Sierra Lakes Mobile Home Park Introduce
Sierra Lakes Mobile Home Park is located at 4300 Rocklin Rd in Rocklin, California, within Placer County. While primarily a mobile home park, its location and potential long-term stay options might be relevant for individuals searching for 'RV parks near me' who are considering a more permanent or semi-permanent arrangement in the Rocklin area. The available customer reviews present a mixed and concerning picture of the living conditions and management at Sierra Lakes Mobile Home Park.
One particularly critical review strongly advises against purchasing a home in Sierra Lakes, citing several significant issues. The reviewer mentions frequent "water shut offs for days on out," which can severely disrupt daily life and hygiene. Additionally, they describe the "electrical wiring" as "so old" that lights flicker, and power outages are common. These utility problems raise serious concerns about the basic infrastructure and maintenance of the park. Furthermore, the reviewer reports a persistent "pond in my backyard" due to "drainage issues that they refuse to address," indicating potential neglect of necessary property maintenance and its impact on individual residents' living spaces. Finally, this reviewer gives the management a scathing assessment, stating they would give them a "zero if possible," suggesting a high level of dissatisfaction with the park's administration and responsiveness to resident concerns.
In stark contrast, another reviewer describes Sierra Lakes as a "really nice trailer park in Rocklin" that is "quiet and clean." This positive feedback suggests that the park does possess some desirable qualities, such as a peaceful atmosphere and a well-maintained overall appearance. The reviewer also notes that "you can tell the residents take pride in their community," indicating a positive social dynamic and a sense of ownership among the homeowners. An appealing feature mentioned is a "large pond in the middle of the community," which could contribute to the park's aesthetic appeal and possibly provide recreational opportunities or attract wildlife. The reviewer also mentions observing "little baby geese all over the park" in May, suggesting the presence of wildlife and a connection to nature within the community.
The conflicting nature of these reviews presents a significant challenge in objectively assessing Sierra Lakes Mobile Home Park. While one reviewer highlights a quiet and clean environment with a sense of community and natural beauty (the pond and wildlife), the other paints a picture of serious infrastructure problems (water and electricity issues, drainage) and severely deficient management. These discrepancies suggest that potential residents or visitors might experience vastly different living conditions or levels of satisfaction depending on various factors, such as the specific location within the park, the age of the infrastructure serving their lot, and their interactions with the management.
For individuals searching for 'RV parks near me' in Rocklin, Sierra Lakes Mobile Home Park might be an option for longer-term stays due to its nature as a mobile home park. However, the reported issues with water, electricity, and drainage are significant concerns that RVers would also need to consider, as reliable utilities are essential for RV living. The negative feedback regarding management responsiveness to maintenance issues could also be a deterrent for RV travelers who might require assistance during their stay. Conversely, the positive comments about the quiet environment, cleanliness, and the presence of a pond could be attractive if these aspects outweigh the potential infrastructure and management problems.
The limited information does not provide specific details about the amenities and services offered at Sierra Lakes Mobile Home Park. Typically, mobile home parks offer basic utilities such as water, sewer, and electricity hookups. Some may also provide additional amenities like laundry facilities, common areas, and possibly recreational facilities related to the mentioned pond. However, without further information, it is impossible to ascertain what Sierra Lakes Mobile Home Park offers beyond the conflicting descriptions of the environment and infrastructure.
To make an informed decision about Sierra Lakes Mobile Home Park, whether for potential mobile home living or a long-term RV stay, it is crucial to:
- Contact the management directly using the provided phone number: (916) 624-2735 or the mobile number +1 916-624-2735 to inquire about the current status of the park's infrastructure (water, electricity, drainage), their maintenance protocols, and their responsiveness to resident concerns.
- Specifically ask about the frequency and duration of water and electricity outages and whether the drainage issues reported by a resident have been addressed.
- Visit the park in person to assess the environment, the condition of the grounds, and the overall atmosphere. Pay close attention to the infrastructure and any signs of disrepair or the reported drainage problems.
- If possible, speak with current residents to get a broader range of perspectives on living in the community and their experiences with the management and the park's infrastructure. Seek out both positive and negative viewpoints to get a balanced understanding.
- For RVers, inquire about the availability of RV sites, the types of hookups provided, the size and accessibility of the sites, and any amenities specifically catering to RV travelers. Also, inquire about the reliability of the utilities.
Rocklin is a city in Placer County known for its suburban setting and access to various amenities and services. The location of Sierra Lakes Mobile Home Park on Rocklin Rd places it within a potentially convenient area. However, the internal conditions and management of the park, as indicated by the strongly negative review, are critical factors that must be thoroughly investigated.
For RV travelers specifically looking for 'RV parks near me' for shorter stays, the significant concerns about utility reliability and management responsiveness might make Sierra Lakes a less desirable option unless these issues have been demonstrably resolved. The presence of a pond and a quiet environment could be appealing, but functional and reliable services are typically a higher priority for RVers.
For individuals considering long-term mobile home living, the positive aspects of a quiet, clean community with a sense of resident pride and natural features like a pond are attractive. However, the serious allegations of infrastructure problems and poor management are significant red flags that must be thoroughly investigated and addressed before making a commitment.
In conclusion, Sierra Lakes Mobile Home Park in Rocklin, CA, presents a complex picture with positive mentions of a quiet, clean environment and a sense of community, contrasted by serious allegations of frequent utility outages, unresolved drainage issues, and poor management. For those searching for 'RV parks near me' or considering mobile home living here, thorough due diligence, including direct communication with the park and ideally speaking with current residents, is essential to ascertain the current conditions and the reliability of the infrastructure and management before making a decision.

Sierra Lakes Mobile Home Park Reviews
Don't buy a home here unless you enjoy water shut offs for days on out, electrical wiring so old your lights flicker and yes your electricity does go out. Ohh did I mention my lovely pond in my backyard because there is a drainage issues that they refuse to address. Last but not least the management. I would give them a zero if possible.
Feb 06, 2025 · C PI really nice trailer park in Rocklin. It's quiet and clean. You can tell the residents take pride in their community. In May, there were little baby geese all over the park. There is a large pond in the middle of the community.
May 16, 2021 · Sacramento HoneyVery unfriendly staff. Park is a C- park in amenities and upkeep. It was a 55+ community then got bought out by a private family that own and operate other C- parks. There are many nicer, c;earner and better staffed parks around.
Dec 03, 2022 · R BenczeThis park was much better when I moved here 9 years ago. We have trouble with car break in's and other thefts. I don't feel as safe here now. We have homeless staying in the park. We have people inside the park setting off fireworks 🎇, scary!
Jun 11, 2021 · Joyce McKibbenMy best friend's dad lives here. His unit is surprisingly big inside. The park borders a very attractive stream/pond. You will often see geese, ducks, bunnies, and turkeys wandering the property. This place definitely made me rethink the stigma of living in a mobile home park. It's senior only, but I would consider living there if I'm looking for a place when I'm that age. **Update** my friend informed me that they opened up rental to all ages.
