Desert's Edge RV Park Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" in the Phoenix, Arizona area and seeking an authentic RV park experience? Desert's Edge RV Park, located at 2398 W Williams Dr, Phoenix, AZ 85027, USA, distinguishes itself as a true RV park catering primarily to motorhomes and trailers, unlike some parks in the region that feature a significant number of park models or mobile homes. Based on recent customer reviews, Desert's Edge RV Park offers a clean, well-maintained, and welcoming environment for both short-term and long-term stays.
One of the key aspects that sets Desert's Edge RV Park apart is its focus on accommodating "just Motorhomes and trailers." This ensures a community primarily comprised of fellow RV travelers, creating a more traditional RV park atmosphere. Unlike some of the "giant" parks in the Phoenix area that may feel more like mobile home communities, Desert's Edge maintains the character of a genuine RV park, even with a number of full-time or seasonal campers. The reviewer noted that there are "No trashy looking rigs or trailers," suggesting a well-maintained and aesthetically pleasing environment throughout the park.
The park offers "medium sized" spaces, which appear to be adequate for larger RVs, as one reviewer mentioned comfortably camping in a 45' motorhome. Guests can expect "Good power and utilities," essential for a comfortable and convenient RV living experience in the Arizona climate. The reliability of these utilities is crucial for running air conditioning, appliances, and other RV systems.
Cleanliness is a significant positive aspect of Desert's Edge RV Park, with a reviewer describing it as "Very clean" and specifically praising the "nice" and "always clean" bathrooms and showers. Maintaining clean and well-kept facilities is a testament to the park's commitment to guest comfort and hygiene.
For those traveling with pets, Desert's Edge RV Park is described as "Dog friendly with a couple of dog areas." Having designated spaces for pets to exercise and relieve themselves is a valuable amenity for RVers who travel with their furry companions, contributing to a more enjoyable stay for both owners and their pets.
The overall atmosphere of the park is reported to be friendly, with a reviewer stating, "Everyone seems to be nice." A welcoming and friendly community can greatly enhance the RV park experience, fostering a sense of camaraderie among travelers.
Desert's Edge RV Park is also noted for its convenient location. While described as "A very large park with lots of spaces just off the highway," it effectively mitigates potential noise issues with "a wall and tall hedges to create some separation and privacy from the surroundings," resulting in road noise being "very quiet." Although located near a small airport, airplane noise is reported to be minimal, with "no commercial flights." This balance of accessibility and tranquility is a significant advantage.
The park's location also offers proximity to essential amenities, being "About 10 minutes from a lot of shopping with restaurants and a movie theater." This convenience allows guests to easily access everyday necessities, dining options, and entertainment without extensive travel.
The staff at Desert's Edge RV Park are commended for their helpfulness and quick assistance. One reviewer recounted a power issue and the need to extend their stay, noting that the staff were "always helpful and offered quick assistance." This responsiveness and support from the park staff can make a significant difference in resolving any issues and ensuring a stress-free stay.
The laundry room is described as "a bit small," but it is functional, with the reviewer only experiencing a wait for a dryer once during a three-month stay. The availability of "2 large dryers for bedding or large loads" is a thoughtful feature that caters to the specific needs of RV travelers.
However, potential guests should be aware of a "dip at the entrance" that one reviewer cautioned about, as they "scraped my back end on." Exercising caution when entering and exiting the park, especially with larger RVs, is advisable.

Desert's Edge RV Park Reviews
We have been to the Phoenix area camping a few times. If you have never been here in an RV, and you are not a Snowbird, you probably know that the RV parks here (at least the half dozen we have stayed at) aren’t really RV parks in the traditional sense. They are giant with more park models or even mobile homes then RV’s. So, this is not like that. This is a real RV park. Just Motorhomes and trailers. There are a lot of full timers or at least seasonal campers but it still looks like an RV park. No trashy looking rigs or trailers. The spaces are medium sized. Good power and utilities. Very clean with a nice little pool area. Dog friendly with a couple of dog areas. Everyone seems to be nice. We are camping in a 45’ motorhome.
Mar 22, 2025 · Pete NewmanI highly recommend this rv park for either your long or short term stays. I stayed with them for a little over 3 months and despite the high Arizona temperatures, it was a great stay.A very large park with lots of spaces just off the highway. Dec 08, 2024 · Stephanie LinterOne of the most expensive parks we've ever stayed at but a very nice park. Really great front office. The biggest complaint everyone hears is about the new maintenance man that watches over the park. He will kick people out quickly and hardly without warning. Over small issues. It creates a lot of insecurity and makes people wonder if they're gonna be safe to stay. Also, electric is now seperate and is added on top of a very high rent for a dirt lot. It just isn't what most RVers are wanting to pay after selling their mortgages and looking to live simpler. Beautiful park! But after the huge rent increase we had to move elsewhere.
Dec 05, 2023 · Virginia R (The More The Messier)Desert’s Edge is a great RV Park for long-term or short-term stays! The park is beautifully landscaped (see photos) with native desert plants. The staff does an incredible job with maintenance too! I never see any litter around and after monsoon dust storms they get the debris cleaned up quickly! It is really great for my dog too! They provide dog waste bags throughout the park and I’ve never seen dog waste left as this encourages everyone to pick up and just the way they maintain the park s nice you don’t want to mess it up!! There are also fenced off areas to have your dog off-leash around the park. And a small play set for young kids! Recycling is available as well as plenty of garbage bins. They also feature a super nice grilling area that they clean daily (restrooms are nearby and cleaned daily too!). The pool has always been sparkling clean and just the right temperature! Most important is I feel safe here even at night. Many people have things outside their RV and I’ve never heard of any issues with things disappearing (unless it’s a monsoon!!).
Jul 13, 2018 · KayleeMade a reservation months ago however upon arrival today we learned the bathrooms are closed for renovation and there is no WiFi. There was no notice, no contact, and no discount! While we are self-sufficent in a Class C and have Starlink for WiFi, every once in a while it's nice to have a larger shower stall!Limited number of pull-through spaces and none have any shade or landscaping to speak of (that is clearly stated on the website; if you want trees and shade you need to reserve one of the numerous back-in spaces, which look very nice. Our slip, #405 was long enough for our 31' Class C and VW - we were able to leave the tow dolly connected. The gravel site is mostly level and has 50 and 30 amp outlets, no 20 amp. There is no CATV however on-air channels come in clearly and there are many to choose from. AT&T has four bars and Starlink was fast enough to stream on TV and power up 2 phones and 2 computers in prime time.Have not checked the laundry room or pool yet and the dogs are not happy with the complete lack of grass (I know, I know, it's the desert). We're here for five days and won't be back. I only chose this place because it was the closest park with pull-through slips to a downtown location I will be at every day. The area is heavily industrial with lots of razor wire topping fences,
