Old Lake Shore Co-Op Introduce
Located at 343 Old Lake Shore Rd LOT 27 in Gilford, New Hampshire, Old Lake Shore Co-Op presents itself as a mobile home community within the 03249 zip code. For local individuals exploring housing options or those searching within the "RV parks near me" category for longer-term residency possibilities that might extend beyond typical recreational vehicle stays, Old Lake Shore Co-Op offers a community living environment. As a co-operative, the ownership and management structure may differ from privately owned mobile home parks, potentially involving residents in the governance of the community. However, the limited information available online, primarily consisting of customer reviews, offers some insights into the environment and potential considerations for prospective residents.
The environment of Old Lake Shore Co-Op, based on the limited reviews, appears to be a traditional mobile home park setting. The address, "Old Lake Shore Rd," suggests a possible proximity to a lake, which could be an environmental amenity for residents, offering potential for scenic views or recreational activities if access is available. However, the reviews themselves do not focus on the physical environment of the park. Instead, they highlight aspects of community interaction and management style that prospective residents might find relevant. The first review describes an encounter with a woman who reacted negatively to the reviewer posting a flyer about a lost pet, claiming the woman was aggressive and acted as if she owned the park. This suggests that there might be strong opinions or a perceived sense of authority among some residents or board members within the co-op. The second review echoes concerns about the community's atmosphere, mentioning a "tyrant" on the board of directors who is allegedly disrespectful to others. These comments paint a picture where interpersonal dynamics and community rules might be a significant factor for residents.
Information regarding specific services and amenities within Old Lake Shore Co-Op is not detailed in the provided reviews. Typically, mobile home parks offer essential services such as individual lot hookups for water, sewer, and electricity. Residents are usually responsible for their own utility bills, but the park would maintain the overall infrastructure. Depending on the co-op's facilities, there might be common areas such as laundry rooms, recreational spaces (like a clubhouse or small park), and possibly maintenance services for communal areas. However, without official information from the co-op itself, it is difficult to ascertain the full range of services available to residents. The reviews do not mention any specific amenities, focusing instead on the social and administrative aspects of the community.
The features of Old Lake Shore Co-Op, as suggested by its co-operative structure, might include a degree of resident involvement in the community's management and decision-making processes. Co-ops are often governed by a board of directors elected by the residents, which can lead to a sense of ownership and community spirit. However, the negative reviews raise concerns about the effectiveness and fairness of this governance in the case of Old Lake Shore Co-Op, with mentions of a "tyrant" on the board and perceived exclusionary practices regarding resident qualifications ("perfect credit and a high income"). These comments suggest that while the co-operative model can be a feature, the actual implementation and the interpersonal dynamics within the community might not be universally positive. The location in Gilford, NH, could be considered a feature, offering proximity to the Lakes Region of New Hampshire, with its associated recreational opportunities and scenic beauty. However, this is not directly addressed in the provided reviews.
Within the context of the "RV parks near me" platform category, Old Lake Shore Co-Op might be relevant for individuals considering a longer-term or permanent living situation in a mobile home rather than short-term recreational vehicle stays. While traditional RV parks cater to temporary visitors, mobile home parks often involve leases or ownership of the mobile homes situated on rented lots. The platform might list Old Lake Shore Co-Op as an option for those seeking a residential community for their mobile home. Nearby services and goods listed within this category could include RV and mobile home repair services, suppliers of parts and accessories, and businesses offering related services such as landscaping or property maintenance that residents might utilize. Given the concerns raised in the reviews about community interactions and financial qualifications, prospective residents might also look for resources offering advice on co-operative living or tenant rights in New Hampshire.
Currently, there is no promotional information available for Old Lake Shore Co-Op in the provided data. Mobile home parks, especially co-operatives, typically focus on long-term residency rather than short-term promotions. Information about availability, lot fees, and any specific requirements for becoming a resident would likely be obtained by contacting the co-op directly. The phone number provided is (603) 293-7636 or +1 603-293-7636. Interested parties should inquire about the application process, financial criteria, and any rules or regulations governing the community. Given the negative feedback in the reviews regarding resident interactions and management, it would be prudent for prospective residents to seek detailed information and perhaps speak with current residents (if possible) to gain a more comprehensive understanding of the community environment before making a decision.
In conclusion, Old Lake Shore Co-Op in Gilford, NH, offers a mobile home living environment in the Lakes Region. As a co-operative, it may have a unique ownership and management structure. However, the limited customer reviews available raise concerns about community interactions, particularly regarding perceived aggressive behavior from some individuals and potentially strict financial requirements for residency. While the location in Gilford might offer access to the amenities of the region, prospective residents should exercise caution and seek detailed information directly from the co-op management and potentially current residents to assess whether this community aligns with their expectations for environment, services, and social dynamics. The "RV parks near me" platform can serve as a starting point for finding such communities, but thorough due diligence is essential, especially in light of the feedback provided in the available reviews.

Old Lake Shore Co-Op Reviews
I know nothing of the park but we lost our little puppy today and believe she might be in that park. A lady came out of nowhere while we were trying to hang a flyer accosted us in the street even tho we were hanging it on a telephone pole. She called it trash and when we tried to explain she was very aggressive. She said she was going to take it right down. She acted like she owned the park and it was very disrespectful during a very difficult time. Good luck living there.
Aug 02, 2023 · Tess LessardUnless you have perfect credit and a high income good luck. Plus the board of directors has a tyrant who will cuss you out in the st, and believes that she owns the park.
Nov 14, 2021 · Megan HansonA wonderful community to live in. People spread lies about the people living here because they discriminate against low income families... They don't know the facts.
Jan 22, 2019 · Taylor KnytychThe park is trying to keep it neat by providing extra parking in the middle for their renters and guests.
