Iona Ranch Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" in the Fort Myers, Florida area, and considering options that are in the process of rebuilding after hurricane damage? Iona Ranch, located at 16295 Davis Rd, Fort Myers, FL 33908, USA, presents a situation where recovery is underway and RV hookups are available. However, recent customer feedback includes a significant negative experience with the management, which potential visitors should be aware of. This introduction aims to provide an objective overview of Iona Ranch based on the limited available reviews, highlighting both the recovery efforts and the reported management issues for local users considering this location.
One piece of positive information from a recent customer review is that Iona Ranch "is in a recovery state after the hurricanes but is being rebuild." This suggests that efforts are being made to restore and improve the property following storm damage. For local users seeking "RV parks near me," especially those who may be understanding of post-hurricane conditions and willing to support a community in recovery, Iona Ranch might be an option to consider. The fact that rebuilding is taking place indicates a potential for future improvements and a return to a more stable state.
The same reviewer also notes that "All hook ups are there for RVs." This is a crucial piece of information for RV travelers, indicating that essential utilities such as water, electricity, and sewer are available at the RV sites within Iona Ranch. For those searching for "RV parks near me" and prioritizing functional hookups, this is a fundamental requirement that Iona Ranch appears to meet, even during its recovery phase.
However, a significant concern is raised in another detailed review regarding an extremely negative interaction with the park's manager, identified as Brenda. The reviewer, who is handicapped and uses a rollator, recounts a deeply unpleasant experience when they politely requested assistance with a mud hole that was obstructing access to a handicap ramp. The reviewer alleges that the manager responded with yelling and offensive language directed at them and their mother, using the phrase "You people." The reviewer explicitly states they did not curse or repeat the offensive language but emphasized that the interaction was "epic" in its negativity.
Furthermore, the same reviewer describes another instance where they attempted to mail something, and the manager allegedly came out and screamed at them, again using the phrase "you take that mail out thats not for 'you people.'" This incident further underscores a pattern of highly unprofessional and allegedly discriminatory behavior from the manager, as reported by this customer. The reviewer also mentions that a flag was up, implying they believed it was appropriate to mail something.
The reviewer concluded by expressing relief at leaving Iona Ranch ("Glad to be out of there"). This strong negative sentiment and the specific details of the alleged interactions with the manager are serious red flags that local users searching for "RV parks near me" should carefully consider. While the park may be in a state of recovery and offering RV hookups, the reported management behavior could significantly impact the quality of stay and the overall experience.
The third review simply consists of the letter "A," offering no substantive information about the park's environment, services, or features. Therefore, the primary insights into Iona Ranch come from the other two contrasting reviews.
Based on the available information, the environment of Iona Ranch is currently in a state of recovery following hurricane damage. While RV hookups are functional, the overall aesthetics and infrastructure may still be undergoing repair and restoration. Potential visitors should be prepared for a park that may not be in pristine condition and may still show signs of recent storm impact. However, the ongoing rebuilding efforts suggest a potential for improvement over time.
Information regarding specific services and amenities beyond RV hookups is limited. Given that it is also a mobile home park, there may be communal facilities such as laundry rooms or common areas, but these are not mentioned in the provided reviews. Potential RV guests should inquire about the availability of specific amenities relevant to their needs when contacting the park.
Promotional information is not explicitly present in the reviews. However, Iona Ranch could potentially promote its availability of RV hookups during the recovery phase, its ongoing rebuilding efforts as a sign of future improvement, and its location in the Fort Myers area. However, any promotional messaging would need to address or be balanced against the serious negative feedback regarding the park's management to maintain objectivity and transparency.
For local users considering Iona Ranch as one of their "RV parks near me," it is strongly recommended to contact the park directly at (239) 466-0440 or +1 239-466-0440 to inquire about the current state of the park, the availability and condition of RV sites and amenities, and to understand the management policies and approach. Given the significant negative feedback regarding the manager, it would be prudent to have direct communication to assess the current situation and determine if the park meets individual needs and expectations.
In conclusion, Iona Ranch in Fort Myers, FL, is a mobile home and RV park in a state of recovery after hurricanes, offering functional RV hookups. However, potential visitors should be aware of a recent review detailing highly negative and unprofessional interactions with the park's manager. While rebuilding efforts are underway, the reported management issues are a serious consideration for anyone looking for "RV parks near me" and warrant careful investigation before making a decision to stay at Iona Ranch.

Aug 01, 2024 · Solar Thermal Shield RoofingHave been living there about a month now and all is good so far.I hope the pool and laundry facility can reopen while I am there. Hurricane Ian really wrecked us all along our coastline and Island communities and our lives but we will not give up down here we are strong, and we will build it back and work together for as long as it takes to do so.I am grateful for all the people who have been apart of helping us recover from the tragedy of our lives and our homes that were lost.Iona Ranch is a Blessing and I am thankful to be able to stay here.God is Great!!
Aug 07, 2023 · Denise NavarroA wonderful, small, over 55 community. Has a great (albeit small) pool, shuffleboard, pond with bench to sit by the pond, laundry, free use of dumpster. Units are spaced a good distance apart with nice lawns, trees, birds.
Apr 15, 2021 · Helen Mongan-RallisBooked a 10 day stay two months ago. Paid in full. Our reservation was cancelled yesterday, five days before arrival, with no explanation. Not exactly easy to rebook elsewhere in 5 days. Renter beware I would say!
