Whether you are passing through for a night or planning an extended stay, MCLB Albany RV Park provides a comfortable and convenient option for RV travelers.
Situated at 9102-9100 Reisinger Cir, Albany, GA 31705, USA, MCLB Albany RV Park is easily accessible while being located on the quieter end of the fairly large Marine base. This location provides a sense of tranquility and security that many RV travelers appreciate. Contact can be made at (229) 639-5221 or +1 229-639-5221 for inquiries and reservations, although one reviewer noted that multiple calls might be necessary to get through, indicating potential high demand or limited staffing at certain times.
Environment and Setting:
MCLB Albany RV Park is described by visitors as a "very nice" campground with a significant amount of space available at each site. This is a notable advantage, as it allows for comfortable setup and provides a greater sense of privacy compared to more tightly packed RV parks. While the park does have some full-time residents, reviewers consistently mention that they are "very nice," contributing to a welcoming and friendly community atmosphere within the park.
One reviewer noted the presence of gnats as a significant nuisance, stating they are "horrible here." However, they also rightly pointed out that this is not the fault of the base or the RV park management, suggesting it is a localized environmental issue. Despite this natural challenge, the overall positive experiences of other visitors indicate that the benefits of staying at MCLB Albany RV Park outweigh this temporary discomfort for many.
The park is also characterized as "kinda small," with one reviewer estimating around 22 spots. Despite its size, the layout is praised for offering "plenty of room to maneuver your rig," which is crucial for RV owners of all sizes. Furthermore, the spacing between sites is such that you are not "real close to your neighbors," enhancing the feeling of spaciousness and privacy.
Services and Amenities:
One of the standout features of MCLB Albany RV Park, as highlighted by reviewers, is the "NICE LAUNDRY AND SHOWER area." Clean and well-maintained facilities are essential for RV travelers, especially those on longer journeys, and this positive feedback indicates that the park excels in providing these necessities.
Adding a unique touch, the same building housing the laundry and shower facilities also contains "a small but neat museum." This unexpected amenity offers a glimpse into the history or activities of the Marine base and provides an interesting diversion for guests.
Being located on a Marine Corps Logistics Base also offers potential access to certain base amenities. One reviewer specifically mentioned the availability of a "commissary and MPX bldg to go to as well." These facilities can be a significant convenience for RVers, allowing them to purchase groceries and other goods without having to travel far off-site.
Security and Peace of Mind:
A significant advantage of staying at MCLB Albany RV Park is the sense of security that comes with being located on a military base. One reviewer explicitly described it as "A NICE, QUITE AND SAFE PLACE TO GO." This assurance of safety can be a major draw for travelers, providing peace of mind during their stay.
The quiet environment further enhances the appeal of the park, offering a restful atmosphere away from the noise of typical commercial campgrounds or busy roads.
Pricing and Value:
MCLB Albany RV Park is highly praised for its affordability. One reviewer explicitly stated, "Prices are low- 30/night, 125/week, 400/month. Can't beat those prices!" These rates represent excellent value, especially considering the spacious sites and the availability of clean facilities. The low monthly rate makes it an attractive option for those seeking longer-term RV parking in the Albany area.
Important Considerations:
While the overall feedback for MCLB Albany RV Park is positive, there are a couple of points to note. One reviewer mentioned the inconvenience of not being able to receive mail directly at their site, necessitating the rental of a PO box for longer stays. This is a factor to consider for those planning to stay for an extended period and needing mail services.
Additionally, the check-in process involves going to a separate building, which also houses a NAVY FED. This building is located away from the RV park itself, on "one end of the fairly large Marine base." While the check-in staff is described as "very helpful," it is important to be aware of this separate location upon arrival. As mentioned earlier, patience may be required when contacting the park by phone.
Promotional Information:
For RV travelers searching for "rv parks near me" that offer a combination of affordability, spacious sites, clean facilities, and a secure environment, MCLB Albany RV Park is an excellent choice. The remarkably low rates, coupled with the peace of mind of staying on a military base, make it a standout option in the Albany, Georgia area. The availability of laundry and shower facilities, and the unique addition of a small museum, further enhance its appeal. Long-term visitors can take advantage of the very competitive monthly rate.
While the issue with gnats and the need for a PO box for mail are worth noting, the overwhelming positive feedback regarding the park's cleanliness, spaciousness, quiet atmosphere, and friendly community suggests a very comfortable and worthwhile stay. The potential access to base amenities like the commissary and MPX adds further value and convenience.

MCLB Albany RV Park Reviews
Very nice campground with alot of space on your site. There are some full-timers, but, they are very nice. Would give 5 stars, but, can't get mail on post, have to rent a PO box since we'll be here for 6 weeks. Only bad thing is the gnats, they're horrible here, but, not the bases fault. I would definitely come back.
May 22, 2020 · Gina VerninoKinda small RV park, but plenty of room to maneuver your rig, and spaces are not real close to your neighbors. I think theresy22 spots. Prices are low- 30/night, 125/week, 400/month. Can't beat those prices! NICE LAUNDRY AND SHOWER area, and a small but neat museum in the same building. The rvcamp is way on one end of the fairly large Marine base, and the check-in bldg is separate from the park (in a bldg with NAVY FED)... A NICE, QUITE AND SAFE PLACE TO GO, GOR DURE. Yes, there's a commissary and MPX bldg to go to as well... 👍👍Check-in staff was very helpful, but you may need to call multiple times to get thru.
Oct 26, 2023 · peter pinkhamNice RV park. Cell coverage is usable for both Sprint and Verizon. Couple of shady spots but it rained all day when I was there so I didn't get to see the sun pattern. Good sidewalks and the roads are not busy if you like to walk.
Jul 06, 2020 · Les TaylorIt's a great place, clean, quiet and we'll maintained. I only wish they had the free WiFi in the RV Park as they use to have. I burn up a lot of data and am not able to work on my laptop there.
Nov 20, 2019 · Ken RichieNever felt safer than sleeping while surrounded by Marines! Full hookups, neat and clean. Great spacing between neighbors.
