Plantation Estates Mobile Home Introduce
Welcome to Plantation Estates Mobile Home, located at 16265 John Morris Rd in Fort Myers, Florida. For local users searching for "rv parks near me" or information about mobile home communities in the Fort Myers area, Plantation Estates offers a unique perspective based on recent events and resident experiences.
According to one resident's review, Plantation Estates Mobile Home is currently in a state of significant change following the impact of Hurricane Ian. The reviewer, who resides within the park, notes a substantial decrease in occupancy within their section, with only 2 residents remaining out of 12 lots. They further indicate low occupancy in the other two sections of the park, with a combined total of 6 residents. This suggests that the park sustained considerable damage from the hurricane, leading to the displacement of many residents. The future of the park is described as "still pending as the outcome," implying ongoing recovery efforts and uncertainty about its long-term status and potential restoration to its pre-hurricane condition.
In contrast, another review offers a different perspective, highlighting a positive aspect of the community's role in assisting those displaced by Hurricane Irma. This review mentions that a family member who lost their home due to Hurricane Irma was moved to Plantation Estates by FEMA. The visitor described the neighborhood as "absolutely beautiful" and commended the effort to provide housing for those who had lost their homes, allowing them to "regain traction in life." The reviewer also noted the "absolutely beautiful" RVs present, which contributed to a welcoming and home-like atmosphere.
These contrasting reviews paint a complex picture of Plantation Estates Mobile Home. While one resident's account focuses on the current challenges and reduced occupancy following Hurricane Ian, the other highlights the park's past role in providing refuge and a sense of community for those displaced by a previous hurricane. It's important for prospective residents or RVers to consider both perspectives when evaluating the park.
Given the information available, it's challenging to provide a comprehensive overview of the current services and features of Plantation Estates Mobile Home. The significant impact of Hurricane Ian has likely affected the infrastructure and amenities that were previously available. It is reasonable to assume that recovery efforts are underway, but the extent of these efforts and the current operational status of the park are not detailed in the provided reviews.
Historically, mobile home and RV parks typically offer a range of services and features to accommodate their residents and guests. These can include:
- Individual lots for mobile homes with utility hookups (water, electricity, sewer)
- RV sites with similar utility connections
- Common areas and potentially recreational facilities (the nature and availability of these at Plantation Estates are currently uncertain due to the hurricane's impact)
- On-site management (the current level of on-site management and the services they can provide may be affected by the recovery process)
- Basic infrastructure such as roads and lighting (the condition of these may vary depending on the extent of hurricane damage)
The review mentioning "absolutely beautiful RVs" suggests that the park may have accommodated RVs and that these RVs provided a comfortable living space for those temporarily residing there. However, the current availability of RV sites for new occupants is unknown.
Regarding the environment of Plantation Estates, the description of it being "absolutely beautiful" by one reviewer indicates that, at least prior to Hurricane Ian's impact, the park possessed an appealing aesthetic. The extent to which this beauty has been preserved or is being restored is unclear. The significant reduction in residents in certain sections, as noted by the other reviewer, may have altered the overall atmosphere of the community.
Promotional information is not provided in the given reviews. Any potential promotions or special offers would likely depend on the current recovery phase and the park's efforts to attract new residents or RVers. It is advisable to contact the park directly for the most up-to-date information on availability and any incentives being offered.
For local users actively searching for "rv parks near me" in Fort Myers, Plantation Estates Mobile Home presents a situation requiring careful consideration. The park has seemingly played a positive role in housing those displaced by past hurricanes, and some areas may still retain an appealing environment. However, the significant impact of Hurricane Ian, leading to reduced occupancy and an uncertain future as described by a current resident, cannot be ignored. Potential residents or RVers should directly contact Plantation Estates Mobile Home at (614) 264-0605 or +1 614-264-0605 to inquire about the current status of the park, the availability of lots or RV sites, the condition of the facilities, and any ongoing recovery efforts. This direct communication will be crucial in obtaining the most accurate and timely information to make an informed decision.
In conclusion, Plantation Estates Mobile Home in Fort Myers offers a complex narrative. While it has served as a haven for those displaced by Hurricane Irma and was once described as "absolutely beautiful," it has also been significantly impacted by Hurricane Ian, resulting in reduced occupancy and an uncertain path forward. Local users searching for "rv parks near me" should approach Plantation Estates with awareness of its current situation and directly engage with the park management to understand its present environment, services, and future prospects.

Plantation Estates Mobile Home Reviews
This is where I live. It's a shell of what it used to be. There are 3 sections of this park. In mine, there are only 2 residents out of 12 lots. No others. In the other 2 areas, 6 combined. It's still pending as the outcome. IAN destroyed this park. I hope it gets returned to how it was.
Mar 25, 2024 · Brian DaubAbsolutely beautiful. A family member that lost their home due to hurricane Irma was moved here by fema. We took a visit to ft Meyer's for Xmas and had a chance to see this neighborhood. It's a wonderful thing that they have done by allowing those that have lost to regain traction in life by living here. There RVs are absolutely beautiful and makes you feel right at home
