River Oaks RV Park-Campground Introduce
For those searching for "RV parks near me" in the Toledo, Washington area, River Oaks RV Park-Campground, located at 491 WA-506, Toledo, WA 98591, USA, presents a location with convenient access to transportation and nearby amenities. However, based on recent customer reviews, it is essential for prospective visitors to consider a range of experiences reported by current and former residents before making a decision. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of the RV park, incorporating details about its environment, reported services and features, and the contrasting feedback received from online reviews.
The environment surrounding River Oaks RV Park-Campground offers certain conveniences. One long-term resident, who has lived there since September 2024, highlights the "easy off and on to the freeway just minutes away," which can be a significant advantage for travelers or those needing to commute. The proximity to a "well known truck stop and restaurant close by" is also noted as a benefit, providing easy access to fuel, food, and potentially other travel-related services. Additionally, the availability of "a couple of options for gas and food are all close" further underscores the convenient location of the RV park in relation to essential amenities. While these reviews focus on the accessibility of the location, they do not provide extensive details about the physical environment within the park itself, such as the landscaping, the size and spacing of campsites, or the presence of natural features.
Information regarding the services and features of River Oaks RV Park-Campground presents a mixed picture based on the customer reviews. The positive review mentions friendly and respectful management and groundskeeper, suggesting a positive interaction with the staff for at least one resident. This indicates a potential for a welcoming and helpful on-site team. However, a contrasting review details significant issues encountered upon arrival and during the stay. This reviewer reported that their septic hookup was buried and was not dug out by the staff as promised, requiring the resident to do it themselves. Additionally, the reviewer mentioned the need to level the ground around their trailer due to constant flooding, implying potential issues with site drainage and maintenance. The same review also raises a serious concern about being placed next to a neighbor described as a "drug dealing junky" who frequently disturbed their children, suggesting a lack of adequate consideration for resident safety and well-being in site assignments. Furthermore, this reviewer states that "the water here isn’t drinkable," which is a critical issue for any RV park and raises serious questions about the park's utility infrastructure and safety standards. The reviewer also characterized the staff as "not professional nor respectful," directly contradicting the positive experience reported by the other resident.
Features of River Oaks RV Park-Campground are not explicitly detailed in the provided reviews beyond the mention of septic hookups (albeit problematic for one reviewer). Typically, RV parks offer a range of amenities such as electrical hookups, water hookups (which are reportedly absent or unusable here), and sewer hookups. The negative review's mention of a buried septic hookup suggests that sewer connections are available at some sites, but their condition and accessibility may vary. The absence of any mention of other common RV park features like laundry facilities, restrooms, showers, Wi-Fi, or recreational areas (such as playgrounds or communal spaces) suggests that these might be limited or non-existent at River Oaks RV Park-Campground. The focus of the reviews is primarily on the management, site conditions, and the immediate surroundings of the park rather than on extensive on-site amenities.
Considering the platform category "RV parks near me," River Oaks RV Park-Campground's location with easy freeway access and proximity to a truck stop and other amenities could be seen as advantageous for travelers. However, the significant concerns raised in one of the reviews regarding buried utilities, site flooding, disruptive neighbors, undrinkable water, and unprofessional staff cannot be ignored. These issues directly impact the quality of the RV living experience and should be carefully considered by anyone looking for "RV parks near me" in the Toledo area. The stark contrast between the two reviews highlights the potential for varied experiences at this park, possibly depending on the specific site assigned or changes in management or conditions over time.
Promotional information for River Oaks RV Park-Campground is not explicitly provided in the given reviews. Individuals interested in learning about any potential discounts, special rates, or long-term stay options should contact the park directly using the provided phone number, (360) 864-2895 or +1 360-864-2895. Given the serious concerns raised in one of the reviews about the habitability and safety of the park, it would be prudent for prospective visitors to inquire specifically about the water quality, site maintenance procedures (including drainage and utility hookups), and the park's policies on ensuring a safe and respectful environment for all residents. Asking about the age and condition of the park's infrastructure and any recent improvements or issues reported by other guests might also be beneficial in making an informed decision.
In conclusion, River Oaks RV Park-Campground in Toledo, Washington, offers a convenient location with easy access to the freeway and nearby amenities like a truck stop, restaurants, and gas stations. However, the customer reviews present a sharply divided perspective on the park. While one long-term resident reports friendly management and a positive experience, another details significant problems including buried utilities, site flooding, disruptive neighbors, undrinkable water, and unprofessional staff. These serious concerns warrant careful consideration and thorough investigation by anyone considering a stay at this RV park. Prospective visitors should contact the management directly to seek clarification on the issues raised in the negative review and to inquire about the current conditions and policies of the park. The stark contrast in experiences suggests that the quality of stay at River Oaks RV Park-Campground may vary significantly, making due diligence essential for those searching for "RV parks near me" in the Toledo, WA area.

River Oaks RV Park-Campground Reviews
I have lived here since September 2024 and so far I am very happy that I chose this park to move too! The management and grounds keeper are friendly and respectful. Easy off and on to the freeway just minutes away plus a well known truck stop and restaurant close by. Also a couple of options for gas and food are all close (:
Jan 22, 2025 · Kathy ChallenderShowed up the first night we moved our trailer here and the septic hook up was buried. They said they’d dig it out, but never did. I had to dig it out on my own and level the ground around my trailer cause it’s constantly flooded. Also I told them I had two kids and they still put me next to a drug dealing junky who always kept waking my kids up. The water here isn’t drinkable and the staff are not professional nor respectful. Do not recommend what so ever.
