Mayfield Lake Resort and Marina Introduce
As local users search for “RV parks near me” in the Mossyrock, Washington area, Mayfield Lake Resort and Marina, situated at 350 Hadaller Rd, Mossyrock, WA 98564, USA, and reachable at (360) 623-7171 or +1 360-623-7171, presents a unique offering with its lakefront location, marina facilities, RV camping, and motel accommodations. The resort's position on Mayfield Lake promises beautiful scenery and convenient access to water-based activities. However, recent customer reviews offer contrasting perspectives, highlighting both positive aspects, particularly regarding staff, and significant concerns about the resort's current condition and cleanliness.
One enthusiastic reviewer praised Mayfield Lake Resort and Marina as an “awesome place to keep your boats while you camp or get a motel room at the same location!” This highlights a key feature of the resort: its integrated services for boat owners who also wish to camp or stay in a motel. The convenience of having boat storage and launching facilities on-site while enjoying RV camping or comfortable lodging is a significant advantage for those looking to enjoy Mayfield Lake. The reviewer also specifically mentioned the “beautiful scenery” associated with the location, underscoring the natural appeal of the lake and its surroundings, which could be a major draw for those seeking a picturesque “RV park near me.”
Furthermore, this positive review lauded the staff, with a special mention for Stacie, who was described as “exceptional at answering any questions” and “very friendly and outgoing.” The reviewer noted Stacie’s hard work and effectiveness, stating that she “went above and beyond” for them and their family, leading to a strong intention to return. This positive feedback regarding the staff suggests that the resort employs individuals who are committed to customer service and creating a welcoming atmosphere, which can significantly enhance the guest experience at any “RV park near me.”
In stark contrast, another recent review paints a much less favorable picture of Mayfield Lake Resort and Marina. This reviewer described the park as “so run down!” and expressed the opinion that while the lake location is beautiful, the “service and cleanliness is horrible.” This is a serious concern for potential guests searching for a comfortable and well-maintained “RV park near me.” The reviewer detailed several specific issues, including blackberries overgrowing the property, overflowing garbage cans, and “rotten decks and railings,” indicating a potential lack of upkeep and maintenance that could impact the safety and enjoyment of the facilities.
Adding to these concerns, the negative review mentioned issues with water quality, noting that the “water in toliet was brown after it was flushed,” leading them to avoid drinking the water entirely. Such issues with basic utilities are significant and would understandably deter potential visitors to any “RV park near me.” The reviewer concluded by stating that “the list goes on and on” regarding the problems they encountered, labeling the situation as “unbelievable.” This strong negative feedback suggests that potential guests should exercise caution and seek current information about the resort’s condition before making a reservation.
Considering these two very different perspectives, it is crucial for local users searching for “RV parks near me” to weigh the potential benefits of Mayfield Lake Resort and Marina—such as its lakefront location, marina facilities, and potentially friendly staff—against the serious concerns raised about the resort’s maintenance, cleanliness, and infrastructure. The beautiful scenery and the convenience for boaters are significant positives, but the alleged state of disrepair and poor service are major drawbacks that need to be carefully considered.
As an RV park with a marina, Mayfield Lake Resort and Marina likely offers a range of services and features typical of such establishments, which could be attractive to those looking for “RV parks near me” with specific amenities:
- **RV sites with hookups:** These would typically include water, electricity, and possibly sewer connections to accommodate RV travelers. The size and layout of these sites can vary.
- **Boat storage and launching facilities:** The presence of a marina suggests options for storing boats (on trailers or in slips) and a way to launch them onto Mayfield Lake.
- **Motel rooms:** On-site motel accommodations provide an alternative to RV camping for those traveling without an RV or for guests visiting RVers.
- **Restroom and shower facilities:** Essential for RV campers, especially those without full hookups. The cleanliness of these facilities is a point of concern based on the negative review.
- **Potable water access:** While the quality of the water was questioned in one review, access to potable water is a standard expectation at any RV park.
- **Waste disposal:** Garbage cans and potentially recycling facilities should be available throughout the park. The issue of overflowing garbage cans suggests a problem with the management of waste.
- **Lake access and potential recreational activities:** Being on Mayfield Lake, the resort likely offers opportunities for boating, fishing, and other water-based activities.
Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the reviews. However, based on its features, Mayfield Lake Resort and Marina might promote itself to local users searching for “RV parks near me” by highlighting:
- **Its unique combination of RV camping, motel rooms, and marina services on Mayfield Lake.**
- **The beautiful scenic location, ideal for nature lovers and water sports enthusiasts.**
- **The friendly and helpful staff, as mentioned in the positive review.**
- **The convenience for boat owners to store and use their boats while staying at the resort.**
However, it is crucial for the resort to address the serious concerns raised in the negative review regarding its maintenance, cleanliness, and infrastructure to maintain a positive reputation and attract more visitors. Potential promotional efforts might need to assure prospective guests that these issues are being actively resolved.
For local users considering Mayfield Lake Resort and Marina as one of their options when searching for “RV parks near me,” a balanced approach is necessary. The positive feedback regarding the staff and the allure of the lakefront location with marina services are attractive. However, the significant concerns about the resort being “run down,” with issues related to cleanliness, maintenance, and water quality, cannot be ignored. It would be wise for potential guests to seek more recent reviews or even contact the resort directly to inquire about the current conditions and any steps being taken to address the issues raised. Visiting the resort in person, if feasible, could also provide a clearer picture of its present state.
In conclusion, Mayfield Lake Resort and Marina offers a potentially appealing experience due to its location on Mayfield Lake and its combination of RV camping, motel accommodations, and marina facilities. The friendly staff, as noted by one reviewer, can also contribute positively to a stay. However, serious concerns about the resort’s maintenance, cleanliness, and infrastructure, as highlighted in another review, warrant careful consideration. Local users searching for “RV parks near me” should weigh these contrasting perspectives and seek up-to-date information before making a decision about staying at Mayfield Lake Resort and Marina.

Mayfield Lake Resort and Marina Reviews
Awesome place to keep your boats while you camp or get a motel room at the same location! Beautiful scenery and friendly staff. Stacie was exceptional at answering any questions I had and very friendly and outgoing! While I was there I could tell she was a very hard worker and she was very good at what she did. She went above and beyond for me and my family and I’ll definitely be back!
Apr 18, 2025 · Celsey RoseThis park is so run down! With the right ownership and many $$$$ in repairs and upgrades it could be an amazing resort. The location on the lake is beautiful but service and cleanliness is horrible. Blackberries are taking over. Overflowing garbage cans. Rotten decks and railings. The water in toliet was brown after it was flushed. We did NOT drink the water. The list goes on and on. Unbelievable.
Aug 20, 2024 · debbie hubbardCamp sites are a parking lot, did not see any rooms inside, but outside not impressive, no fuel available, docks are run down, camp sites too expensive for a parking lot. Expect a little store to be higher prices, but store not being open during posted times disappointing. I've come here many times over the years and this new company is a serious downgrade from the prior owners. Very disappointed.
Sep 10, 2024 · Julie SturdivantWe got a campsite on the island. Called ahead to ask if it was right on the water and if it was a short enough walk because we had to carry our camping equipment. They said it was right on the water and that the walk is very short.Turns out there is no water access at all on the island. The view is blocked by trees and rope. The walk isn't short. They gave carts for you to carry your stuff. But the walk is narrow and goes up and down with quite a hike onto the island because it's elevated. There's no water at all (drinking or otherwise) on the island. Bring water with you.The store doesn't carry much stuff. If you come in at 5:31 PM they won't serve you because they close at 5:30.The bathroom requires quarters because it's the 1990s. You can get quarters at the stores IF there's someone there (which sometimes there isn't even mid day on the weekend). The toilet had a leak. The water in them is brown. One toilet didn't have toilet paper and they didn't refill it.Also, watch your step as you walk, one of us got hurt from a rod that poked out of the ground pretty randomly. We normally don't review campsites, hotels, etc. But this was so bad.Avoid if you're tenting or need to use the amenities
Jun 30, 2024 · Drew GorelliThis place needs some updating. The public bathrooms are horrible. For the size of the facility and all the campers it’s inadequate. The tent sites are very tiny and there is limited access to many so be careful booking one. The store is incredibly overpriced. I stayed in the cabins. Mine was not clean. The floors were dirty. The cabins are way overpriced. The RV sites for hook up are so small, they squeeze to many people in. The docks are rotting. If you have kids there is a few play areas. I won’t recommend or return here.
