Shippensburg Mobile Estates Introduce
For local users searching for "rv parks near me" in the Shippensburg, Pennsylvania area, Shippensburg Mobile Estates, located at 10 Conestoga Dr, Shippensburg, PA 17257, USA, presents a mobile home park with mixed but concerning feedback based on recent customer reviews. You can contact them at (717) 532-5917 or +1 717-532-5917 for inquiries.
The environment of Shippensburg Mobile Estates, based on resident accounts, appears to have some significant shortcomings in terms of maintenance. One long-term resident of 26 years notes a decline in the community's upkeep over time. Specific issues mentioned include infrequent leaf pickup in the fall (only once a week) and inadequate snow removal during winter. The reviewer goes so far as to say, "They should just not plow at all because they do a terrible job," indicating a severe dissatisfaction with the winter maintenance of the roads within the community. These points suggest potential inconveniences and safety concerns related to the park's infrastructure and seasonal maintenance.
Another resident, who has lived there for almost seven years, describes the community as a "descent place to live" but highlights some key takeaways. They point out that residents are responsible for the upkeep of their rented property, including trees, as "management does nothing but take your money really because the park is owned by a Million dollar coorperation." This suggests a hands-off approach from management regarding property maintenance and a focus on rent collection. This could be a crucial consideration for RV owners contemplating a longer stay, as they might be responsible for maintaining the area around their site, including natural elements like trees.
In terms of services and management, both reviews express negative sentiments. The long-term resident is particularly critical of the new manager, stating that "all she does is harass and complain about everything!!!! She will not work with you, so if you are not a millionaire don't move in because if you don't do her every letter she will threaten you with eviction." This paints a picture of a rigid and unaccommodating management style that could lead to stress and conflict for residents. The comparison to the community's atmosphere 26 years ago ("This is not the same community it was when I moved in") further underscores a perceived decline in management and overall quality of life within the park.
The other resident echoes the sentiment that management is primarily focused on collecting rent and does not actively engage in property upkeep. They also mention an annual rent increase of $20 every January, which is an important financial consideration for prospective residents, including RV owners considering an extended stay. While this resident states they have been able to "do what i want and keep to myself and dont make too much noise," this approach might not be suitable or desirable for all RVers seeking a more interactive or amenity-rich environment.
Considering the platform category "rv parks near me," Shippensburg Mobile Estates, as a mobile home park, may or may not be ideally suited for RV stays. The reviews do not explicitly mention whether RVs are permitted, the availability of RV-specific amenities such as hookups for water, sewer, and electricity, or the existence of designated RV sites. The focus of the reviews is on the experiences of mobile home residents and the management of the mobile home park itself. The issues raised regarding maintenance and management style could also potentially impact RVers staying in the community.
To determine if Shippensburg Mobile Estates accommodates RVs, local users would need to contact the management directly using the provided phone numbers. Inquiries should focus on whether RVs are permitted, the types of sites available for RVs, the hookups provided, the length of stay allowed, and any specific rules or regulations for RV owners. It would also be important to ask about the rental rates for RV sites and any amenities that RV residents would have access to.
Given the negative feedback regarding the park's maintenance and management, local users searching for "rv parks near me" might want to exercise caution when considering Shippensburg Mobile Estates. The reported issues with leaf and snow removal could make the environment less appealing or even hazardous for RVers, especially during certain seasons. The described management style could also lead to a less than pleasant living experience, even for short-term stays. It would be advisable to weigh these potential drawbacks against any potential benefits, such as location or cost (if lower than dedicated RV parks), which are not detailed in the reviews.
Currently, there is no promotional information available for Shippensburg Mobile Estates in the provided text. The reviews focus on the negative aspects of living in the community rather than highlighting any positive features or special offers. Local users interested in any potential discounts for long-term RV stays or other promotions would need to inquire directly with the management, keeping in mind the overall sentiment expressed in the resident reviews.
In conclusion, for local users searching for "rv parks near me" in the Shippensburg, PA area, Shippensburg Mobile Estates is primarily a mobile home park with concerning reviews regarding its maintenance and management. Residents report issues with leaf and snow removal and describe a seemingly unhelpful and potentially confrontational management style. While it is unknown whether RVs are permitted in the community, the negative feedback about the living environment and management practices should give potential RVers pause. It is strongly recommended that local users contact the management directly to inquire about RV accommodations and carefully consider the resident reviews before making any decisions. Exploring other dedicated RV parks in the area might be a more advisable approach to ensure a satisfactory RVing experience.

Shippensburg Mobile Estates Reviews
Rent is way to high for the little that they do. During the fall they only pick up the leaves once a week and when it snows forget about it. They should just not plow at all because they do a terrible job. Now they put a new manager in place and all she does is harass and complain about everything!!!! She will not work with you, so if you are not a millionaire don't move in because if you don't do her every letter she will threaten you with eviction. This is not the same community it was when I moved in 26 years ago.
Nov 11, 2024 · David KauffmanDesent place to live. But some key take aways are....The property you rent is yours they wont clean or take care of it thats on you (espically trees) management does nothing but take your money really because the park is owned by a Million dollar coorperation. And they raise the rent $20 every year in january. But ive been here almost 7 years and i do what i want and keep to myself and dont make too much noise.
Mar 09, 2024 · Damion FreemanWas there to visit my niece, she had a birthday party for her brother. I used to live in this park many, many, many years ago and was surprised by the condition of the park and some of the homes in it, but like everything else...things have changed.
May 26, 2023 · Kathy C.A quiet, clean community of mobile homes, love it here.New owners, not as great as it was. Background checks, evidently, mean nothing!!Lot rent goes up every year, less upkeep, sadly
Oct 17, 2023 · Lynn AyersThe place is under new ownership that doesn't care. They just keep raising the lot rent. Don't make anyone take care of their lot. Multiple cars tall grass. Garbage everywhere. I wish they didn't just want money.
