Meadow Lane RV Park Introduce
This introduction aims to provide local users with an objective overview of Meadow Lane RV Park, situated at 16201 Summit Dr in Austin, Texas (78728), within the context of "RV parks near me." Based on the limited information available from recent customer reviews, it appears that Meadow Lane RV Park is a campground that is currently under development or in the process of having all advertised amenities fully operational. Prospective visitors should be aware of this developmental stage, as experiences may vary from expectations set by online profiles or future plans for the park.
Meadow Lane RV Park's location on Summit Drive in North Austin places it within a specific area of the city. One reviewer noted encountering a "rough neighborhood" upon arrival, which caused them initial concern. This is an important piece of feedback for potential guests to consider when evaluating the location and surrounding area of the RV park. While this was just one individual's perception during their approach to the park, it highlights the importance of considering the broader environment beyond the campground itself.
Environment and Grounds:
One positive aspect mentioned by a reviewer who stayed over the winter is that the park was "pristinely clean." This suggests that the management places a high priority on maintaining a clean environment within the campground itself. However, the first reviewer's comment about the surrounding neighborhood being rough presents a contrasting view of the overall environment that guests might experience upon arrival and departure.
The first review also indicates that the campground was not yet fully developed at the time of their visit in March. They specifically mentioned the absence of a swimming pool, despite it being listed as an amenity in the park's profile they had read. This suggests that potential guests should verify the availability of specific amenities before booking, as they may still be under construction or not yet operational.
The second reviewer, who stayed during the winter, did not comment on the overall aesthetics or layout of the park in detail, but their positive experience suggests that the basic infrastructure and cleanliness were satisfactory for their stay, even with some amenities not yet set up.
Services and Features:
The information regarding services and features at Meadow Lane RV Park is somewhat mixed and indicates a park in transition. The first reviewer's expectation of "great amenities" based on the park's profile was not met, specifically noting the lack of a swimming pool. This discrepancy between advertising and reality led to their disappointment, especially considering the price they paid, which they felt was high compared to other campgrounds with better facilities.
On a more positive note, the winter guest specifically praised the "dog park," indicating that this pet-friendly amenity was available and appreciated. This suggests that Meadow Lane RV Park caters to travelers with pets. The same reviewer also commended the "camp hosts" as being "the kindest and most helpful hosts we’ve had." This highlights a potentially significant strength of the park – the quality of its staff and the service they provide to guests. The reviewer also acknowledged that "all the amenities weren’t set up yet" during their winter stay but still expressed overall satisfaction with their experience.
The mention of "quick access to the freeways" by the winter guest suggests that Meadow Lane RV Park offers a convenient location for travelers looking for easy on and off access to major transportation routes in Austin. This could be a significant advantage for those touring the area or needing to travel around the city.
Promotional Information:
The first reviewer's comments imply that the park's online profile at the time of their booking in March advertised amenities such as a swimming pool and other "great" features. However, they experienced a lack of these amenities upon arrival. This situation led them to believe it was "false advertising," especially given the price they were charged. They suggested that the park's pricing was not justified by the current state of its facilities and the surrounding neighborhood.
The second review does not mention any specific promotional offers but focuses on the positive aspects of cleanliness, freeway access, the dog park, and the helpfulness of the camp hosts, even with some amenities still pending.
Given the discrepancy highlighted in the first review, potential guests should be cautious about relying solely on online profiles and are strongly advised to contact Meadow Lane RV Park directly at (512) 887-8901 or +1 512-887-8901 to get the most current information about available amenities, their operational status, and the current pricing structure. It would be prudent to inquire specifically about the swimming pool and any other amenities that are important to their stay.
Conclusion and Recommendation:
Meadow Lane RV Park in Austin, TX, appears to be a campground that is either newly established or still in the process of completing its facilities. While one recent guest praised its cleanliness, convenient freeway access, dog park, and the helpfulness of the camp hosts, another visitor expressed significant disappointment due to the absence of advertised amenities (specifically a swimming pool) and concerns about the surrounding neighborhood, especially in relation to the price charged.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Austin, Meadow Lane RV Park presents a mixed picture based on the available reviews. The positive feedback regarding cleanliness and staff is encouraging. The presence of a dog park is a notable feature for pet owners. Additionally, its quick access to freeways could be a significant benefit for those needing to navigate the Austin area.
However, the negative feedback regarding the lack of advertised amenities and the perceived roughness of the neighborhood are serious considerations. The accusation of "false advertising" by one guest should not be taken lightly, and potential visitors should exercise due diligence to ensure that the park currently offers the amenities that are important to them and that the location meets their comfort and safety expectations.
Until Meadow Lane RV Park is fully completed and all advertised amenities are operational, and until there is more consistent positive feedback regarding the overall experience and location, prospective guests should proceed with caution. It is highly recommended to contact the park directly using the provided phone numbers – (512) 887-8901 or +1 512-887-8901 – to inquire about the current status of amenities, pricing, and to address any concerns about the neighborhood. Asking for recent updates and perhaps seeking more recent reviews from other travelers might also be beneficial in making an informed decision about whether Meadow Lane RV Park is the right choice for their stay in Austin.

Meadow Lane RV Park Reviews
My husband and I took a month long tour through Texas in March. We decided to stay at a NICE campground with a swimming pool and other GREAT amenities that we read in your profile. Driving in we encountered a rough neighborhood and almost turned around. I took pictures to prove this. We decided to continue due to being tired and needing to stop. Wow- wait a minute, NO SWIMING POOL. FORGET the amenities. What a disappointment. When going to our other campsites we ended up with half the price you charged and beautiful sites. When your campsite is DONE it is going to be a great place to stay minus the neighborhood by the gate. Until then you should not be charging your huge price. I consider this FALSE advertising and thinking about posting my pictures! Please feel free to contact my husband or I.
Mar 24, 2025 · eva maueStayed over the winter. Pristinely clean and quick access to the freeways. Loved the dog park. The camp hosts were the kindest and most helpful hosts we’ve had. All the amenities weren’t set up yet but still loved our stay
May 04, 2025 · Matt TurnerEveryone staying here is full time. We came just for one night. We pulled in at 6:00pm. Gate closed. They don’t answer there number. Our paid email confirmation had no gate code. And it was expensive, we paid $88!Fortunately a nice guy staying there gave us the code. We knew our site number but 1/2 the sites don’t have numbers and where visible unless you get out and walk up to the post. There’s no posted site map anywhere online. Also this is a very very low income area and as a single mom with kids I felt very unsafe here.Unless you’re desperate. Find another spot!Only positive is the concrete and turning radius were well done. They also had nice landscaping. They need to fire whoever is running the place.
Apr 05, 2025 · Rashel HarrisBeware!!! The website advertises that they have a bath house, laundry facilities, and a swimming pool. THIS IS NOT TRUE!!! It is shameful that they charge such a high rate and don’t even deliver basic services. Shame on them! The concrete pads are nice. The facility is gated and secure. My issue is the false advertising and usurious price gauging for amenities that DONT EXIST!!!
Apr 04, 2025 · Nancy TruesdaleThe park is a family friendly park with level concrete wide pads throughout. No more dealing with gravel or dirt being tracked into your rig. There are pull through pads as well. It has a great dog park with an obstacle course for your pet to exercise. I have seen dogs of all sizes utilizing the park. There is a large playground for the kids to play. The park is quiet and secure with a keypad front gate (code required, but remotes available upon request and deposit). There is a portable bathhouse/showers currently available. The park is clean and each slot has grass and trees planted. The location is perfect (North Austin) for all your Austin, Round Rock, Cedar Park, Georgetown or Hutto events.
