Marvel Park RV Campground Introduce
For those searching for "RV parks near me" in Parsons, Kansas, Marvel Park RV Campground, located at 800 Main St, Parsons, KS 67357, USA, offers a clean and affordable option within a city park setting. While a phone number for direct contact is not provided in the available information, its location within Marvel Park suggests it may be managed by the city's parks and recreation department, which could be contacted for inquiries.
Customer reviews describe Marvel Park RV Campground as a "nice isolated campground" situated within a city park. This suggests a potentially quiet and green environment, offering a degree of separation from more commercial RV park settings. The isolation within a park could provide a more natural and peaceful atmosphere for travelers seeking a respite.
The campground offers approximately 12 spaces, each equipped with water and electric hookups. Importantly, these hookups cater to a range of power needs, providing 20, 30, and 50 amp connections, accommodating various types of recreational vehicles. The current nightly rate is noted as $10, which positions Marvel Park RV Campground as a very affordable option for RVers traveling through or visiting the Parsons area.
Cleanliness is a significant positive aspect highlighted in the reviews. The campground is described as "very clean," with trash cans conveniently scattered throughout the area, contributing to the maintenance of a tidy environment. This attention to cleanliness can greatly enhance the comfort and enjoyment of guests during their stay.
While the campground includes a small group shelter, it's noted that there are no picnic tables either within the shelter or elsewhere in the park. This might be a consideration for travelers planning to do a lot of outdoor cooking or dining at their campsite. However, the presence of a shelter could be beneficial for groups looking for a covered gathering space.
For RVs with longer rigs, the reviewer mentions that there are plenty of extra spaces available for parking, which is a practical advantage for those towing vehicles or with larger setups. However, the review also points out that there is only one long pull-through site. Pull-through sites are often preferred by RVers as they allow for easier entry and exit without the need to back up, so its limited availability might influence site selection based on RV length and driver preference.
A significant convenience for RVers staying at Marvel Park RV Campground is the presence of an RV dump station located on the north end of the football stadium within the park. Having an easily accessible dump station is crucial for maintaining proper sanitation and comfort during an RV trip, especially for longer stays or before departing the campground.
In terms of immediate dining options, there is a BBQ restaurant situated at the entrance to Marvel Park. However, its operating hours are described as "very limited," so relying on it for regular meals might not be feasible. For any other dining options or for grocery shopping and other necessities, the reviewer indicates that a drive will be required, suggesting that the campground itself is not within close walking distance to a wide array of commercial establishments.
One reviewer who stayed at Marvel Park RV Campground a few years prior described it as a "great and adorable park," indicating a positive overall impression and a pleasant experience. This positive sentiment, combined with the affordability and basic amenities like hookups and a dump station, makes it a worthwhile consideration for those seeking "RV parks near me" for an overnight stop or a short stay in Parsons, KS.
Given the information available, Marvel Park RV Campground appears to be a no-frills but functional and clean option for RVers. Its key features include affordability at $10 per night, water and electric hookups (20, 30, and 50 amp), a convenient RV dump station within the park, and a peaceful setting within a city park. The limited number of sites (around 12) suggests it might be wise to inquire about availability, possibly through the City of Parsons Parks and Recreation Department. The lack of picnic tables and the need to drive for most amenities are points to consider when planning a stay.
As no phone number or direct contact information for the campground itself is provided in the reviews, individuals interested in staying at Marvel Park RV Campground may need to contact the City of Parsons or its Parks and Recreation department for reservations or further details. Information about any potential rules, regulations, or specific check-in procedures would also need to be obtained through these channels. Similarly, any information regarding potential promotional rates for longer stays or off-season camping is currently unavailable.
In conclusion, Marvel Park RV Campground offers an appealing combination of affordability, cleanliness, and essential amenities for RV travelers in Parsons, KS. Its location within a city park provides a potentially quieter and more natural environment compared to some commercial campgrounds. While lacking some amenities like picnic tables at each site and requiring a drive to most off-site services, its water and electric hookups, RV dump station, and very reasonable nightly rate make it a practical choice, especially for overnight stays. To secure a spot and gather more specific information, contacting the City of Parsons Parks and Recreation Department would be the next step for interested individuals searching for "RV parks near me."

Marvel Park RV Campground Reviews
This is a nice isolated campground in a city park. About 12 spaces with water and electric (20, 30 & 50 amp) connections. Currently, $10 per night. It is very clean, with trash cans scattered throughout. There is a small group shelter, although there are no picnic tables in it or in the park. There are plenty of extra spaces for parking if your rig is long, but I counted only one long pull-through site. There is an RV dump station on the north end of the football stadium in the park. There is a BBQ restaurant at the entrance to the park that has very limited hours, but you will have to drive to anything else. This was a great site for an overnight stop like we were doing.
