North Basin RV Park Introduce
If you're searching for "RV parks near me" in the Arkadelphia, Arkansas area and desire a stay within a gorgeous natural setting, North Basin RV Park, located at Iron Mountain Ramp Rd, Arkadelphia, AR 71923, USA, offers a serene and well-maintained camping experience. Based on recent customer reviews, this private campground, believed to be situated within or adjacent to a State Park, provides clean and new facilities, convenient amenities, and beautiful lake views, making it an ideal choice for those seeking a peaceful retreat with access to outdoor activities.
One of the most appealing aspects of North Basin RV Park is its stunning environment. Described as a "beautiful park in a gorgeous setting" with a "lake view," the campground offers a picturesque backdrop for your RV stay. The natural beauty of the area, likely enhanced by its proximity to a State Park, provides a tranquil and scenic escape for visitors. The mention of "nearby trails" suggests opportunities for hiking and exploring the surrounding natural landscape, making it particularly attractive for outdoor enthusiasts and those traveling with pets who enjoy "sniffventures."
The cleanliness of the facilities at North Basin RV Park is consistently highlighted in the reviews. One guest specifically mentioned the "cleanest campground bathrooms I've experienced," indicating a high standard of hygiene and maintenance. This is a significant factor for many RV travelers, and the positive feedback suggests that North Basin RV Park excels in providing well-kept and sanitary facilities for its guests. Another reviewer who did not personally use the bathhouse or laundry room reported that their neighbors described them as "new and spotless," further reinforcing the impression of well-maintained and modern amenities.
The RV sites at North Basin RV Park are designed for convenience and comfort. The park offers "pull through" spots, which are particularly advantageous for larger RVs as they eliminate the need for backing up. One reviewer stayed on "site #2 which was a pull through full hookup site with picnic table and fire ring." The presence of full hookups typically includes connections for water, electricity, and sewer, providing all the necessary utilities for a comfortable stay. The inclusion of a picnic table and fire ring at the sites enhances the outdoor camping experience, offering spaces for dining and enjoying campfires (when burn bans are not in effect).
The sites themselves are also noted for their quality, with one reviewer mentioning a "large concrete pad" on their pull-thru site. Concrete pads offer a stable and level surface for parking RVs, contributing to a more comfortable and less muddy environment, especially during wet weather. The combination of pull-thru access, full hookups, and concrete pads makes North Basin RV Park a well-equipped and convenient option for a variety of RV travelers.
Connectivity is another aspect where North Basin RV Park appears to perform well. One guest reported that the "wifi was perfect" at their pull-thru spot #2. Reliable internet access is increasingly important for travelers, whether for staying connected with family and friends, working remotely, or accessing information about the local area. The positive feedback on the WiFi service adds to the overall appeal of the park.
The size of the campground, mentioned as "17 sites," suggests a more intimate and potentially quieter camping experience compared to larger RV parks. This smaller scale can contribute to a more relaxed and less crowded atmosphere, allowing guests to better enjoy the natural surroundings and the peace of the location.
While one reviewer mentioned missing a campfire due to a burn ban, this is a temporary restriction based on local conditions and not a permanent feature of the park. The presence of fire rings at the sites indicates that campfires are typically allowed when safety regulations permit.
The fact that the guests who initially stayed in cabin rentals, managed by the same entity, were happy to extend their stay at the RV park based on the recommendation of the clerk suggests a consistent level of quality and service across the managed properties. This cross-referral speaks positively about the reputation and management of North Basin RV Park.
In summary, North Basin RV Park offers a compelling combination of a beautiful, likely State Park-adjacent setting with lake views, clean and new facilities (including restrooms and potentially laundry), convenient pull-thru sites with full hookups and concrete pads, reliable WiFi, and a more intimate camping experience with only 17 sites. Its proximity to hiking trails also makes it an excellent choice for those looking to explore the natural beauty of the Arkadelphia area.
Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the reviews. However, the positive feedback regarding the cleanliness, the beautiful setting, and the quality of the facilities can be considered strong implicit endorsements. The fact that guests who were initially staying elsewhere chose to extend their visit at this campground speaks volumes about its appeal. For any specific promotional rates, seasonal offers, or information about long-term stays, it is recommended to contact North Basin RV Park directly at (870) 246-4310 or +1 870-246-4310.
In conclusion, if you are searching for "RV parks near me" in the Arkadelphia, AR area and value a clean, well-maintained campground in a beautiful natural setting with lake views and access to outdoor activities, North Basin RV Park is an excellent option. Its new and spotless facilities, convenient pull-thru sites with full hookups, reliable WiFi, and peaceful atmosphere make it a highly recommended destination for a relaxing and enjoyable RV stay. Whether you're looking for a short overnight stop or a longer exploration of the area's natural beauty, North Basin RV Park appears to be a hidden gem worth discovering.

North Basin RV Park Reviews
The clerk at the cabin rentals told my husband they also managed this campground while we were settling up our bill and we're very happy she did. We decided to extend our stay in the area for two days for Halloween for more sniffventures with our dogs on the nearby trails. Cleanest campground bathrooms I've experienced. We were in a pull through spot #2 and wifi was perfect there. The only thing I missed was a campfire (burn ban was in effect) but otherwise a great stay.
Nov 14, 2024 · Mina ByrdBeautiful park in a gorgeous setting. It’s a private campground inside the State Park (I believe) 17 sites. We stayed on site #2 which was a pull through full hookup site with picnic table and fire ring. Large concrete pad. Lake view. We only stayed one night but would definitely spend a week here. Clean, new, did not go in the bathhouse or laundry room but those next to us said it was new and spotless.
Nov 25, 2024 · Debbie CashmareckI absolutely loved it!! I loved waking up the beautiful view of Lake Degray a few feet away!! It was very peaceful, well kept and clean laundry was close by as well as the nicest cleanest showers/bathrooms I had ever seen!! I was thrilled with this place I just wish it wasn’t as pricey but the view was worth it!!
Jan 27, 2024 · Nidia CantuYou must input North Basin RV Park in your GPS, otherwise you will end up at the marina where the conference center is and there are no RV campsites there. When you get inside the park, the road up to the spots is windy and narrow at points. If there are 2 trucks hauling campers passing each other, both of you will have to yield and share the road! When you get to the T in the road, you should turn right to go to North Basin RV Park, which is a full-service camping spot. If you go left, you'll end up at the Army Corps camping spots which are primitive in the sense that they only have electricity, no water, no sewer, they are also chat camping spots, big difference!North Basin RV Park has only 16 spots but they are modern. Concrete slab spots with electric and sewer and the electric has 3 different types of receptacles for different plugs, so if you forgot your adapter, you are not up a creek. The sites are level, well spaced, and on a peninsula that provides gorgeous surround views of the lake and marina. Bathhouse and facilities are top-notch. Degray Lake is behind the camper spots and the marina and docks are in front of the campers, depending on which side your site is. Bathhouse is really nice and modern but the code for men and women is the same so if you have children or teenagers do not send them to bathe alone, be alert! The laundry is the door right between the men's and women's bathroom. It is $2.50 a load for both washer and dryer. Must bring your own laundry detergent, etc.WiFi is not good, I connected and it kept kicking me off, plus the signal was poor inside the camper in spot #6. Where on the campgrounds can you get a strong signal?? The camp spots are pretty good so I don't get it, they are high up in a ridge so you think the WiFi would be decent but it's not. There is also a transient parking lot at the end of the camper spots located where the boat ramp into DeGray Lake is. It was a very quiet park, no neighbors for 4 nights except for 1 RV way out near the entrance of the RV park.
May 31, 2024 · C Dub, JrWow! Isolated, beautiful, well kept, and reasonable price - paid $60 on 4/15/25 for a big pull-thru, 50amp, water, sewer. The drive to get there is gorgeous - winding roads thru a forest.
