Pearl Lake RV Campground by Rjourney Introduce
Pearl Lake RV Campground by Rjourney, situated at W4585 S Pearl Lake Rd, Redgranite, WI 54970, USA, presents itself as a significant option for those searching "RV Parks Near Me" in central Wisconsin. This large campground, under the management of Rjourney, aims to provide a family-friendly camping experience with a range of amenities and activities, particularly centered around Pearl Lake.
The environment of Pearl Lake RV Campground is characterized by its expansive size and natural features. It is located on the shores of Pearl Lake, a clear blue, spring-fed lake spanning over 100 acres, offering ample opportunities for water activities. The property itself covers 207 acres with towering trees, providing both shaded and open sites. It's nestled in a stand of tall red pine trees, ensuring shade across many areas of the campground. The presence of a man-made swimming pond/beach area, described as "excellent," is a major draw, especially for families. This large body of water is perfect for swimming, water sports like kayaking, canoeing, and paddleboarding, and fishing. The Pearl Lake Boat Landing is free and accessible to the public, facilitating easy water access. The campground aims to feel surrounded by forest despite being within the heart of surrounding towns, offering a balance of nature and accessibility.
Pearl Lake RV Campground offers a substantial number of RV sites, approximately 339 sizable travel trailer and RV sites. These sites generally come with full hookups, offering both 30 and 50 amp electric service. The campground also offers rustic tent sites, providing options for different camping preferences, though one source indicates they do not offer tent camping, which suggests potential shifts in offerings or site availability. The campground map is available to help guests navigate the large property. Seasonal campsites are a significant portion of the park, with a new seasonal site development featuring waterfront sites with cantilevered decks, elevated waterview sites, and beachfront sites, totaling 148 seasonal sites. For daily/weekly visitors, sites are typically back-in, and while spacious, some can be tight with longer rigs if neighbors park too close to the paved surface.
In terms of services and features, Pearl Lake RV Campground boasts a wide array of amenities designed for family fun and convenience. Key features include:
- Waterfront Access: Direct access to Pearl Lake for swimming, boating, fishing, and watersports. The man-made swimming pond/beach area is a central attraction.
- Utilities: Full hookup RV sites with 30 and 50 amp electric service, water, and sewer.
- Recreational Activities: The campground offers "allot for kids to do, also allot for adults." Specific activities mentioned or inferred from Rjourney's general offerings include a pool/pond beach area, an arcade/game room, a convenience store, a bar serving food, a playground, mini-golf, basketball, ball fields, hayrides, s'mores around the campfire, scavenger hunts, BINGO games, kickball tournaments, and potentially live music.
- Restrooms and Showers: While some reviews are critical of their functionality post-ownership change, the campground does have bathroom and shower facilities.
- Pet-Friendly: The campground is pet-friendly, though some restrictions apply, and pets must be leashed.
- Connectivity: Some sources mention WiFi and cable availability, important for modern campers.
- On-site Store/Bar: A convenience store provides basic necessities, and a bar serves food, offering dining options without leaving the campground.
The fees for Pearl Lake RV Campground are noted as starting from $35 per night, with some sources indicating prices up to $56 per night. There are also reported new "fees" added without clear communication, causing significant frustration among some campers. Visitor fees for additional outside guests are $10 per day, with beach passes being an additional $20. Monthly camping accommodations are available by calling directly.
Promotional information for Pearl Lake RV Campground would highlight its prime location on Pearl Lake, known for its clear waters and extensive recreational opportunities. The "family-friendly" aspect, with numerous activities for both kids and adults, would be a strong selling point for those searching "RV Parks Near Me" for a vacation destination. The extensive list of amenities, including full hookups, a beach/pool area, and on-site conveniences like a store and bar, would also be emphasized. The option for seasonal camping, with new waterfront and elevated sites, could attract long-term residents. Marketing could leverage positive reviews that praise the friendly atmosphere and abundance of activities.
However, it is crucial to present an objective introduction, incorporating the significant concerns raised by customer reviews regarding the change in ownership to Rjourney. These reviews highlight a stark contrast in experience since the takeover, shifting from an "affordable, fun family camp ground" to one plagued with issues. Key criticisms include:
- Billing Issues: Frequent incorrect billing, leading to late payment threats despite campers attempting to pay.
- New Fees: Addition of several new "fees" without prior communication, including a $22/month winter fee that was initially promised only for the open season.
- Electricity Charges: Instances of questionable electricity readings, with high charges for minimal usage, and associated $5 fees for readings.
- Increased Prices: Weekend site rentals have become significantly more expensive, causing long-time campers to stop visiting.
- Lack of Improvements: Price increases are noted without corresponding improvements to the campground; specifically, "The bathrooms don't even have working faucets."
These negative reviews paint a picture of frustration, poor communication, and a decline in the overall value proposition, despite the inherent natural beauty and range of activities. While one positive review emphasizes the "very large campground," "friendly" atmosphere, and "excellent" pool/pond beach area, it stands in contrast to the detailed financial and maintenance complaints from others. This suggests a potential disconnect between the ideal experience and the operational reality under current management for some customers, particularly those who were long-term campers under previous ownership.
In conclusion, Pearl Lake RV Campground by Rjourney offers a large, family-friendly RV camping experience in Redgranite, WI, centered around the beautiful Pearl Lake. It boasts a wide range of amenities and activities, including full hookup sites, a swimming beach, and various recreational options for all ages. For those searching "RV Parks Near Me" and prioritizing a comprehensive activity schedule and lake access, it has considerable appeal. However, prospective campers, especially those considering seasonal or long-term stays, should be aware of the significant and detailed concerns raised by previous customers regarding billing inaccuracies, unexpected fees, questionable utility charges, and a perceived decline in maintenance standards since Rjourney assumed ownership. It is highly advisable for interested parties to contact the campground directly at (608) 690-5396 or +1 608-690-5396 to inquire about current rates, fees, available amenities, and to address any concerns stemming from the recent customer feedback before making a reservation.

Pearl Lake RV Campground by Rjourney Reviews
This used to be an affordable, fun family camp ground but since new ownership took over (R Journey) it has gone way down hill. Every month there are issues with billing being incorrect. There have been several new “fees” added on without any communication from the company. They are now threatening putting everyone on auto pay due to late payments but the bill is never correct to pay it. Last summer I stopped in the office several times to pay and kept getting told my bill was incorrect and they were “working on it”. During the winter months they started charging a $22/month fee after we were told the fee would only be charged during the open season. They communicated that they would be reading electric once a month. In the month of April they read my electric 2 days in a row. They charged me $5 each time and said that I used almost $9 of electricity in 1 day when we weren’t even there or running anything. Several others used less than $2 of electricity and got charged $27 in fees!Weekend site rentals used to be affordable as well but now they cost so much that families that have been camping here for 20 years are no longer coming. The price went way up with no improvements of the campground. The bathrooms don’t even have working faucets.
May 02, 2025 · Jennifer GalleAbsolutely loved it, very large campground. Everyone was so friendly. Pool/pond beech area is excellent. Allot for kids to do, also allot for adults. We will definitely camp here again
Sep 02, 2024 · Lester RaddatzLarge campground with sites stacked fairly close to one another. Clean restrooms and shower. Laundry area. We had 50/30 amp service to choose from. 110v didn't work but was fixed just before we left. Our site 90 was very unlevel. Front of RV was about 10" off the ground for it to be leveled. This had us scrambling to come up with a makeshift step to enter/exit. Staff had been very polite. No Internet access even though Rjourney stated they have WiFi. Bar eatery open Thursday, Friday and Saturday evening. Store has some items eggs, hotdogs and the like, as well as beer and other beverages. Despite the name Pearl lake campground it is not on the lake.
Jul 03, 2024 · Tim StephanMy wife and I love this campground!Lots of great people here, permanent and weekender alike. The staff is great and always helpful. The food at the bar is also very good.
May 09, 2024 · Gerald RaygorI truly cannot say enough great things about these two women that manage Pearl Lake RV Campground. My husband and I recently trailered a camper for our son (who is currently working in Berlin) and wanted to go the cheaper route of staying in a camper vs paying for hotel on a weekly basis. Upon arrival to the campground , we met Stacey and Christy and it was like God sent us two Angels. They both are very knowledgeable about campers set up/hook up and showed us so much kindness and was super helpful in getting our son set up with his camper. We are forever grateful to them and very much appreciated their input and help, also want to mention Christy’s dad (who also works at the campground) was extremely nice and came right over and was talking to my son. This campground is very nice, clean, and they even have a bar behind the office 😀. My heart felt at peace leaving our son at this campground, and these two women made my mind calm down for the long ride back to Ohio. If I were to come to Wisconsin for a camping trip, this would be my #1 place for sure !!!!
