DEER VALLEY RV PARK Introduce
If you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Phoenix, Arizona area, DEER VALLEY RV PARK, located at 2550 W Louise Dr, Phoenix, AZ 85027, USA, offers a range of features and a convenient location for exploring the valley. You can contact them at (623) 581-3969 or via mobile at +1 623-581-3969 for inquiries and reservations.
Based on customer feedback, DEER VALLEY RV PARK presents a somewhat mixed experience. On the positive side, guests have appreciated the "nice and large" pull-through sites, which can comfortably accommodate larger RVs. The park's location is also frequently cited as a significant advantage, offering proximity to "everything in the valley," with most attractions being within a 30-minute drive. This accessibility makes it a convenient base for exploring Phoenix and its surrounding areas.
The overall upkeep of the park grounds is generally well-regarded, with one reviewer noting that they were "well kept." Additionally, the staff is consistently described as "very friendly," contributing to a positive interaction for guests. The laundry room is also mentioned as being "clean with decent machines," although it operates on coins, and change needs to be obtained from the office.
However, there are several notable drawbacks that potential guests should consider. One significant issue raised is the claim regarding the pool's heating. A reviewer explicitly stated, "They said the pool was heated. That is absolutely not true," describing the water as being so cold that even children quickly exited the pool. The jacuzzi was also reported to be "foamy," which could indicate a maintenance concern. Despite these issues with the pool and jacuzzi, the facilities such as "bathrooms, showers ect, are great," suggesting that other essential amenities are well-maintained.
Another major concern highlighted by a guest is the surrounding neighborhood, which is described as "very sketchy." The approach to the park involves driving by "broken down RV's on the side of the road," and there is a visible presence of homeless individuals in the vicinity, including tents located right next to the park fence. While this reviewer noted that they were not bothered by these individuals and only saw one passing through the park, the situation was a persistent concern in the back of their minds. It is important to note that the reviewer acknowledged this is "not the fault of the park" but still a factor to consider for personal safety and comfort.
Furthermore, the park layout varies significantly between site types. While the pull-through sites are spacious, the back-in sites are described as "pretty crammed together" with "not much room." Guests who stayed in a pull-through site expressed that they would have been "unhappy with a back in" due to the limited space. This is a crucial consideration when booking, depending on the size of your RV and your preference for site space.
Finally, a significant environmental factor is the park's direct proximity to the landing path of the Deer Valley Airport. This results in a "constant sound of airplanes coming in for a landing" and a "surprising number of jets for a small airport." This noise level could be a significant disturbance for those sensitive to aircraft noise, particularly during the day and evening hours.
One suggestion for improvement offered by a guest was the addition of a gate to the entrance, likely in response to the concerns about the surrounding neighborhood and the presence of non-residents passing through the park.
In summary, DEER VALLEY RV PARK offers the advantages of large pull-through sites, a friendly staff, clean laundry facilities, and a convenient location providing easy access to attractions throughout the Phoenix valley. However, potential guests should be aware of the reported issues with the unheated pool and foamy jacuzzi, the concerns about the safety and environment of the surrounding neighborhood, the cramped nature of the back-in sites, and the persistent noise from the adjacent Deer Valley Airport's flight path.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Phoenix, DEER VALLEY RV PARK presents a trade-off between convenient location and potential drawbacks related to amenities, surroundings, and noise. It is recommended that prospective guests carefully consider these factors based on their individual needs and preferences. Contacting the park directly at (623) 581-3969 or +1 623-581-3969 to inquire about current conditions, site availability (specifying pull-through if preferred), and any recent updates regarding the pool and security measures would be a prudent step before making a reservation.

DEER VALLEY RV PARK Reviews
They said the pool was heated. That is absolutely not true. You should see the faces on even kids as they jump in! They jump out fast! My hubby swims in pretty cool water but even he wouldnt swim. The jacuzzi was foamy. Facilities (bathrooms, showers ect, are great
Mar 22, 2025 · Debi CarterI really have mixed feelings about this park. On the positive, the pull through sites were nice and large. The location within proximity to everything in the valley was great. Pretty much 30 minutes or less to everything. The overall grounds were well kept. The staff was very friendly. The laundry room was also clean with decent machines (just be sure to bring change as the are coin operated and you have to go to the office to get change). The negatives. First off, the neighbood is very sketchy. You have to drive by some broken down RV's on the side of the road (see picture). There are homeless people all around the area including tents right next to the park fence (see orange tent in the background of picture). That said, they didn't bother us and we only saw one riding a bike through the park. Otherwise, they were not a problem but it was always in the back of our mind. I know it is not the fault of the park but still something to consider. Another negative is the back in sites were pretty crammed together there was not much room. We had a pull through site but would have been unhappy with a back in. Finally, the park is directly under the landing path of the deer valley airport. There was a constant sound of airplanes coming in for a landing and a surprising number of jets for a small airport. One suggestion for improving the experience would be adding a gate to the entrance.

It is located in a great location off of hwy 17.Great amenities, pool, spa, laundry room, dog park, outside bathroom, outside grill in pool area, miniature putting area for practice, and many other things. The ladies are nice in front area. This park is great.
Mar 26, 2025 · Shari EdwardsFor a park by the freeway, it was great! Friendly yet firm staff, clean facilities, good community and good for families. We will probably be back next winter.
May 01, 2025 · Dan BeelerIt was a trailer park. Nice and quite not a big place. Bathrooms clean and free showers . And laundry room. No free laundry you have to pay but no much. You can walk your dogs but clean up poop they provide poop bags.
