Described as a "small, no-frills campground," Okefenokee RV Park offers a more intimate and relaxed setting compared to larger, resort-style parks. It features approximately 50 sites, providing a mix of both pull-through and back-in options to accommodate various sizes and types of recreational vehicles. According to guest feedback, the sites are generally level, ensuring a more comfortable setup for your RV. While the sites are noted as "not overly spacious," they are reported to provide the necessary space for a comfortable stay, emphasizing functionality and convenience over expansive individual areas.
Despite its "no-frills" nature, Okefenokee RV Park offers essential amenities to enhance the camping experience. These include a small recreation room equipped with a pool table and air hockey, providing a welcome space for indoor entertainment, especially on less favorable weather days. For those on extended trips, the availability of a coin-operated laundry facility is a significant convenience, allowing guests to take care of their laundry needs on-site. Adding to the convenience and appeal of Okefenokee RV Park is the presence of a restaurant on-site. This amenity offers guests the option of enjoying a meal without having to travel outside the park, which can be particularly appreciated after a day of exploring the wildlife refuge or engaging in other outdoor activities. The availability of a restaurant adds a significant layer of convenience and enhances the overall guest experience.
The positive feedback extends to the management, with one reviewer specifically mentioning, "Barbara who manages it is so nice and very helpful. Can't stay in a nicer place. Try it." The "very reasonable rates" mentioned by one reviewer further enhance its appeal, making it an affordable option for travelers looking to explore the region without breaking the bank.
The mention of a memorable Fourth of July celebration with "Fireworks right outside our RV" that "Lasted an hour" suggests that the park may organize or allow for special events and activities, fostering a sense of community and celebration among its guests during holidays. The fact that the grounds are "Grassy" also indicates a more natural and pleasant environment for setting up camp and enjoying the outdoors.

Mar 20, 2025 · Melissa JackThis is a very quaint low key campground. We loved it. So very friendly. Close to Okefenokee National Wildlife Refuge. Which is awesome. Very reasonable rates. Fourth of July was great. Fireworks right outside our RV. Lasted an hour. Grassy. Has a restaurant on-site. Laundry, rec area and showers. You won't be disappointed. Barbara who manages it is so nice and very helpful. Can't stay in a nicer place. Try it.
Jul 10, 2020 · Amelia MarekThis RV park was very cute and ran by a very nice and great staff! Within the first week of us being there, they had a potato outing for everyone in the park to come which was super nice and helped us meet everyone in the park! They have a decent sized laundry, game room, public restrooms, as well as a basketball court. The wifi is very much 50/50. You are also pretty far from both neighboring towns, but you are within 1 hour of Jacksonville FL, Saint Simons Island/Jekyll island (Driftwood beach) , and Saint Mary’s GA which are beautiful places. It seems like most the people here live full time or on a yearly basis because they have permanent fences or sheds right next to their mobile homes which can sort of make the rv park feel cluttered. But this place is a nice place to stay if you are needing a cheaper place to be with a very friendly feel!(Didn’t get any pictures of RV park, but I have pictures of the neighboring places that you can visit)
Nov 26, 2021 · Jessica ShipmanLoved staying here. Nice size spots so you’re not right on top of your neighbor. People here are very friendly. Nice clean laundry room and never used the bathroom facilities but often saw them being cleaned. Just a nice quiet place. Had an issue with our power pole and they were prompt to fix it. All in all just a good place to stay!
Jan 17, 2024 · Kimmy TiffeeI came here in November 2022 for a 'short' stay but it's now February 2024 and I have no plans of leaving.Such a special family atmosphere inspired by the owner, Janna. The lots are huge and accommodate my 40' toy hauler andmy 28' enclosed car hauler/workshop as well. I've stayed in dozens of r.v. parks (usually more expensive) but this smaller park is the best I've found!!
