This RV park is amazing. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. Richard and Debbie the park managers are the best, they were always there to help and assist in anyway possible. Steve the maintenance man is hard working, friendly and quite simply, I cannot say enough about him ,Richard and Debbie. The park is clean and well maintained. We met so many people and and had get-to-getters frequently. We stayed 2 months and had the best spot, thanks Debbie. The laundry & shower facilities were very clean and accessible.Walking distance to The Guadalupe River where you could relax , kayak or fish. Park is very close to Gonzales and attractions. We will be back.Bobby & Deborah Barbera
Jan 02, 2025 · Deborah BarberaWe stayed at River Acres for one night on our way south. This was the only park around the area who had a website to reserve online. Sunday, we were tired and just wanted to be done for the day. This is a nice park, a tad difficult to find your way in, but eventually Debbie and Zane came to our rescue! Staff was REALLY great! Our only issue with the park is it truly seems like a full-time park, which is not what the website leads you to believe. They are definitely working on the park. It’s convenient to the highway and it’s a nice overnight stop. I did get to do some laundry which was “ok”. Would I stay again, probably NOT for $53.00. Fee for booking online and using your card.
Oct 21, 2024 · Paul Sally CrouserParadise found - when a happy accident becomes your new best-kept secret. My husband and I were just looking for a relatively local park to take our trailer for a trial "reacquiantence" after an adventureless winter. I was lazy and haphazard in my research. All I remembered to care about was SHADE and preferably water nearby. I cannot believe what I found. I really shouldn't tell you. But, sit down.River Acres is a vast landscape of well-kept, perfectly level gravel trailer pads, equipped with all the stuff we all have come to expect; wifi (that works), fire-pit, all the amps, full hook-ups...all the things with which an RV rambler with discriminating tastes assumes to be presented.River Acres is that and so much more. It is all those things, but also it is poised under a canopy of mature pecan and oak trees, well-worn winding boardwalks that lead you through untouched and wild nature (allowed to stay just a little bit ominent, like it was when we were kids - full of mysterious and endless possibilities). The park is well-kept, yet yields respect to the magnitude and grace of the wild. The river is lovely and pristine. St. Augustine grass lines the shore, with several inlets into the canopy which contain picnic tables, grills, hammocks, kayaks, and, canoes. There is fishing off the docks, pathways through the woods, and permanent residents (property managers) who care for the park, grow gardens, and give fishing tips. There just are no words for the beauty or the magic of this hidden treasure. "Come and Take It", if you think you can handle serenity, and good old-fashioned hospitality. The management obviously deeply cares about this property, their guests, and their employees. Everyone is happy and kind. However, it would be better for me if you didn't come here, because then I will have a better chance of my favorite site being available, W1. (Sites W1-W5 are the ones closest to the walkways to the river and all share a deep and shady lawn - with plenty of room for everyone to spread out and never feel crowded.)
Apr 28, 2024 · Lenicia GordonFound this place looking for RV parks on the lower Guadalupe River (east of I-35). They have quite a bit of almost private riverfront that is easy to swim in and the fishing is good, too. The rates are very reasonable and park is very well maintained and has all the amenities you need for a short term or longer term stay (showers, laundry, full hook up, etc.) There are also kayaks available for excursions up or down river. We’ll definitely revisit.
Oct 13, 2024 · Michael CrockettMy family and I just stayed at River Acres for 3 days and enjoyed every minute! The manager Annette and her Husband made us feel right at home and we're very helpful. The bathrooms and laundry room were clean and close by. The landscape and mature trees were beautiful. The River was AMAZING and a lot of fun for the whole family. We got to fish, swim, jump on the oversized float, paddle board and kayak . The kids spent time digging up shells and playing volleyball. We enjoyed the quiet and peaceful park. We made memories that will last a life time and look forward to visiting again soon! Thank you again River Acres RV Park!
