Quail Run RV Resort Introduce
For local users in the Wesley Chapel, Florida area searching for "RV parks near me" that offer a welcoming atmosphere and a connection with nature, Quail Run RV Resort, located at 6946 Old Pasco Rd, Wesley Chapel, FL 33544, USA, presents an interesting option. This resort has received positive feedback regarding its staff, residents, and environment, although it's important to note a specific policy regarding pet sizes. You can reach them for inquiries or reservations at (813) 973-0999 or their mobile number +1 813-973-0999.
One long-term resident who moved into Quail Run RV Resort in August 2024 shared a highly positive experience from the outset. They specifically praised Donna, with whom they interacted in July prior to moving in, describing her as "so wonderful and pleasant to talk to." Donna's helpfulness extended to explaining the amenities available at the resort and showing available sites, ultimately leading the reviewer to find a site they were very happy with. This positive initial interaction suggests a friendly and helpful management team.
Adding to the unique charm of Quail Run RV Resort is the occasional sighting of a "resident alligator" in the pond on the property. For nature enthusiasts, this could be a fascinating and memorable aspect of staying at the resort, offering a glimpse of Florida's local wildlife in a controlled environment. However, it's important for visitors to maintain a safe distance and respect the natural habitat of the alligator.
The maintenance of the resort is also highlighted in the positive review, with the maintenance workers being described as "extremely friendly and helpful" and readily available to assist with any needs. This level of service contributes significantly to the comfort and convenience of residents and visitors alike. Prompt and friendly maintenance can address issues quickly and ensure a pleasant living environment.
The positive experience extends to the office and store staff, who are also described as "friendly and helpful." Having approachable and supportive staff in these key areas can enhance the overall sense of community and make it easier for residents and visitors to access information and services. The reviewer also noted that "the people that stay here are all super friendly," reinforcing the idea of a welcoming and sociable community within Quail Run RV Resort.
However, it is crucial to consider all feedback to provide a balanced perspective. One reviewer expressed significant disappointment with a specific policy regarding pet sizes. They stated that the resort "claims their insurance disallows dogs over 35 lbs," which they found to be a "completely arbitrary restriction." As owners of an 85 lb pure Lab retriever known for its friendly demeanor, they were particularly disappointed by this limitation, especially as they had not encountered such a weight restriction in their previous travels. This policy could be a significant deterrent for RVers who travel with larger dog breeds.
The reviewer contrasted their well-behaved large dog with "poorly trained small dogs barking at him," suggesting that size alone may not be an accurate indicator of a pet's suitability for an RV park community. This highlights the potential frustration that such blanket weight restrictions can cause for responsible pet owners with larger breeds.
This negative feedback regarding the pet policy is a crucial piece of information for local users searching for "RV parks near me" who travel with dogs exceeding 35 lbs. It is essential to verify the current pet policies of Quail Run RV Resort directly with the management before making any plans to stay there. This single policy could significantly impact the decision for a large segment of the RVing community.
Despite the concern raised about the dog weight restriction, the positive feedback emphasizes the friendly staff, welcoming residents, well-maintained environment, and the unique experience of potentially seeing a resident alligator. This suggests that for individuals or families without large dogs, or those willing to adhere to the pet size limitations, Quail Run RV Resort could offer a pleasant and engaging community experience in the Wesley Chapel area.
To gain a comprehensive understanding of all the amenities and services offered at Quail Run RV Resort, local users are encouraged to contact them directly at (813) 973-0999 or +1 813-973-0999. Inquire about the types of RV sites available, hookup options, on-site facilities (such as laundry, restrooms, recreational areas, etc.), and any specific policies, including the current pet policy and its enforcement. It would also be beneficial to ask about any community events or activities that might contribute to the friendly atmosphere mentioned in the reviews.
While no specific promotional information was included in the provided reviews, direct contact with the resort might reveal any current specials or discounts for local residents or longer stays. Given the positive comments about the staff, they are likely to provide detailed and helpful information to prospective guests.
In conclusion, Quail Run RV Resort in Wesley Chapel, Florida, offers a community atmosphere characterized by friendly staff and residents, well-maintained grounds, and the unique opportunity to observe local wildlife. However, potential visitors, especially those traveling with dogs, should be aware of a reported insurance-related weight restriction of 35 lbs for pets. For those who meet this criterion or are traveling without large dogs, Quail Run RV Resort appears to be a welcoming and enjoyable option when searching for "RV parks near me" in the Wesley Chapel area.

Quail Run RV Resort Reviews
I moved in here August 15th 2024. I meet Donna in July and she was so wonderful and pleasant to talk to. Donna explained everything that was available here and shoed me sites available. I couldn't ask for a better site. Even see the resident alligator once in awhile in the pond. All of the maintenance workers are extremely friendly and helpful if you need anything at all. The staff in the office/ Store are are friendly and helpful. The people that stay here are all super friendly. Thank you all
Apr 03, 2025 · Bill ColeThis resort claims their insurance disallows dogs over 35 lbs. A completely arbitrary restriction. Our 85 lb pure Lab retriever wags his tail at everyone and doesn't bark at the poorly trained small dogs barking at him. Really disappointing RV park. We haven't encountered this weight restriction anywhere we've traveled.
Mar 30, 2025 · Don MuellerThe RV park itself was extremely nice. The pool was exceptional. Overall the staff in the office were friendly and helpful. I had two issues while staying there. 1. The entry gate was in view of the office and the general store, but they rarely would open the gate knowing that they could see you sitting there, and my car was extremely rememberable. It’s a sports car that turns heads. 2. Apparently there is an old blue haired lady patrol. They absolutely outright lied about a community water shortage that I was able to verify on Google was an outright lie. They had potable water and non-potable water. I was being very conservative in my non-potable water usage, and was using by far less water than I’m sure they were using watering their plants, etc. It wasn’t okay for me to use the non-potable water to wash my windows on the motorhome or the vehicle after traveling hundreds of miles through grimy weather conditions. The old blue haired ladies riding around on their golf carts need to get a life.3. Dogs can only be a certain size. If your dog barks, you get fined. The penalty is doubled for each violation, and after the third time you’re asked to leave the rv park. I haven’t been around hardly any dogs that do not bark. There wasn’t a policy for exotic birds though. Someone around from us had one, and it was by far louder than any barking dog.Overall, Quail Run RV Resort is extremely anal retentive in their policies, and it’s too bad, because the grounds itself were very well maintained and nice. So if you can deal with the issues that I have mentioned, then gitter done and make any future reservations knowing this.
Jan 22, 2025 · Randy GrayToday I stopped at the convenience store on site. I was immediately greeted by employees and asked if I needed help. I was shopping for a couple frozen dinners and some other items and as usual found more than I came in for. The store is always clean and very well stocked. It is easy to get in and out and back on your way home. The prices are fair. You can also get beer, wine and lotto tickets! I didn't go on the property but have been there several times. The grounds are always very well maintained. It has a lot of RV sites and lots of amenities. The pool is very nice, and always very clean. There are also activities available during certain seasons, including dinners which you can buy a ticket for. I highly recommend Quail Run RV Resort!
Apr 24, 2024 · Candy RudolphWhen checking in Donna was great. 5 Stars! When leaving the worker , an older woman was a grouch.I needed propane and she ran out screaming because I had to flip a 40 ft rig around because thecampground’s hose wasn’t long enough. Not my fault. She snapped quick, might want to fire her as she isn’t welcoming to RV people. Spent $388 and got cranked at.I stayed there last year but won’t again.I travel to relax , not for an employee to yell at me.
