Shangri'la Mobile Village Introduce
For local residents exploring housing options potentially listed under the category "RV parks near me" on various platforms, Shangri'la Mobile Village, located at 1310 Fleming Ave lot #280, Ormond Beach, FL 32174, USA, presents a mobile home community in the area. While the platform category might primarily focus on recreational vehicles, such directories often include information on mobile home parks as well, catering to a broader range of housing needs. It is crucial to consider all available information when evaluating potential living situations, especially given the concerns raised in the publicly available reviews for Shangri'la Mobile Village. For direct inquiries, the park can be contacted at (386) 401-1851 or +1 386-401-1851.
Regarding the environment of Shangri'la Mobile Village, the available reviews paint a concerning picture. One resident describes a pervasive and overwhelming odor of "60 or more feral cats urine" permeating the park. This suggests a significant issue with the management of stray animals within the community, potentially impacting the quality of life for residents due to unpleasant smells and unsanitary conditions. The reviewer further notes that these feral cats "run all over the park jumping on the cars scratching on the screens to come inside," indicating a nuisance that could lead to property damage and unwanted intrusions. The noise from "females in heat crying all night" is also mentioned as a disruptive environmental factor, affecting the peace and quiet of the residents.
In terms of services, the feedback is also negative. The reviewer states that the "lease that you sign ONLY protects the park not the homeowner," suggesting an imbalance in tenant rights and park responsibilities. The allegation that the park management "make and change the rules to accommodate them" raises concerns about the stability and fairness of the community's regulations. Furthermore, the mention of "yearly rent increases of 65.00" and the discontinuation of trash removal as an included service, requiring residents to pay extra, points towards increasing costs for residents without a corresponding improvement in services or environment. The serious claim of "convicted felons with no background checks" living in the park raises significant safety and security concerns for the community as a whole. The reviewer concludes by stating that it is a "Zero amenities park with high lot rent," indicating a perceived lack of value for the cost of living in the community.
Features of Shangri'la Mobile Village, based on the provided reviews, appear to be minimal and potentially negative. The absence of amenities is explicitly mentioned ("Zero amenities park"), which means residents may not have access to common facilities such as a clubhouse, pool, laundry facilities, or recreational areas that are often found in other mobile home parks. The presence of a large feral cat population, as described, could be considered an undesirable feature. The lease terms that reportedly favor the park over the homeowner and the frequent changes to rules create an unstable living environment. The alleged lack of background checks on residents is a significant negative feature in terms of community safety and security. The high lot rent, especially in the absence of amenities and with the described environmental issues, further detracts from any potential positive features of the park.
Given the overwhelmingly negative nature of the available reviews, there is no positive promotional information to be extracted. Instead, the feedback serves as a strong warning for potential residents. The issues raised, including the feral cat problem, unfavorable lease terms, rent increases coupled with reduced services, and alleged lack of background checks, are significant deterrents. Any objective introduction must include these serious concerns. It would be irresponsible to present this mobile home park in a positive light based on the provided information. Potential local users searching for "RV parks near me" who might also come across Shangri'la Mobile Village in their search for housing options should be aware of these critical reviews and exercise extreme caution. Seeking further information, perhaps from more recent reviews or by visiting the park in person to assess the current conditions, would be essential before considering residency.
For local users exploring mobile home living in Ormond Beach, the information available for Shangri'la Mobile Village paints a troubling picture. The environmental issues related to feral cats, the concerns about lease terms and management practices, the increasing costs with decreasing services, and the alleged safety risks due to a lack of background checks are all serious red flags. These issues collectively suggest a community that may not provide a safe, clean, or stable living environment. Potential residents should carefully weigh these negative aspects against any perceived benefits of the location and should prioritize their safety and well-being when considering housing options. It is strongly recommended to explore alternative mobile home parks or RV parks in the Ormond Beach area that have more positive and reliable feedback.
In conclusion, Shangri'la Mobile Village in Ormond Beach, FL, as described by the available reviews, appears to suffer from significant environmental and management issues. The pervasive odor and presence of a large feral cat population, coupled with concerns about unfair lease terms, rising costs, lack of amenities, and potential safety risks, make this a community that prospective residents should approach with extreme caution. Local users searching for housing under the category "RV parks near me" who might encounter Shangri'la Mobile Village should be aware of these serious concerns and conduct thorough due diligence before considering it as a place to live.

Shangri'la Mobile Village Reviews
You walk outside your home and get knocked over with the smell of 60 or more feral cats urine, they run all over the park jumping on the cars scratching on the screens to come inside this is in addition to listening to the females in heat crying all night. The lease that you sign ONLY protects the park not the homeowner they make and change the rules to accommodate them. Yearly rent increases of 65.00, and you pay for trash removal it's no longer included. Convicted felons with no background checks, you haven't a clue who all may live in the park. Zero amenities park with high lot rent.
Jan 20, 2025 · Joni MoringSince Lakeshore acquired this park, it has declined quickly, and we have yet to see any response to the points mentioned. They can't even handle getting statements mailed on a timely, regular basis, but they damn sure take it out of your checking account on time!
May 14, 2024 · Rhoda CoffinSome nice people live there, and the light rent is reasonable. But you can never get one of the representatives on the phone period, and to get park approval takes a month. nothing happens fast but collecting rent.
Oct 23, 2023 · Tim FlintNo one's ever in the office no one ever answers the phone irrigation doesn't work there is no communication whatsoever the place is really gone downhill and I've only been here one year. It would be a nice park if lake shore communities would just be professional as far as maintenance etc goes and get a full-time person in the office to help with all this. As it is right now they only get one star for me and if I could I would give him no stars.
Sep 29, 2023 · gary vaughanThe people that manage this park are never at the office, they very seldom return phone calls, our lawn service has went down hill and today (07/26/2022) we have been without water for several hours and was not informed there would be maintenance done on the water lines. This park has went to hell since it was sold!!!!
