H&H Mobile Home Park Introduce
H&H Mobile Home Park, located at 1-39 Kendall St in Georgetown, TX 78626, USA, presents itself as a long-term, pet-friendly community with a distinct character, according to a long-time resident's detailed account. While primarily a mobile home park, individuals searching within the "RV parks near me" category in Georgetown may find it beneficial to understand the environment and community aspects of H&H Mobile Home Park, as some mobile home parks occasionally accommodate RVs. However, direct inquiry regarding RV policies and availability is strongly recommended.
The environment of H&H Mobile Home Park is described as a place where many residents have lived for numerous years, with children growing up within the community. This suggests a stable and established neighborhood feel. The park is notably pet-friendly, allowing pets of all kinds and quantities, appealing to "crazy dog and cat lovers." There is ample outdoor space near the post office side of the trailers, where children can play ball or engage in other outdoor games. While there was a significant stray animal population in the past, efforts have been made to capture them, resulting in a smaller number of stray cats and occasional loose dogs that are characterized as being more bark than bite.
In terms of services and features, H&H Mobile Home Park offers some unique characteristics. Additional parking is permitted, leading to streets often covered in cars. While this abundance of parking is convenient for residents with multiple vehicles or guests, it can also make it difficult to discern activities within the park. School bus service is available near the post office side, catering to families with school-aged children. The resident's account also touches on infrastructure and maintenance, noting occasional power outages and advising residents to protect their outdoor water connections during very cold weather due to potential freezing. Some trailers are described as "fixer-uppers," which may correlate with a mention of "super cheap rent," suggesting affordability as a potential benefit.
The sense of community at H&H Mobile Home Park appears to be somewhat nuanced. While the park has long-term residents and a history of families growing up there, the reviewer notes that "most of the neighbors hear are like strangers," tending to keep to themselves. This lack of strong neighborly interaction might be a consideration for those seeking a more socially integrated RV park experience. The reviewer also advises against planning garage sales or trick-or-treating, as the park is not a "hot spot for attracting many people," possibly due to the high volume of parked cars making it difficult to notice such events.
The physical characteristics of the trailers themselves vary, with some having two master bedrooms and others featuring an open-plan kitchen and living room. However, they are reportedly not soundproof, making it easy to hear conversations inside and outside nearby trailers. Sunlight penetration into the trailers is described as limited, with a prevalence of "awful like yellow lighting" inside. There are also mentions of two to three abandoned-looking trailers, although they are reportedly owned by individuals who rarely visit.
Safety-wise, the reviewer states that there is "no crime" within the park. However, noise from passing airplanes and cars that sound like school buses is noted as a frequent occurrence. The park's location offers significant advantages in terms of proximity to essential amenities. Just outside the neighborhood, residents have easy access to a post office, hospital, caring place (thrift store), and a retirement home. This central location makes it convenient for biking, pet walking, jogging, and accessing services. Additionally, there are two to three parks located very close by, even closer than the Family Dollar store, and numerous other neighborhoods in the vicinity.
The area is described as being relatively free from major natural disasters, with no floods, hurricanes, or large hail. While tiny hail and occasionally powerful thunderstorms occur, they are generally not harmful. The reviewer offers advice to new residents, suggesting that they might find useful items among the "old stuff just rothing in their shed or bakyard" of long-term residents, encouraging them to ask if they can take anything. They also advise using curtains to create privacy in trailers with open layouts and urge residents to avoid littering and to clean up after themselves and their children. The mail delivery is noted to be sometimes late, and residents may need to collect their mail manually if too many cars are near the mailbox. Cockroaches are mentioned as a persistent pest.
Finally, one review notes that the street within the park is very easy to miss at night due to poor lighting and lack of clear marking. For individuals considering H&H Mobile Home Park as one of the "RV parks near me," this detailed account provides a comprehensive, albeit subjective, view of the community's environment, features, and resident experiences. Given that it is primarily a mobile home park, direct contact is essential to ascertain if RVs are permitted, the terms of stay, available amenities for RVs, and to address any concerns arising from these reviews. There is no promotional information provided, so direct inquiry about rates and availability is necessary by calling the listed address as a phone number was not provided.
