to provide a balanced and objective overview of the park's environment, services, and features, incorporating both positive and negative experiences reported by recent visitors, to help you make an informed decision.
One detailed review highlights several significant concerns regarding the park. Specifically, it advises against renting a "Carri-lite" located at the back of the property, alleging that it has leaks that can damage belongings and were not repaired during the reviewer's stay, even through multiple storms. This suggests potential issues with the condition and maintenance of at least one of the rental units within the park.
The same reviewer also mentions issues related to pets and wildlife within the park. Their four-week-old puppy reportedly contracted hookworms from stray cats present on the property. While acknowledging that the park may not be able to control stray animals entirely, this incident raises concerns for pet owners regarding potential health risks to their animals. Additionally, the presence of free-roaming chickens and roosters is noted, with an incident where a rooster allegedly charged at a child, indicating a potential safety concern for families with young children.
Another concern raised in this review involves the park's lawn maintenance practices. The reviewer claims that the lawnmower operator was not cautious about flying rocks, which could potentially damage vehicle windows. This suggests a lack of attention to safety during groundskeeping activities.
Despite these significant drawbacks, the same reviewer points out a notable positive aspect: the laundry room is described as "amazing." This suggests that the park does offer well-maintained and functional laundry facilities for its residents and guests, which is a valuable amenity for both short-term and long-term stays.
Furthermore, this reviewer mentions that the park allows mail and package deliveries, which is a convenient service for those staying for extended periods or needing to receive shipments. This can be a significant advantage compared to parks that do not offer this service.
Finally, the reviewer offers a positive comment about one individual associated with the park, stating that "Jim is super nice!" This suggests that at least one member of the park's staff or management is friendly and helpful, which can positively impact the overall atmosphere and guest experience.
Another review provides a different perspective, noting that while the owner's wife allegedly has a "little snotty attitude," the reviewer finds the park to be a reasonably priced place that attempts to keep out "rift raft." This suggests a focus on maintaining a certain level of security and resident quality within the park. However, the negative comment about the owner's wife indicates potential issues with interpersonal interactions with at least one member of the management.
This second reviewer also cautions about falling behind on payments or leaving vehicles or travel trailers unattended for extended periods, stating that they may be locked up with storage fees incurred. This highlights the importance of adhering to the park's payment policies and communicating with management about any prolonged absence of vehicles or trailers to avoid potential penalties.
Considering these two reviews, Markham RV and Mobile Home Park presents a complex picture. On the positive side, it offers an "amazing" laundry room and allows mail/package deliveries. One staff member, Jim, is noted for being "super nice." The park is also described as reasonably priced and making an effort to maintain security. However, there are significant concerns raised about the condition of at least one rental unit (the Carri-lite), potential pet health and safety issues related to stray animals and free-roaming poultry, unsafe lawn maintenance practices, and potential negative interactions with one member of the management.
For local users searching for 'RV parks near me' in Markham, TX, Markham RV and Mobile Home Park offers a location on Farm to Market Rd 1468. The presence of a laundry facility and mail service are definite conveniences. The reported efforts to maintain security could be a plus for some. However, the serious allegations regarding the condition of rental units, animal-related concerns, unsafe groundskeeping, and potential management issues should be carefully considered.
Potential guests, especially those with pets or families with young children, should weigh the reported issues with stray animals and free-roaming poultry. Renters considering any on-site accommodations should inquire specifically about the condition and maintenance history of those units. All potential guests should also clarify the park's policies regarding payments, vehicle storage, and grounds maintenance to avoid any unexpected issues.
Due to the conflicting nature of the feedback, local users might benefit from seeking additional recent reviews or even visiting the park to assess the conditions and speak with management directly, if possible. Asking specific questions about their policies on pet control, animal safety, rental unit maintenance, groundskeeping, and payment procedures would be advisable before committing to a stay.
The available information does not provide details about the number of RV sites, the availability of full hookups, Wi-Fi access, or other common RV park amenities. Therefore, local users should inquire about these specifics directly with the park management to determine if Markham RV and Mobile Home Park meets their individual needs and preferences.
In conclusion, Markham RV and Mobile Home Park in Markham, TX, offers some potentially appealing features such as a good laundry room and mail service, and at least one friendly staff member. However, significant concerns have been raised regarding the condition of rental units, animal-related issues, unsafe lawn care, and potential management challenges. Local users considering this park should carefully weigh these pros and cons, conduct further research, and consider direct communication with the park management to ensure it aligns with their requirements and expectations for an RV or mobile home stay.

Markham RV and Mobile Home Park Reviews
dont rent out the Carri-lite in the back of the place it has leaks everywhere and will ruin your clothes & belongings and they never fixed it in the time we were in it through multiple storms. My brand new 4 week old puppy got hookworms from the stray cats( I understand they can’t do anything about that) & the chickens and roosters roam free and the rooster charged at a child. Their lawnmower also isn’t cautious about flying rocks at your windows. On the plus side, the laundry room is amazing and they allow mail/packages! Jim is super nice!

Just make sure you don't get behind and leave vehicles or travel trailer for very long or It may get lock put on it for storage fees

Feb 03, 2023 · cecile ColeWe have been at this RV park for over a year. The owner (Jim) has always made sure the property stays in great shape and he kindly makes himself available to all customers at any time. There is an onsite laundry room with 4 washers and dryers, 2 bathrooms and 1 shower. This area is well taken care of just like the rest of the property. Always clean and orderly. We have really enjoyed our stay here,we definitely recommend it and will be coming back when we are in the area again.
May 04, 2020 · Misty MatthewsFriendly and helpful staff available at all hours. The park was very clean, and the spaces are oversized with lots of trees. Bathroom and shower available in the laundry room. Highly recommend!
