La Costa Village, located at 1275 La Costa Village Blvd, Port Orange, FL 32129, USA, presents itself as a highly appealing 55+ community with a range of noteworthy features. This introduction aims to provide a detailed overview of La Costa Village based on the available customer reviews, highlighting its environment, services, and distinctive characteristics.
La Costa Village can be contacted directly at (386) 767-3551 or via their mobile number at +1 386-767-3551. Reaching out to them will provide you with the most current information regarding residency options, lot availability for mobile homes or RVs (if applicable), specific amenities, and any community guidelines or promotional offers.
The customer reviews for La Costa Village paint a picture of a truly exceptional 55+ community. One reviewer describes it as a "gorgeous community" that is conveniently located just 3.4 miles from the famous Daytona Beach. This proximity offers residents easy access to the beach's recreational opportunities and the vibrant atmosphere of the Daytona Beach area while still providing a distinct residential setting.
A significant and rare feature of La Costa Village, particularly for a community so close to the ocean, is that "The homes are not in a flood zone." This provides considerable peace of mind for residents, offering a layer of protection against the coastal flooding that can sometimes affect properties in the vicinity. This reviewer rightly points out that this is "A rare find this close to the ocean," underscoring the unique planning and location of the community.
The thoughtful design of La Costa Village extends to its infrastructure. The reviewer notes that "The designers of this 55+ community built-in water retention canals that remain dry the majority of the year." This innovative approach to water management not only helps in flood prevention but also suggests a well-planned and environmentally conscious development.
The amenities at La Costa Village are clearly a highlight, with the reviewer stating that "The club house, pools, hot tub, and pickle ball courts are expertly maintained." These are highly desirable features for an active adult community, offering opportunities for social interaction, recreation, and relaxation. A well-maintained clubhouse can serve as a hub for community events and activities, while pools and hot tubs provide leisure and exercise options. Pickle ball has become increasingly popular, and having expertly maintained courts on-site is a significant draw for enthusiasts.
A particularly unique and welcoming feature of La Costa Village is its pet policy: "The only community we discovered to accept 2 large breed dogs." For many pet owners, especially those with larger dogs, finding a community that accommodates their furry family members is a crucial factor in their choice of residence. The reviewer's personal connection to their dogs, "Our boxer and goldendoodle Zeke and Lillian are like children to us," emphasizes the importance of this pet-friendly policy.
However, the reviewer also provides a clear caveat for those who may not be fond of large dogs: "If you do not like large breed dogs....this is not the place for you." This transparency is valuable, ensuring that prospective residents are aware of the community's pet-friendly nature and can make an informed decision based on their preferences.
Another reviewer offers a brief but positive insight into the community's social aspect, mentioning attending "a Taylor Road Band charity concert in the recreation center. Very nice place." This not only confirms the presence of a well-regarded recreation center (likely the clubhouse mentioned in the other review) but also suggests an active social calendar and opportunities for community engagement through events like concerts.
Considering these reviews, La Costa Village stands out as a highly desirable 55+ mobile home community in Port Orange, Florida. Its prime location just a short drive from Daytona Beach offers the perfect balance of coastal living and a tranquil residential environment. The fact that it is situated outside the flood zone is a significant and reassuring advantage. The well-maintained amenities, including a clubhouse, pools, hot tub, and pickle ball courts, cater to an active and social lifestyle.
The community's exceptionally welcoming pet policy, allowing up to two large breed dogs, sets it apart from many other 55+ communities and makes it an ideal choice for dog lovers. The presence of a recreation center that hosts events like charity concerts further underscores the vibrant and engaging social life within La Costa Village.
While the reviews primarily focus on the mobile home aspect of La Costa Village, individuals searching for "RV parks near me" within the 55+ category in this area should still consider contacting the community. Some 55+ mobile home parks also offer designated RV sites for short or long-term stays, often with access to the same amenities as mobile home residents. Inquiring about the availability and terms for RVs would be a worthwhile step for interested RV travelers.
When contacting La Costa Village, prospective residents or RVers should inquire about:
- The availability of mobile home lots for purchase or lease.
- If RV sites are available, the hookup amenities (water, electricity, sewer), site sizes, and rates.
- Specific details about the amenities, such as pool hours, clubhouse facilities, and pickle ball court availability.
- Any community rules and regulations, including those pertaining to pets (beyond the allowance of large breeds).
- Information about the water retention canals and how they function.
- Details about the social activities and events organized within the community.
- Any homeowner's association fees or other costs associated with residency.
The provided information does not include any specific promotional offers for La Costa Village. When you contact them, be sure to ask if they have any current incentives for new residents or special rates for RV stays, if applicable.
In conclusion, La Costa Village in Port Orange, FL, appears to be a truly exceptional 55+ mobile home community offering a gorgeous environment, a prime location near Daytona Beach but outside the flood zone, expertly maintained amenities, and a uniquely welcoming policy towards large breed dogs. The active social life, as suggested by events at the recreation center, further enhances its appeal. Jun 21, 2019 · Jeff Kaloostian IIWe have lived here for 2 yrs. Lot lease is getting ridiculous. We pay $840 a month. It goes up every yearPlus a pass through tax once a year at around $600. That helps pay Sun Community Taxes. We have 680 homes in this park. Everyone pays this Pass tax. I think is a rip off. When we bought our place we where never told about this tax. The manage here needs to retire. They promise us things we never get.we don't have a private lake. Its a big pond. Yes all the homes * park looks nice. But a lot of places for sale because people can't afford to live here on Social Security.
