Pine Island RV & Marina Reviews
We scheduled a 3 day stay in mid January but weather took a turn and we were able to reschedule for mid February. When we arrived in our 24’ motorhome towing a pontoon, we were told there was nowhere to dock the boat due to low water levels. We begrudgingly unhooked the boat because we would have to break camp every time we wanted to use the boat to trailer down the boat ramp and back out. Went back into the store/office and one of the employees said we could use his slip close to the dock which should be deep enough for our pontoon, and offered to use his truck to drop it in the water. He also pulled it out at the end of our stay. Well it was shallow but doable. The restrooms were just fine, with showers. The store was well stocked with items and bait. The views were outstanding. We travelled to the other side of the lake to Silver Glen Run and saw Manatees and it was very pretty over there. Not busy mid week.Nice level spot with fire pit and picnic table. Fished from shore. Caught perch. Lots of wildlife.5 stars for the site, not rooms.
Feb 24, 2025 · Matthew MartinWe have stayed here twice. Beautiful.Staff is the best, Sunsets are priceless. Facilities are well maintained. I highly recommend this campground for RVs of any size. They should charge more!
May 04, 2025 · Scott DonaldsonSo it doesn't really matter about my review. The place is 95% full on the weekend and 80% full on the weekdays. But so you know the place needs attention. The photos online are not reflective of the camp.It has one of the best sunset views you can experience, however there's not an area set aside for the interior campers to view the sunset . Only the camp lots on the lake have a view, so you have to trespass through and get a glaring look or hope one of the lake spots is vacant. It's one of the quietest and luxuriously darkest camps you'll ever stay in. My biggest complaint was the roadways and camp areas were nothing but sticky sand and dust. We were covered in dust and dragged black sandy dust into the RV every morning. The picture shows wonderful coral gravel roads and camp lots, absolutely not. Another consideration is the pedestals and sewer connection are random. Some sewer connections require some engineering and three lengths of hose.
Feb 25, 2025 · David SmileyMy favorite place to stay while in Florida. We baked our camper up to the beautiful lake. Wildlife was awesome here. Sunsets were beautiful. There were many alligator sightings, large turtles, a lot of birds. We rode our bikes around this quiet area. A marina nearby rents boats cheap. The washrooms were clean and available.Note- some lots did not have sewer hookups. We didn't mind because location and views of lake. We dumped into a honey wagon as needed. This was a very quiet park. We had motorcycles and loved the area for riding. Daytona beach area rides were great.
Mar 06, 2025 · Barbara WithamBeautiful lake view! Lots are close together, clean with friendly staff. We made day trips to Silver Springs State Park, and St. Augustine. Daytona Beach is a convenient drive away, as well.
