Ozarks Landing RV Resort Introduce
Welcome to Ozarks Landing RV Resort, situated at 398 Wood River Rd, Lake Ozark, MO 65049, USA. For those searching for "RV parks near me" in the Lake Ozark area, Ozarks Landing RV Resort presents itself as a destination with varying experiences reported by its visitors and staff. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of the environment, services, and features based on the available online reviews, allowing potential local users to form their own informed opinions.
The environment of Ozarks Landing RV Resort appears to offer the potential for a pleasant stay, particularly for those seeking the attractions of Lake Ozark. The location itself provides access to the renowned Lake Ozark, known for its recreational opportunities, including boating, fishing, and lakeside dining. The resort's setting on Wood River Road suggests a proximity to both the natural beauty of the Ozarks and the amenities and entertainment options that the Lake Ozark area provides. However, one review mentions a significant issue with the water smelling terrible, which could detract from the overall environmental quality experienced by guests.
In terms of services, the information available paints a mixed picture. One positive review from a work camper highlights friendly, kind, and respectful management and direct supervisors. This individual also noted an attractive work schedule and the opportunity to form friendships within the park. This suggests that for some, particularly those in a work camping role, the management and community aspects can be positive. However, another review from a family traveler describes a starkly different experience, citing rude and dismissive staff and a feeling of being unwelcome. This reviewer also mentioned outdated facilities and alarming safety concerns, indicating potential inconsistencies in the quality of services and amenities offered to all guests.
The features of Ozarks Landing RV Resort are not extensively detailed in the provided reviews. However, the mention of "full hookups" in the context of RV parks generally implies the availability of water, electricity, and sewer connections at the RV sites. The presence of work campers suggests that the park may offer long-term stay options or programs. The reference to a mother traveling with her family implies that the park aims to cater to families, although the negative review raises serious concerns about the actual experience for some families. The mention of indoor smoking and vaping by staff, even in the presence of a pregnant individual, points to a potential lack of adherence to professional standards and consideration for the health and comfort of both employees and guests.
Promotional information is not explicitly provided in the reviews. However, the fact that the park hires work campers could be seen as an indirect indication of potential cost-saving opportunities for those willing to work in exchange for their site and possibly other benefits. The positive experience of the work camper in 2024 could serve as a positive aspect for individuals considering such an arrangement in the future. Conversely, the strongly negative experiences shared by another reviewer serve as a critical point for potential guests to consider, highlighting potential issues with guest treatment, facility conditions, and safety.
It is important for local users searching for "RV parks near me" to weigh the contrasting experiences reported by individuals who have interacted with Ozarks Landing RV Resort. The positive account of a work camper suggests a potentially positive environment for those in a similar role, with friendly management and a good work-life balance. The formation of friendships also indicates a social aspect within the park for some. However, the deeply concerning review from a family traveler raises serious red flags regarding guest treatment, facility conditions (specifically the water smell and outdated facilities), and safety measures. The subsequent interactions between this reviewer and the park management, as detailed in the follow-up comments, further underscore the negative experience and raise questions about the park's responsiveness to criticism and its overall management practices.
The allegations of harassment, mistreatment, and questionable business practices made by the former work camper, who resigned due to these issues, are also significant points of concern for potential guests. The claim of indoor smoking and vaping by staff, particularly in the presence of a pregnant individual, reflects a lack of professionalism and respect that could impact the comfort and health of others at the resort. The park's response to these serious allegations, characterized by the reviewer as deflection and personal attacks, does not inspire confidence in their commitment to addressing legitimate concerns.
Given the conflicting reports, local users considering Ozarks Landing RV Resort should approach with caution and consider seeking additional, more recent reviews or information from other sources. The significant discrepancies between the positive experience of one work camper and the highly negative experience of a family traveler suggest that the quality of stay may vary considerably depending on individual circumstances or changes in management and park conditions over time. It would be prudent to inquire directly about the current state of the facilities, water quality, and guest policies before making a reservation.
In conclusion, Ozarks Landing RV Resort offers a location in the popular Lake Ozark area, with the potential for a positive experience as reported by a work camper. However, serious concerns have been raised by other guests regarding rude staff, poor treatment, outdated facilities, water quality issues, and a lack of safety measures. Allegations of harassment and unprofessional behavior by staff further compound these concerns. Local users searching for "RV parks near me" should carefully consider these contrasting reports and conduct further research to determine if Ozarks Landing RV Resort meets their expectations and standards for a comfortable and safe stay.

Ozarks Landing RV Resort Reviews
My husband and I were work campers at this park for the summer of 2024. We had an amazing experience and would highly recommend it. Management and our direct supervisors were friendly, kind and respectful and truly made our experience a pleasant one. The schedule of working 2 days a week with 5 days off was very attractive for us. We met several great people at this park and made lifelong friendships.
Jan 11, 2025 · Tiffany BeresAs a mother traveling with my family, I was appalled by how unwelcome we were made to feel. The staff was rude and dismissive, and we were treated differently compared to other guests. It’s heartbreaking to think that our ethnicity could have been a factor. Beyond the poor treatment, the park itself is a disaster. The water smells terrible, the facilities are outdated, and the lack of safety measures is alarming. We won’t be coming back. It’s unfortunate that instead of addressing the concerns raised in my review, Ozarks Landing RV Resort has chosen to deflect and make personal attacks. For clarification, I was not fired—I resigned in the middle of the night due to ongoing harassment, mistreatment, and the company’s questionable business practices. As for the claims about my performance, I worked hard, even coming in on days off and trying to accommodate my doctor’s appointments due to my pregnancy—a fact I initially kept private because I feared the exact type of treatment I ultimately experienced. Your attempt to dismiss my concerns as “false accusations” further underscores the toxic environment at this park.Additionally, it’s worth noting that staff frequently smoked cigarettes and vapes indoors, fully aware I was pregnant, which speaks volumes about the lack of professionalism and respect shown to employees and guests alikeThis response only solidifies why I will not be returning or recommending this location to others. Instead of accountability, you opted for intimidation. Future guests deserve to know what they might encounter here.
Jan 18, 2025 · scarlet sporlederExtremely disappointed with my stay here. The staff is incredibly rude and unhelpful from the start, making me feel unwelcome. The campground is nothing more than a gravel parking lot—absolutely too little amenities to justify the price, which is way too expensive for what you get. The water was potable but definitely not the best
Jan 11, 2025 · WilsonnAn absolutely must visit this campground they have built River decks overlooking the river on the backside of some of the campsites they have really nice pull through. They have a beautiful area to walk your fur babies and huge area for tents play area for your kids saltwater pool and Soft serve ice cream inside the office. Laundry room is very convenient. People are super nice very friendly. We were even talking to them about staying long-term. You have got to visit here. It is absolutely beautiful.
Oct 04, 2024 · Rae GordonMy wife and I researched and visited multiple parks at the Lake. Ozarks landing by far came out on top. There are lots of nice places down there but this one stands out for location and moreover the staff. Ms May and Tammy are the absolute best. Not sure we will stay any place else when we visit the lake of Ozarks. Hands downs the best.
