Santa Cruz Harbor RV Park Introduce
For local users in the Santa Cruz, California area searching for "RV parks near me," Santa Cruz Harbor RV Park, located at the intersection of Brommer St. & 7th Avenue, Santa Cruz, CA 95062, USA, offers a unique setting adjacent to the harbor. They can be contacted at (831) 212-4261 or via mobile at +1 831-212-4261 for inquiries regarding reservations and availability.
Based on feedback from online reviews, Santa Cruz Harbor RV Park presents a somewhat unconventional RV park experience. One reviewer describes it as "simply a parking lot with hookups," highlighting the primarily paved nature of the sites. This reviewer also notes the limited size of the sites, indicating that they may be so compact that there is "nowhere to set up your camp chairs and barely enough space to park your tow vehicle." This space constraint is further emphasized by the reviewer mentioning having to park their truck in the adjacent site due to insufficient room within their own.
Adding to the environment, the same reviewer points out the "constant and annoying" traffic moving in and out of the harbor directly in front of the RV sites. This suggests that while the location offers proximity to the harbor, it may come with a significant amount of vehicular activity that could impact the peace and quiet of the RV sites.
Despite these drawbacks, the location of Santa Cruz Harbor RV Park does offer some appealing aspects. The reviewer mentions the proximity of "walking trails nearby" and the enjoyable experience of "watching the birds and harbor seals in the marina." This suggests that the park's location provides opportunities for outdoor activities and wildlife viewing, which could be attractive to nature enthusiasts and those looking to explore the harbor area.
Another reviewer echoes the sentiment about the "great location," emphasizing that while it might be "kind of expensive," the location itself makes it "worth it." This suggests that the primary draw of Santa Cruz Harbor RV Park is its proximity to the harbor and surrounding attractions, which may justify a higher price point for some visitors.
However, this second reviewer also highlights a significant limitation in terms of amenities, stating, "Few amenities: no toilet, no showers. no green grass, just a paved wide parking space along the marina." This confirms the description of the park as primarily a paved parking area and indicates a notable lack of basic facilities such as restrooms and showers. This is a crucial consideration for potential visitors, as they will need to be self-contained within their RV for these essential services.
Considering these reviews, Santa Cruz Harbor RV Park appears to be a no-frills option that prioritizes location over extensive amenities and spacious sites. For local users searching for "RV parks near me" with direct access to the Santa Cruz harbor area, this park offers that convenience. The proximity to walking trails and marine wildlife viewing could be a significant draw for those interested in these activities.
However, prospective visitors must be aware of the limitations. The small site sizes and the potential for constant traffic noise could be significant drawbacks for those seeking a more traditional and spacious RV park experience. The absence of on-site restrooms and showers necessitates that visitors have these facilities within their own RV.
The "expensive" nature of the park, as mentioned by one reviewer, suggests that the premium is primarily for the location. Local users considering Santa Cruz Harbor RV Park should weigh the value of this location against the cost and the limited amenities and site sizes.
For local users exploring "RV parks near me" in Santa Cruz, it would be beneficial to contact Santa Cruz Harbor RV Park directly to inquire about specific site dimensions, parking arrangements for tow vehicles, and any specific policies regarding noise or traffic. Understanding these details firsthand will help potential visitors determine if the trade-offs are acceptable for the benefit of the harbor-front location.
In conclusion, Santa Cruz Harbor RV Park offers a prime location for those wanting to be close to the Santa Cruz harbor. However, it is characterized by small, paved sites, potentially significant traffic noise, and a lack of basic amenities such as restrooms and showers. The cost may be higher due to the desirable location. Local users searching for "RV parks near me" should carefully consider these factors and prioritize their needs and preferences when deciding if Santa Cruz Harbor RV Park is the right choice for their stay.

Santa Cruz Harbor RV Park Reviews
This RV Park is simply a parking lot with hookups. The sites are so small that there is nowhere to set up your camp chairs and barely enough space to park your tow vehicle. In this photo, our truck is parked in the site next to ours, since we couldn’t fit it in our site. The traffic moving in and out of the Harbor, in front of your rig, is constant and annoying. We did find walking trails nearby and watching the birds and harbor seals in the marina was cool.
Apr 01, 2025 · Susie PannellGreat location. Kind of expensive but the location is worth it. Few amenities: no toilet, no showers. no green grass, just a paved wide parking space along the marina. Worth the price.
Apr 28, 2025 · Joel MooreGreat little spot to park your rv for a couple nights and explore santa cruz. Quiet at night. Lovely atmosphere by the water/marina and is only a short walk to the beach. Also a great path around the marina to walk your dog
Mar 15, 2024 · Hannah CGreat place !! Host is very friendly and knowledgeable. About a 3/4 mile walk to the beach and well worth it, restaurants on the beach are really good. Dog park across the harbor up the stairs with friendly people and pets. We will definitely be back.
Jun 09, 2019 · Bob SchaeferI was actually on a walk through Arana Gulch and down to the harbor. Found a nice bench in front of the RV park. I'd never noticed it was there. I had never seen all the spots full Is why I didn't know it was a RV park. Everything you need is there and your at the harbor in Santa Cruz. Location, location, location. *All photos were taken in Arana Gulch by*Leah Taylor*
