Old Settlers RV Park Introduce
For local users searching within the platform category of "RV parks near me" in the Round Rock, Texas area, Old Settlers RV Park, located at 300 Harrell Pkwy, Round Rock, TX 78665, USA, is a listing that may appear. They can be contacted by phone at (512) 388-1733 or via mobile at +1 512-388-1733. However, it is critical for potential visitors to be aware of recent customer feedback regarding this park, as the reviews paint a concerning picture regarding communication, park conditions, and availability.
One reviewer recounts their experience attempting to make reservations for the Frontiers Day celebration at the nearby Old Settlers Town Park. They report leaving three messages with the RV park and never receiving a return call. This lack of responsiveness raises significant concerns about the park's communication and customer service. The reviewer ultimately found alternative accommodation in Georgetown and, out of curiosity, drove through Old Settlers RV Park upon arrival. Their observations of the park's condition were highly negative, describing it as "nasty, with junk all over the place and broken down trailers." Such conditions would likely be unacceptable to most RV travelers seeking a clean and well-maintained place to stay.
Adding to these concerns, the reviewer mentions that the park's website allegedly states that no one is supposed to be living there permanently. However, their personal observation contradicted this, as they noted it was "obvious there is." The presence of long-term residents in a park that claims to be otherwise could indicate a discrepancy in the park's management practices or its stated policies. This discrepancy, coupled with the poor physical condition observed, led the reviewer to express relief that they had not stayed there and to strongly advise others to "steer clear."
Another reviewer echoes the difficulty in contacting the park. They report making numerous calls and leaving two voice messages without receiving any response. This further reinforces the issue of poor communication and lack of customer service. When this reviewer finally managed to speak with someone at the listed number, they inquired about the fee for an overnight stay but were informed that there was no availability and that the park had been full since October. This suggests a potential issue with managing reservations or providing accurate information regarding availability.
The explanation given by the park representative for the lack of availability was that a company had paid for all the sites for their employees. While it is understandable that a park might accommodate corporate clients requiring long-term stays, the reviewer expresses frustration at the difficulty in even getting through to inquire and the lack of transparency regarding this arrangement. The reviewer concludes by advising others not to waste their time on this RV park, further highlighting the negative experience they had encountered.
Based on these two recent customer reviews, there are significant red flags for potential visitors considering Old Settlers RV Park. The issues raised include a lack of responsiveness to phone calls, allegedly poor and unclean park conditions with junk and broken-down trailers, a potential discrepancy between the park's stated policy on long-term residents and the reality observed, and a lack of availability for overnight stays, possibly due to a block booking by a company. These are serious concerns that any local user searching for "RV parks near me" in Round Rock should take into account.
Given the overwhelmingly negative recent feedback, it is challenging to objectively describe a positive environment, services, or features for Old Settlers RV Park based solely on this information. The descriptions provided by the reviewers indicate a potentially undesirable environment characterized by disrepair and untidiness. The lack of communication suggests unreliable customer service, which is a critical aspect of any hospitality business, including RV parks.
It is possible that there are other aspects of Old Settlers RV Park that are not reflected in these two negative reviews. However, the issues raised are significant enough to warrant extreme caution for anyone considering a stay. Potential services that one might typically expect from an RV park, such as well-maintained utility hookups (electricity, water, sewage), clean restrooms and showers, laundry facilities, and possibly Wi-Fi, are not mentioned in the reviews. The focus is instead on the lack of response and the poor physical condition of the park.
Similarly, no information regarding specific features of the RV sites (e.g., size, pull-through/back-in, surface type) or any promotional offers is available. The lack of a functioning reservation system (as suggested by the failure to return calls) further complicates any potential stay.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Round Rock, TX, the objective assessment based on the most recent online feedback is that Old Settlers RV Park appears to be a problematic choice. The reported lack of communication, the described poor condition of the park, and the apparent lack of availability for short-term stays are all serious deterrents. Potential visitors would be well-advised to consider alternative RV parks in the Georgetown or Round Rock areas that have more positive recent reviews regarding communication, cleanliness, and overall quality.
It is always possible that conditions or management practices at an RV park can change over time. However, the consistency of the negative feedback in these two recent reviews should give potential visitors significant pause. It would be prudent to seek out more current reviews from other sources, if available, or to directly contact the park to inquire about the issues raised and to get a firsthand account of the current situation. However, based on the information at hand, proceeding with a booking at Old Settlers RV Park would carry a considerable risk of a negative experience.
In conclusion, while Old Settlers RV Park is located in Round Rock, TX, and is listed as an option for those searching "RV parks near me," the recent customer reviews provide strong reasons for caution. The reported lack of communication, the described "nasty" conditions with "junk all over the place and broken down trailers," and the apparent unavailability for short-term stays due to a long-term corporate booking all suggest that this park may not meet the expectations of most RV travelers. Local users are strongly advised to thoroughly investigate current conditions and consider alternative RV parks in the vicinity before making any decisions regarding Old Settlers RV Park.

Old Settlers RV Park Reviews
Tried to get reservations here for the Frontiers Day celebration @ the Old Settlers town park down the road. Left 3 messages & no one ever called me back. Found a nice place to stay @ in Georgetown instead. We drove through this park out of curiosity when we got there. The place is nasty, with junk all over the place and broken down trailers. Their website says no one is supposed to be living here, but it's obvious there is. Needless to say I'm glad we didn't stay there & no one returned our calls. Steer clear.
Jul 25, 2023 · Renee KHAfter numerous calls and having left 2 voice messages with no return calls I finally got to speak to a lady at the listed number. I asked about the fee for an overnight stay and was told there was no availability and they have been full since October. I asked if people live there and she said no, they have a company that has paid for all the sites for their employees. My suggestion is don’t waste your time on this RV park
Mar 19, 2024 · maylynn whitlockConvenient to lots of things to do and see. Well maintained with friendly staff. Walking trails and great playground just across the street. Do not take reservations so it's not always easy to get the spot you want. However, manager is often able to find a place you can dry camp till something becomes available. Reasonably priced. Try to stay here every time we go through.
Jul 29, 2017 · Ellen BradleyThe RV park is nothing special (just a gravel lot), but the location is great and it's a third of the price of any place around. However, they do not enforce the 4 week stay limit, so there are people pretty much living there or worse, just using it was storage. It makes it near impossible to get a spot, even if you come check every morning (like I did for a week). I wish they would do something about this as I'd loved to have stayed here while in Austin.
Nov 04, 2021 · Doug GrossNo amenities at all. The slots are very close together and you don't have a picnic table, fire pit or even grass. The good thing is that there is a hike and bike trail across the road with a couple of play scapes if you have kids, and, soccer fields plus batting cages. And, lots of places to eat.Another good (and could be bad) thing is Dell Diamond is also across the road. They have AAA baseball games. The bad part is that they also have concerts, like Snoop Dog, there. He was loud and naughty words that you could hear plain as day until about 1 am.This park is pricey $600/month for 30 amp and $700/month for 50 amp. No reservations are accepted, so you just pull in and hope for the best.We chose this park because we live full-time in our rv and travel for work. Our down-time is winter and this park is close to our kids and friends. So, convenience over practicality or scenery.
