Nova Family Campground Introduce
Nova Family Campground, located at 1190 Herbert St, Port Orange, FL 32129, USA, positions itself as a versatile camping destination just a short distance from the iconic Daytona Beach. Operating within the "RV parks near me" category, this campground aims to provide a range of accommodations and services for various types of travelers, from RV enthusiasts to those seeking cabin rentals or tent sites. While it strives to be a welcoming spot for families and event-goers, it's important to consider all available information to form a complete picture of what to expect.
The campground is situated on 18 acres of what is described as "lush, green, tree-lined bliss," offering a more natural and potentially tranquil setting away from the direct hustle and bustle of the beach, yet remaining within easy reach. Its strategic location, approximately six miles from Daytona Beach, eight miles from the Daytona International Speedway, and within walking distance to Port Orange City Center, is a significant environmental selling point. This allows guests to enjoy a relaxing camping experience while still having convenient access to the region's major attractions, including the "World's Most Famous Beach," buzzing nightlife, and various Central Florida adventures. The terrain is generally flat, typical of the region, and while the park strives for a natural feel, some guest experiences suggest that site spaciousness and lighting in certain areas might vary, as noted in one review that mentioned "little spots" and a lack of "street lights."
Nova Family Campground offers a variety of services designed to accommodate different camping preferences. For RVs, the park provides sites with full hookups, including 30 and 50 AMP electric service, water, and sewer. Many RV sites come with picnic tables. Beyond RV sites, the campground also features various rental accommodations, including cabins and trailers, and dedicated tenting areas. These cabins and trailers aim to provide a more "glamping" experience, with some cabins offering amenities like toilets, showers, heating, air conditioning, basic kitchen supplies, and even TVs. On-site facilities for guest convenience include clean, modern washrooms and shower houses, laundry facilities, and an on-site general store that sells essentials like beer, ice, and souvenirs. For communication, wireless internet hotspots are available throughout the park, and select sites may offer cable TV. Propane and firewood are also available upon request, adding to the convenience for campers. The campground is also pet-friendly, though with certain restrictions and fees, and requires pets to be leashed and cleaned up after.
The features of Nova Family Campground are geared towards providing recreational opportunities and a comfortable stay. A key feature is the heated swimming pool and tanning deck, offering a place for relaxation and fun. There is also a game room equipped with a pool table and a "lending library," providing indoor entertainment options. A reception hall may be available for group gatherings or events. The park aims to be "rally-friendly" for major events like the Daytona 500 and Bike Week, suggesting that its infrastructure can support a larger influx of guests during these times. While the official information outlines these amenities, some customer feedback indicates that maintenance or availability of certain features might be inconsistent; for example, one review mentioned the pool being closed for repair. The varying sizes of sites, from "primitive" tent sites to RV pull-throughs that can accommodate vehicles up to 55-60 feet long, aim to cater to a wide range of camping equipment. The general layout with mostly shaded sites provides some natural comfort in the Florida climate.
When considering promotional information for Nova Family Campground, it's essential to look at both the park's stated offerings and direct customer experiences. The provided phone numbers, (386) 767-0095 and +1 386-767-0095, serve as the primary contact points for reservations and inquiries. The park promotes its close proximity to Daytona Beach and the Speedway as a major draw, appealing to those who wish to experience the vibrant events and attractions of the area while having a base slightly removed from the direct beachfront crowds. The availability of diverse accommodation types—RV sites, cabins, and tents—is also a key promotional aspect, aiming to attract a broad audience. However, prospective guests should be aware of some highly critical customer reviews that touch upon aspects of service and site conditions. One review from March 2025 expressed strong dissatisfaction with "way too much" pricing for "little spots" with "no electricity, no street lights," and labeled the experience as "horrible." Another review highlighted a significantly negative experience with the office staff, describing them as "very rude" and causing a "panic attack," leading the potential guest to state they "wouldn’t stay there if they paid me." These reviews, though isolated incidents, represent specific guest perceptions and suggest that experiences can vary. Therefore, when evaluating Nova Family Campground as an option within the "RV parks near me" category, it is advisable for interested parties to conduct thorough research, perhaps contact the park directly with specific questions about site sizes, amenities, and current conditions, and consider a range of recent reviews to make an informed decision that aligns with their personal expectations for a camping experience.

Nova Family Campground Reviews
We came from NC to attend the bike rally. We reserved our spot ahead of time. Never again!! They charge way too much for the little spots. They're only big enough for a dollhouse! Next year,I will be going to the other campsite!! No electricity, no street lights. It was horrible!!! 03/07/2025.
Mar 09, 2025 · Mary CamellDon’t bother inquiring! The lady in the office is very rude!! We are 2 seniors inquiring about annual membership with excellent credit and references from previous rv parks. The lady was so rude she almost made me have a panic attack. I told her to forget it and left. I wouldn’t stay there if they paid me!!! If she’s that rude to people inquiring, how bad is she to residents?!
Jan 23, 2025 · Tara RoyNice campground, my only complaint was NO HOT WATER IN SHOWER. After a busy, hard day, I was looking for a nice hot shower.
Mar 11, 2025 · Blaine NorrisWay too small and packed in sites .paid for a pull through had to move was litterly impossible to exit with 26ft RV and 14 ft trailer RV alone could not have pulled through. Did have branch hit roof entering and had to swing way left exiting to avoid large limb(was a small sign warning about limb)old bathroom with no hot water no ventilation so very hot inside .staff was pleasant .great location. Will not stay again.
