Big Sierra RV Park is described as a “Clean and Peaceful Community!” by one resident, immediately highlighting the positive environment that awaits. What sets this park apart is its strong sense of community; neighbors genuinely “care about each other and look out for each other.” This is not just a place to park your RV; it’s a supportive network where residents are invested in each other’s well-being.
Adding to its unique character, Big Sierra RV Park is a “community run property.” This implies a level of involvement and care from the residents themselves in maintaining and fostering a positive living environment. As part of this community-oriented approach, potential new residents “will be asked to meet your possible neighbors before moving in.” This thoughtful process ensures a good fit within the community and reinforces the existing bonds among residents, prioritizing a harmonious living experience for everyone.
Big Sierra RV Park is recognized as “a rarity” due to its exceptional features and focus on creating a safe and enriching environment. One of the most notable features is the presence of “fenced yards” for each RV site. This is an uncommon amenity in most RV parks and offers added privacy, security, and a sense of personal space for residents. It also provides a safe area for children or pets to enjoy.
The park also boasts “green houses,” suggesting an opportunity for residents to engage in gardening and cultivate their own plants, fostering a sense of personal connection to their living space and potentially creating a more aesthetically pleasing environment. The inclusion of a “play ground” further emphasizes the family-friendly nature of Big Sierra RV Park, providing a dedicated space for children to play and socialize safely.
Essential amenities are also well-provided, including a “laundry” facility for the convenience of residents. Safety is a top priority at Big Sierra, as evidenced by the inclusion of a “tornado shelter,” a crucial feature in Oklahoma’s climate, offering residents a safe haven during severe weather events. The presence of a “Koi pond” adds a touch of tranquility and natural beauty to the park, providing a peaceful spot for residents to relax and enjoy.
The overarching goal of Big Sierra RV Park is to maintain “a safe, drug free community.” This commitment to safety and well-being is paramount and contributes to the peaceful and secure atmosphere that residents appreciate. This focus creates an environment where individuals and families can feel comfortable and protected.
Adding to the strong sense of community, Big Sierra RV Park is known for its “amazing” “holiday get-togethers!” These events provide opportunities for residents to socialize, build relationships, and celebrate together, further strengthening the bonds within the community and creating a fun and engaging living experience.
Another long-term resident described Big Sierra as “The best RV park I have lived in.” This powerful endorsement speaks volumes about the quality of life and the positive experiences within the park. The owner is praised as “absolutely the best,” echoing the sentiment of caring and dedicated management found in the other review. The sense of community is further emphasized with the statement that “everyone is family.” Residents enjoy activities together, such as “cookouts, fireworks,” and readily offer “help if you need it,” illustrating a supportive and collaborative environment.
The reviewer also highlighted the quality of the people living in Big Sierra, noting, “There are some of the best people I've ever met here.” This reinforces the theme of a strong and positive community where residents genuinely care for one another. The fact that a former resident, who only moved out due to physical limitations, would “recommend this place to anyone” is a testament to the exceptional living experience offered at Big Sierra RV Park.
While the reviews provide extensive details about the community, safety measures, and unique features like fenced yards and a Koi pond, specific details about the RV sites themselves (e.g., size, pull-through/back-in), the types of utility hookups available (water, electricity – including amperage options, sewer), and other standard RV park amenities (e.g., restrooms, showers, Wi-Fi) are not explicitly mentioned. To obtain this information, it is recommended to contact the park directly at (405) 637-8635 or +1 405-637-8635. The owner, who is highly praised in the reviews, will likely be happy to provide these details.
Given its location in Midwest City, Oklahoma, Big Sierra RV Park offers convenient access to the amenities and attractions of a larger urban area while maintaining a peaceful and community-oriented atmosphere within the park itself. There are some of the best people I've ever met here. I only moved out because I cant physically live in an RV any longer. I would recommend this place to anyone
