Shady Oaks Mobile Home Park Introduce
While our platform primarily focuses on connecting users with "RV parks near me" for temporary or recreational stays, we also recognize that individuals and families often seek more permanent or long-term housing solutions. In this context, we would like to introduce you to Shady Oaks Mobile Home Park, located at 9900 SE 44th St, Oklahoma City, OK 73150, USA. This mobile home park offers a different type of residential opportunity within the Oklahoma City area.
Shady Oaks Mobile Home Park can be contacted at (405) 737-3202 or via mobile phone at +1 405-737-3202. For those seeking a potentially more permanent living arrangement compared to the typically shorter stays at RV parks, mobile home parks like Shady Oaks provide spaces for manufactured homes. These communities often offer a more traditional neighborhood feel with longer-term residency options.
Based on the limited information available, which includes two concerning customer reviews, it is crucial for prospective residents to approach this mobile home park with caution and conduct thorough due diligence. One review describes a deeply troubling incident where a Korean War veteran was allegedly treated rudely and denied a discount, purportedly due to the age of his identification. The reviewer interpreted this as discrimination based on the veteran's service, leading to the departure of multiple witnesses. This account raises serious concerns about the park's management and their treatment of individuals.
The second review from someone claiming to have lived at Shady Oaks for six years paints an even more disturbing picture. This former tenant alleges consistent on-time rent payments and adherence to park rules, yet describes being denied the accommodation of an emotional support animal despite having a doctor's letter. Following a complaint filed with HUD, the reviewer claims to have experienced constant harassment, including alleged intimidation and trespassing by the landlord's son, necessitating police intervention. This review strongly advises potential renters to "beware" and to "not rent from these creeps," indicating a severely negative experience with the park's management.
Given these highly critical and concerning reviews, it is imperative for anyone considering residing at Shady Oaks Mobile Home Park to exercise extreme caution and conduct a very thorough investigation. The issues raised pertain to potential discriminatory behavior, disregard for tenant rights regarding emotional support animals, and allegations of harassment and intimidation. These are serious matters that could significantly impact the well-being and safety of residents.
When considering a mobile home park for long-term residency, several factors typically come into play. These can include the overall environment of the park, the amenities offered, the sense of community, the management's responsiveness, and the affordability of lot rentals and any associated fees. Unlike the transient nature of "RV parks near me," mobile home parks often foster a longer-term community among residents. However, the reviews for Shady Oaks Mobile Home Park cast significant doubt on the possibility of a positive community environment and raise serious questions about the management's professionalism and ethical conduct.
Due to the severity of the allegations in the provided reviews, it is strongly recommended that anyone interested in Shady Oaks Mobile Home Park takes extensive proactive steps to gather more information from multiple sources. This should include contacting the park management directly to hear their perspective on the issues raised and to inquire about current policies and procedures. However, given the nature of the complaints, it would be wise to corroborate any information provided by the management with independent sources.
Prospective residents should also attempt to speak with current residents, if possible, to gain firsthand insights into their experiences living at Shady Oaks Mobile Home Park. Asking about the management's responsiveness to concerns, the sense of safety and security within the park, and any recurring issues can provide a more balanced understanding beyond the negative reviews. However, it is important to acknowledge that current residents may be hesitant to speak openly due to potential repercussions.
While our platform is designed to help you find "RV parks near me" for your travel and recreational needs, we aim to provide helpful information about various accommodation options that may be relevant to our users in different contexts. Shady Oaks Mobile Home Park represents one such option for those considering a longer-term living situation in the Oklahoma City area. However, the available feedback necessitates a strong cautionary note.
In terms of environment, mobile home parks can vary significantly. Some offer a more basic, no-frills setting, while others may feature amenities such as community centers, laundry facilities, playgrounds, or even swimming pools. The level of landscaping and overall maintenance can also differ. It is crucial to ascertain what Shady Oaks Mobile Home Park offers in terms of these aspects through direct inquiry and a very careful site visit, paying close attention to the overall atmosphere and any interactions with staff or residents.
Services provided by mobile home parks typically include basic infrastructure such as water, sewer, and electrical hookups for the mobile homes. Residents usually pay a monthly lot rental fee that covers these services and potentially common area maintenance. It's important to understand what is included in this fee and what additional costs residents might incur, such as trash removal or lawn care. When inquiring about these aspects at Shady Oaks, it would be prudent to also ask about the park's policies regarding tenant rights and accommodations for individuals with disabilities, particularly concerning emotional support animals.
Features of a mobile home park can extend beyond the basic utilities to include the layout of the lots, the presence of trees or green spaces, and any community-oriented facilities. Understanding the specific features of Shady Oaks Mobile Home Park will help potential residents determine if it meets their needs and preferences for long-term living. However, in light of the serious allegations in the reviews, the focus should primarily be on verifying the safety, ethical treatment, and management practices of the park.
Promotional information is not readily available in the provided data. Given the negative reviews, it is unlikely that the park would be actively promoting itself positively without addressing the serious concerns raised. Any promotional material should be viewed with extreme skepticism and carefully scrutinized against the accounts provided by former customers.
In conclusion, while Shady Oaks Mobile Home Park is located in Oklahoma City and offers spaces for long-term residency, the severely negative customer reviews detailing alleged discriminatory behavior and tenant harassment are significant red flags. We strongly advise anyone considering this park to proceed with extreme caution, conduct an in-person visit, speak with current residents (if possible and safe to do so), and thoroughly investigate the management's practices and policies. The well-being and safety of potential residents should be the top priority when considering long-term housing options. The information available suggests that Shady Oaks Mobile Home Park may not provide a safe or respectful living environment.

Shady Oaks Mobile Home Park Reviews
I watched a veteran of Korea be denied a 10% discount because his ID was too old. I watch a large woman (?) With several earrings, nose ring and tattoos tell the man rudely that they could not honor his Korean war credentials. He must of been 85 years old. Two customers put down their items and walked out the door. I followed soon after so I witness this injustice. You knew these people discriminated because of his service. Disgraceful.
