Pine Acres Campground RV Park Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" in the Aiken, South Carolina area? Pine Acres Campground RV Park, located at 205 Duke Dr, Aiken, SC 29801, USA, can be contacted at (803) 648-5715 or +1 803-648-5715. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of the RV park based on the limited but telling information available in recent customer reviews, to help local users and travelers make informed decisions.
When looking for "RV parks near me," potential guests consider various factors such as the environment, available services, features, and the overall atmosphere of the campground. Pine Acres Campground RV Park, based on the two provided reviews, presents a mixed picture with significant concerns raised by recent visitors. It's important to note that these reviews reflect individual experiences and may not encompass the views of all guests, but they offer valuable insights into the current state of the park.
One reviewer uses strong and negative language, referring to the park as "the ghetto" and citing several issues. These include the presence of "broke down cars unregistered vehicles junk piled up tarps on campers garbage piled on doorsteps." This paints a picture of a potentially unkempt and cluttered environment, which could be a major deterrent for travelers seeking a clean and organized RV park. The same reviewer also mentions concerns about safety and noise, stating, "Drunks and tweakers Another moved in up banging around all night. Not peaceful and quiet." This suggests a potentially disruptive and uncomfortable atmosphere for some guests.
Adding to the negative feedback, the reviewer also notes a significant sanitation issue: "P.S the sewer smell when it rains! Gag a maggot." This indicates a potentially recurring and unpleasant environmental problem that could severely impact the camping experience.
The second review offers a slightly more balanced perspective but still highlights significant drawbacks. This reviewer notes that the park has "mostly full timers and renters," which can influence the overall dynamic and feel of an RV park, often making it less geared towards short-term travelers. They also describe the campsites as "very narrow and full of tall weeds and sand," suggesting cramped conditions and a lack of meticulous site maintenance. The issue of the laundry facilities being "closed for repairs" and seemingly out of service for an extended period ("probably had been for a long time" based on the sign's condition) is another significant inconvenience for travelers, especially those on longer trips.
Furthermore, the second reviewer states, "Not really ideal for big rigs," indicating potential challenges for RVs with larger footprints in terms of maneuverability and site size. While they do acknowledge that "Debra was very pleasant" (presumably a staff member) and that "the weekly rate was very reasonable," these positives were not enough to outweigh the negatives, as they conclude, "We would not stay there again."
Based on these direct customer experiences, here's a detailed breakdown of Pine Acres Campground RV Park for local users searching for "RV parks near me":
Environment: The environment of Pine Acres Campground RV Park, as described by the reviewers, raises significant concerns:
- Cluttered and Unkempt: Reports of broken-down and unregistered vehicles, accumulated junk, tarps on campers, and garbage at doorsteps suggest a lack of aesthetic appeal and potential neglect in maintaining the grounds.
- Overgrown Campsites: Narrow sites filled with tall weeds and sand indicate poor site maintenance and potentially uncomfortable or unusable outdoor space.
- Sanitation Issues: The strong sewer smell reported during rain is a serious environmental and health concern that would significantly detract from the camping experience.
- Noise and Safety Concerns: Allegations of disruptive behavior from other residents, including excessive noise at night, and the presence of individuals described as "drunks and tweakers," raise concerns about the peacefulness and safety of the park.
- Predominance of Long-Term Residents: The park reportedly caters mostly to full-timers and renters, which can sometimes lead to a different atmosphere and fewer amenities geared towards short-term travelers.
Services: The limited information suggests potential shortcomings in the services provided:
- Laundry Facilities Out of Service: The prolonged closure of the laundry room for repairs is a major inconvenience for travelers needing these facilities.
- Management Concerns: While one staff member ("Debra") is mentioned positively, the overall picture painted by the first review ("New mgmt lol" followed by negative observations) suggests potential issues with the overall management and enforcement of park rules and standards.
- Limited Amenities for Short-Term Stays: The focus on long-term residents might mean fewer amenities or less emphasis on the needs of short-term RV travelers.
- Potentially Poor Site Maintenance: The description of weedy and sandy sites suggests a lack of attention to maintaining individual campsites.
Features: The reviews offer very few positive features and highlight several drawbacks:
- Reasonable Weekly Rate (Reported): The second reviewer mentions that the weekly rate was reasonable, which might be an attractive factor for budget-conscious travelers willing to overlook other issues.
- Pleasant Staff Member (Reported): The positive mention of Debra suggests that at least some staff members are friendly and helpful.
- Unsuitable for Big Rigs (Reported): The narrow sites make the park less suitable for larger recreational vehicles.
- Lack of Peaceful Environment (Reported): Noise issues and concerns about other residents detract from a relaxing stay.
- Poor Aesthetic Appeal (Reported): The cluttered and unkempt appearance of the park is a significant negative feature.
- Sanitation Problems (Reported): The sewer smell is a major negative environmental feature.
Promotional Information: Based on the overwhelmingly negative aspects highlighted in the recent reviews, it is unlikely that Pine Acres Campground RV Park would be actively promoting itself with positive claims that contradict these experiences. However, if they were to promote, they might focus on:
- Affordable Rates: The "cheap cheap though" comment in one review and the "very reasonable" weekly rate mentioned in the other suggest that price might be a primary selling point.
- Location in Aiken: Proximity to the attractions and amenities of Aiken, SC, could be mentioned, although the reviews don't elaborate on this.
- Long-Term Stay Options: The park's focus on full-timers might be promoted to those seeking longer-term, budget-friendly accommodation.
- Friendly Staff: The positive mention of Debra could be used to emphasize customer service.
However, any promotional efforts would need to address the significant negative issues raised in the recent feedback to maintain credibility.
Objective Summary Based on Available Information:
Pine Acres Campground RV Park in Aiken, SC, appears to be an RV park with a significant number of long-term residents. Recent customer reviews paint a concerning picture of an unkempt and potentially unsafe environment with narrow, poorly maintained campsites, sanitation issues (sewer smell), and disruptive noise. While the weekly rates are reported to be reasonable and at least one staff member is considered pleasant, these positives seem to be overshadowed by the numerous negative aspects. The park is also noted as being less than ideal for large RVs.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Aiken, SC, Pine Acres Campground RV Park might appeal to budget-conscious travelers willing to tolerate potentially substandard conditions. However, the reported issues with cleanliness, safety, noise, and site maintenance should be carefully considered. It is strongly recommended that potential guests seek more recent reviews or, ideally, visit the park in person to assess the current environment and facilities before making a reservation.
The significant negative feedback suggests that Pine Acres Campground RV Park may not be a suitable option for those seeking a peaceful, clean, and well-maintained RV park experience in the Aiken area. Travelers with larger rigs or those prioritizing comfort and cleanliness may want to explore alternative "RV parks near me" with more positive recent reviews.

Jan 12, 2025 · Camie JohnsonThis park has mostly full timers and renters. The sites are very narrow and full of tall weeds and sand. The laundry was closed for repairs and according to the condition of the sign on the door, probably had been for a long time. Not really ideal for big rigs. But Debra was very pleasant snd the weekly rate was very reasonable. We would not stay there again.

Jan 04, 2025 · Samuel StokesThis is a small park right off the highway. The hostess is a sweetheart and was very friendly and helpful. Although the location is convenient, the park could definitely use some sprucing up. There are mainly permanent residents filling the spaces, and most of the campers are older and not very well maintained. The roads through the park are terrible......I would be afraid to drive on them in a small car due to the huge ruts and potholes everywhere. We had a nice site under a large shade tree, but we had a terrible problem with sewer flies the entire time we stayed here....literally hundreds of them a day in our camper. I'm not sure if it is something to do with their sewer system or water system, but the day we left and moved to a different park, the flies disappeared completely. Overall, I just think the owners need to update and upgrade their park a little to make it more pleasant for campers.
Aug 30, 2023 · Michele PappagalloWe stayed a month & Miss Deborah was so welcoming & helpful. And she loved the Hawaiian food my wife made for her. Yes, it is a rustic park, the lanes are not smooth, the trailers are close but the fellow rv'ers were open & kind. We experienced not "issues" and loved the price. Definitely will stay again. Mahalo
