River City RV Park Introduce
When searching for "RV parks near me" in the Richmond, Texas area, River City RV Park, located at 5121 FM 762 Rd, Richmond, TX 77469, USA, presents itself as a potential option. To gather more detailed information and assess its suitability for your needs, you can contact the park directly at (281) 341-1494 or their mobile number +1 281-341-1494. These contact details will allow you to inquire about current availability, rates, specific amenities, and any current promotional offers.
The available customer reviews offer mixed perspectives on River City RV Park, providing valuable insights into the experiences of past guests. One reviewer found the park to be "Decent enough place if you're in town for work." This suggests that the park might cater to individuals needing temporary accommodation for employment in the area. The reviewer also mentioned uncertainty about Wi-Fi availability, indicating that this is a detail prospective guests should verify directly with the park management. Interestingly, this reviewer noted the park's seemingly incongruous location amidst "multi million dollar mansions" along the approach from Highway 59, highlighting a potentially unique or unexpected environment. Their personal experience of sleeping well during a four-night stay suggests a generally quiet atmosphere, at least during their visit.
In stark contrast, another reviewer reported a significantly negative experience. They described being placed in a site where the sewer line ran daily and expressed dissatisfaction with the park's initial refusal to relocate them to a different site away from the sewer overflow. This prolonged exposure to moisture from the underlying sewer line allegedly led to the softening of their trailer floor. The situation escalated to the point where the reviewer filed a legal claim ("LS") against the park for the damages, which they claim the park is denying, despite having photographic evidence of the before and after conditions. This review raises serious concerns about the park's infrastructure, site assignment practices, and responsiveness to addressing and resolving significant issues reported by guests.
Considering these contrasting reviews, it is essential for anyone contemplating a stay at River City RV Park to carefully weigh these experiences. The park might be adequate for short work-related stays for some, but the serious infrastructure issues reported by another guest cannot be ignored. Potential problems with sewer systems and the park's handling of resulting damages are significant red flags that warrant thorough investigation.
To provide a more comprehensive picture, we can consider the typical services and features that many RV parks offer. However, given the limited and conflicting review information, it is crucial to verify the availability and quality of these aspects directly with River City RV Park:
- **RV Site Types and Hookups:** RV parks typically offer various site types, ranging from basic water and electric hookups to full hookups (water, electricity, and sewer). The size and layout of the sites can also vary to accommodate different RV sizes. It is imperative to inquire about the specific types of hookups available at each site within River City RV Park, particularly in light of the reported sewer issues. Understanding the amperage of the electrical hookups and the reliability of water pressure is also important.
- **Wi-Fi Availability:** As one reviewer was unsure about Wi-Fi, this is a crucial amenity to confirm if it is important for your stay. Inquire about the coverage area and any associated costs or limitations.
- **Restroom and Shower Facilities:** Most RV parks provide communal restrooms and showers. The cleanliness and maintenance of these facilities are important factors to consider. It would be wise to ask about the number of facilities available and their upkeep.
- **Laundry Facilities:** On-site laundry facilities are a significant convenience for both short-term and long-term RVers. Verify if River City RV Park offers washers and dryers for guest use.
- **Park Environment and Amenities:** The overall environment of the RV park, including the layout, spacing between sites, landscaping, and general cleanliness, contributes to the guest experience. While one reviewer noted the unusual juxtaposition with nearby mansions, the internal environment of the park itself is more relevant to RVers. Inquire about any specific amenities such as picnic tables, fire rings, or recreational areas. The negative review concerning the sewer issue suggests potential problems with the park's infrastructure maintenance.
- **Park Management and Responsiveness:** The negative review highlighting the park's alleged lack of responsiveness to a significant infrastructure problem and subsequent damage claim raises serious concerns about the management's attention to guest issues. When contacting the park, pay attention to the professionalism and helpfulness of the staff.
- **Location and Accessibility:** The location in Richmond, TX, and its accessibility to major roads (like FM 762 Rd and nearby Highway 59) are important for ease of travel and access to local services and attractions. Researching the surrounding area can provide insights into nearby grocery stores, gas stations, and emergency services.
Given the nature of the reviews, it is unlikely that River City RV Park is currently promoting any special offers or discounts. The focus for potential guests should be on thoroughly investigating the reported issues and assessing whether the park can meet their basic needs and provide a safe and functional environment.
For anyone considering a stay at River City RV Park, the following steps are strongly recommended:
- Contact the park management directly at (281) 341-1494 or +1 281-341-1494 to inquire about the sewer infrastructure, Wi-Fi availability, site conditions, and their policies for addressing and resolving guest issues.
- Specifically ask about the site where the sewer overflow occurred and whether that issue has been permanently resolved and if any other sites have similar concerns.
- Request detailed information about the RV site options, hookups available at each site, and the overall layout of the park.
- Inquire about the availability and condition of restrooms, showers, and laundry facilities.
- If possible, request to see the specific site you would be assigned before making a reservation.
- Consider looking for alternative RV parks in the Richmond, TX area to compare amenities, reviews, and overall reputation.
In conclusion, River City RV Park in Richmond, TX, presents a mixed picture based on the limited available reviews. While one guest found it adequate for a work-related stay and noted its unusual surroundings, another reported a significant infrastructure issue with serious consequences. Potential guests should exercise caution, conduct thorough inquiries, and carefully consider the reported negative experience before making a reservation at River City RV Park.

River City RV Park Reviews
Decent enough place if you're in town for work. I don't recall wifi but they may have it. The park seems kinda outta place considering the multi million dollar mansions you pass coming in from 59. I was only here for four nights and slept fine every one of em.
Jul 25, 2023 · trae stuartI guess I can say the experience was weird, They put me in a space where the sewer ran to daily and would not move me into a different placement that was away from the sewer overflow. After staying there for some time the moister from the sewer running underneath my trailer soften up the floor in my trailer, The finally fixed the problem because I filed a LS against them for the damages to my trailer which they are denying. I am glad I have pictures of the before and after.
May 07, 2023 · 2wheel cityStayed here about 11 months. It has shower/bathrooms, laundry room (coin operated), and manager office. The water, sewer, trash, electric, and WiFi are all included in the price. Our 30amp camper cost us $365/month, but $25 extra with more than 2 adults. People here are friendly and haven’t had any problems. Laundry Room is mostly clean depends on who used it last. It is close to the train and some highway noise. They tried to fill potholes awhile back, but they are getting bad again because of all the rain. Office manager is really nice and takes care of your mail. The location is close to shopping (Aldi, Kroger and H-E-B).
Jul 30, 2020 · CHRISTINA DONELSONVery peaceful, clean, the manager is absolutely wonderful, kind, courteous, helpful, and welcoming.
Sep 27, 2022 · VielcaCurrently living here; been here a couple months and I’m extremely happy with everything thus far. Friendly manager; rates are affordable and neighbors are great!Previous/above review was while things were new and people were nice lol but after that things went south really fast... yes the ex bf did something wrong and is currently doing his time in the county jail. However I was absolutely not involved in any way and two of the employees there have told other people I was. I let them know that the police and detectives are fully aware of my non participating in what happened. I’m not the one sitting in jail. But unfortunately the judge sees them so often that she doesn’t take the time to hear anyone’s side and take anything into consideration except the owner and managers word bc they’re always in there evicting people for the same reason of non payment for rent. I tried paying mine twice and they declined it both times. So I was evicted for what? If I could have afforded it I would have appealed it... it’s unfortunate bc I wasn’t late on rent, I tried paying it didn’t break any park rules or laws yet still had to incur moving expenses and leave. But fortunately I’m way happier being away from all of those drama filled, chaos causing people... which includes Jason a so called employee who does absolutely nothing, Cindy the so called manager who manages drama and chaos and thrives on it all & several tenants there who continuously break the rules and laws yet are allowed to stay. Favoritism. And lots of butt kissin... things I’m happy to be away from. If you want peace, Go rent anywhere but here!
