Pelican Palms Village Introduce
Are you searching for exceptional mobile home parks near you in the vibrant St. Petersburg, Florida area? Consider Pelican Palms Village, a gated community located at 2701 34th St N, St. Petersburg, FL 33713, USA. While the platform category is "rv parks near me," it's important to note that Pelican Palms Village primarily offers manufactured home living, presenting a unique opportunity for those seeking a strong community atmosphere and potentially upscale amenities in a convenient location.
Pelican Palms Village is generating buzz among its residents, with discussions about its potential to become a "premium upscale gated community" just a short 3-mile drive from the attractions of St. Petersburg. This aspiration is fueled by ongoing improvements, such as the remodel of the community center and the possibility of new pickleball courts, indicating a forward-thinking approach to enhancing the living experience for its residents.
One resident, who purchased a new manufactured home in Pelican Palms Village over a year ago, enthusiastically describes the quality and features of these modern homes. With 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, vaulted ceilings, crown molding, and sheetrock walls and ceilings, these homes offer a level of sophistication that often surprises visitors. This resident notes that the interior feels like living in an upscale home, a significant advantage compared to older, smaller cinderblock homes in the St. Pete area that can be listed at much higher prices. The availability of reasonably priced new manufactured homes within the village presents an attractive option for buyers seeking quality and value.
The safety and durability of the manufactured homes are also highlighted. Built to withstand significant wind loads (Wind Zone 3 up to 110 mph, with Zone 4 options available for even higher wind resistance), these homes offer peace of mind, especially during hurricane season. The resident who shared their experience reported minimal damage (a few curled shingles) after recent hurricanes, and importantly, no flooding occurred in their home despite significant rainfall in the area. This suggests that Pelican Palms Village is situated in a location with good drainage and a low risk of flooding.
Beyond the quality of the homes, the sense of community at Pelican Palms Village is a significant draw. Multiple reviews emphasize a "very strong community with lots of get togethers." Residents enjoy social events like BBQ/Karaoke gatherings, fostering a friendly and engaging atmosphere. The park's management is also commended, with one resident describing the manager as a "great guy, super friendly." This positive management presence contributes to the overall well-being and satisfaction of the residents.
The location of Pelican Palms Village is another key benefit, situated just 3.5 miles from the popular St. Pete Pier. This proximity offers residents easy access to a wide array of dining, entertainment, and recreational opportunities that St. Petersburg has to offer, including beaches, museums, shopping, and cultural events. The convenience of this location, combined with the gated security of the community, provides a desirable balance of accessibility and peace of mind.
The community also offers practical amenities, such as lawn care included with residency, freeing up residents from this maintenance task. The pool and hot tub facilities are described as "wonderful," providing opportunities for relaxation and recreation within the community itself.
However, one recurring point of feedback is the ongoing remodel of the clubhouse. While one older review mentioned a three-year delay in its completion, more recent feedback still notes it as unfinished. Residents express that a completed clubhouse/community center would be a significant asset, particularly for senior residents who may rely on it as a social and exercise outlet, especially those without personal transportation. The completion of the clubhouse has the potential to elevate the community experience even further.
Looking towards the future, residents have proposed several additions to enhance the community, particularly in conjunction with the community center remodel. These ideas include:
- Offering fitness classes such as water aerobics, yoga, stretching, massage, and weight training.
- Providing facilities like a masseuse/chiropractor table.
- Adding recreational amenities such as a pickleball court and cornhole/horseshoe lanes (with safety considerations for plastic horseshoes).
- Creating a large outdoor community BBQ area.
The suggestion that many of these activities could initially be offered by Pelican Palms Village and then potentially run by a resident association highlights the community's proactive interest in shaping their living environment and fostering a vibrant social life. The implementation of these ideas could indeed contribute to the vision of Pelican Palms Village becoming a premium upscale gated community.
For local users searching for "rv parks near me" who might be open to the benefits of manufactured home living, Pelican Palms Village offers a compelling alternative. It provides the security and community feel often associated with well-managed parks, along with the potential for modern, high-quality housing at a reasonable price point compared to traditional real estate in the area. The ongoing improvements and the strong sense of community make it an attractive option for those seeking an active and engaging lifestyle near the amenities of St. Petersburg.

Pelican Palms Village Reviews
WILL PELICAN PALMS VILLAGE BECOME "THE" UPSCALE RVMH GATED COMMUNITY ST. PETE?With the remodel of the community center and the possibility of new pickleball courts will Pelican Palms village become a premium upscale gated community which is located only 3 miles from St. Pete?It certainly is possible. New manufactured homes are beautiful. I purchased one a little over a year ago in PPV. The home has 2B2B and has vaulted ceilings, crown molding, sheetrock ceilings and walls, etc. It feels like you are living in an upscale home. People that visit my home are stunned. In the St. Pete area, small cinderblock homes that were built in the 1960's are listed for $350-400K. The addition of new reasonably priced new manufactured home to the village would be attractive for both the buyer and PPV. The previous owners of the park were adding these new manufactured homes, and I was lucky enough to have purchased one.I have a friend that has an extremely expensive penthouse condo that liked my unit and PPV as a better living environment. Condo owners are looking at huge HOA fees and expenses these days. My friend looked at a few homes in PPV with a realtor, unfortunately no new homes were available. Are manufactured homes safe? My home was built for wind zone 3 (winds up to 110 mph and gusts to 130 mph). Wind zone 4 homes (winds up to 130-mph and gusts up to 150-mph) are also made. For the last 2 hurricanes the only damage that I had was a few curled shingles needed to be nailed down at the apex of my roof.Regarding flooding, during the last hurricane there was 5 inches of rain in one hour and 18 inches of rain in 24 hours and there was no flooding. I am not aware of the park ever flooding.Things I would like to see added to the park for the remodel:* Water aerobics, yoga, stretching, massage and weight training classes offered.* Masseuse/chiropractor table* Pickleball court and cornhole/horseshoe lane (for plastic horseshoes)* Large outdoor community BBQMany of these Activities should be initially offered by PPV and then run by an association. All of these ideas are not hard to implement and would improve the living experience of the residents and profitability for PPV.-------------------------------------------Old review:I like the park, and it is a gated community. The location is great - 3.5 miles from the St. Pete Pier. Also, I do not have to cut the grass. The pool and hot tub facilities are wonderful, and the people are nice. We have BBQ/Karaoke get-together's about once a month. My only complaint is that the clubhouse has been in the process of being remodeled for the last three years. Nobody has worked on finishing the clubhouse in the year that I have lived here. There are a lot of senior people that could really use the clubhouse as some do not have cars and really could use the clubhouse/community center as an exercise/social outlet. If the clubhouse was finished, I would give 5 stars.
Apr 13, 2025 · John ReegoI've lived in Pelican palms Village mobile home park for 2 years now. It's a great park, very strong community with lots of get togethers. The manager is a great guy, super friendly. Love the pool! Highly recommend this park
Sep 06, 2024 · Heidi HaywardI hope things have improved since I managed this place. I was a terribly difficult job. The people who live there are lovely but the owners are not. It was one of the worst experiences because the owner are just so arrogant. They claimed to have seen it all, but they are in their 30s. As a property manager you will have never seen it all. I just got a call from the cable company saying they have not paid the bill for the entire community. They fired me for not being there when I was literally right there and the day before everything closed because of Covid. I knew it was serious when they cancelled bingo.
Aug 21, 2023 · Kelly KerrI don't understand why neighbors can not live together without causing issues...For the years I lived here, I had not had issues with my neighbors...All of sudden. Lot 333, Marita Silva has to complain about my trees... there are no citrus fruit trees... none of my trees cause rodent or infestations... the skins and corn husks are natural fertilizers ....I have never complained about them smoking constantly like a chimney, possibly causing my secondary health issue.... why should I have to stand for that? I believe I should call or complain to the Health Department as well....They caused issues with the neighbor across the way from them... Maritza Silva violently slapped her .... I believe Maritza Silva need to go to Anger Management ....
Oct 14, 2024 · Edith SzetooRules and regulations are not being enforced management doesn’t want to get involved with residents concerns or problems and he doesn’t want to give you any information or other phone number to call to help with the situation.
