Raymond RV Park Introduce
If you're searching for "RV parks near me" in the Raymond, Washington area, Raymond RV Park, located at 1875 Ocean Ave, Raymond, WA 98577, USA, is one option to consider. Customer reviews offer a mixed perspective on this park, highlighting both positive and negative aspects that potential visitors should be aware of when making their decision.
One positive aspect noted by a recent visitor is the park's accommodating nature for late check-ins. This can be a significant benefit for travelers who may arrive later than expected. The same reviewer also pointed out that while the two available transient spots lacked sewer hookups, the management was upfront about this limitation. Furthermore, the park provides an easily accessible on-site dump station, which is a practical amenity for RVers without direct sewer connections. The reviewer also praised the low rates and the quiet atmosphere of the park, recommending it for those seeking a peaceful place to recharge and enjoy a great sunset. The host was described as "super nice" during the morning payment process, contributing to a positive overall impression for this particular stay.
However, another review presents a contrasting experience from a repeat visitor. This guest had enjoyed their stay at Raymond RV Park "years ago" but found their recent visit to be different. A key change noted was that "all the good sites are filled by full timers." This suggests that the availability of prime spots for transient travelers may be limited. The reviewer's experience was confined to a choice of two sites in the back, which were described as having "30 amp portable power and long hoses for water." This setup might be less convenient or ideal for some RV setups compared to full hookup sites.
A significant concern raised in the second review was the issue of site drainage. The reviewer recounted that they "lucked out" by choosing the site they did, as the other available site was "under 3" of water" after a night of rain. This indicates potential drainage problems in at least some areas of the park, which could lead to unpleasant and unusable sites during wet weather conditions. Additionally, this reviewer found the park to be "seriously overpriced at $40 cash only," advising others to "Skip this place." The cash-only payment requirement could also be inconvenient for some travelers who prefer to use credit or debit cards.
Considering these two recent reviews, Raymond RV Park offers a quiet environment and accommodating late check-in, with a helpful host. However, potential drawbacks include the limited availability of good sites for transient visitors due to long-term residents, the possibility of no sewer hookups at transient spots (though a dump station is available), potential drainage issues in some sites, and concerns about the pricing being too high, especially given the limitations and the cash-only payment policy.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me" in Raymond, WA, it is important to weigh these factors. If a quiet and basic overnight stop with late check-in flexibility is your priority and you don't require sewer hookups, Raymond RV Park might be suitable, especially if the rates are indeed low as mentioned by one reviewer (though the other found them overpriced). The presence of a dump station is a practical advantage in such cases.
However, if you are expecting full hookup sites, especially sewer, or if you are traveling during potentially rainy seasons and are concerned about site drainage, Raymond RV Park might not be the best choice based on the more critical review. The limited availability of good sites due to full-time residents also suggests that transient travelers may be relegated to less desirable locations within the park. The $40 cash-only rate mentioned by one reviewer, deemed overpriced, is another significant consideration for budget-conscious travelers.
There is no specific promotional information available in the provided text. Potential visitors might want to inquire about current rates, site availability (specifically asking about full hookup options and transient versus long-term sites), and payment methods when contacting the park directly at (360) 942-3422 or +1 360-942-3422.
In conclusion, Raymond RV Park in Raymond, WA, offers a quiet atmosphere and accommodating late check-in, with a helpful host. However, potential guests should be aware that transient sites may not have sewer hookups, and drainage could be an issue in some areas. The availability of desirable sites might be limited due to full-time residents, and recent feedback suggests that the pricing might be considered high for the amenities offered, with a cash-only payment policy. It is recommended to contact the park directly for the most current information on rates, site availability, and policies before making a reservation.

Raymond RV Park Reviews
Very accommodating for late check in. The 2 transient spots that were available didn't have sewer. But they let us know ahead of time, and there is place to dump on the property that is easy to access. Rates are low, and it was nice and quiet. Host was super nice in the morning when we paid for the spot. Highly recommended if you want a quiet spot to recharge, and see a great sunset.
Sep 30, 2019 · Tom RaiderWe stayed here years ago and enjoyed it. Different this time, all the good sites are filled by full timers. We had our choice of two sites in back on 30 amp portable power and long hoses for water. We lucked out, when it rained all night, the site we didn't chose was under 3" of water. Seriously overpriced at $40 cash only. Skip this place
Dec 11, 2022 · Steve ScownThis was a nice private rv park. The host was very pleasant and assisted us with a last minute reservation on our way further South. Appreciated it a lot since we were caught in a storm. The view in the morning was great with a nearby trail to walk the pups. It's not huge or very private, but all occupants were respectful and very worth the price. Just ensure you bring cash. We will make an effort to stay here more in the future. P. S. We liked the small town feel of Raymond.
Oct 13, 2020 · Lorenzo Walker (ihicmys)Cool place. They will always make room for you if you need a place to crash. We were parked up next to the largest catamaran we’ve ever seen.Super nice people.
Aug 06, 2023 · Alex KunzeGreat spot on the river to catch the cool afternoon breezes. No services other than the basics- full hookups at 10 of the 12 sites and a dump station. Inconsistent Internet but that seems to be common locally. Good owner/managers but not the place for those wanting resort type amenities. Very laid back- one of our favorite RV parks.
