Silver Creek RV Park Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" in the Azle, Texas area? Silver Creek RV Park, located at 801 Silver Creek Azle Rd, Azle, TX 76020, USA, presents itself as a potential option for both short and long-term RV stays. The available reviews offer a mixed perspective on the park, highlighting both positive aspects such as the physical environment and staff friendliness, alongside significant concerns regarding certain management practices.
One reviewer who stayed at Silver Creek RV Park for several months describes their experience as a "pleasure." They specifically mention a "nice park," a "safe location," and "friendly staff," offering a strong recommendation for the facility. This positive feedback suggests that the park may offer a pleasant and secure environment for its residents, with staff who contribute positively to the overall experience. The mention of safety is particularly important for those seeking a secure place to reside with their RV.
However, a more detailed and critical review paints a different picture, focusing heavily on the management, particularly an individual named Val. This reviewer suggests that the park has the potential to be a "wonderful place to stay" but is significantly hampered by Val's management style. They go as far as to draw a comparison to the character Dolores Umbridge from the "Harry Potter" series, recommending a YouTube video for context on what they perceive as negative behavior. This strong analogy indicates significant dissatisfaction with the management's approach to residents.
A specific point of concern raised is the park's policy regarding security deposits. According to this reviewer, deposits are allegedly not returned if a resident stays longer than a year. This is a crucial piece of financial information for potential long-term residents and warrants careful consideration and verification with the park management. Such a policy, if accurate, could significantly impact the overall cost of staying at Silver Creek RV Park for extended periods.
The reviewer further details a series of negative interactions and accusations they faced during their four-year residency. These include being "falsely accused of all kinds of criminal activity" ranging from vandalism and speeding to an alleged dog bite. The severity of these accusations and the implication of unfair treatment are serious concerns for anyone considering living at Silver Creek RV Park.
The experience extended to being locked out of the dog park, despite the reviewer and their household being responsible pet owners who used waste bags. This action suggests potentially arbitrary or punitive management decisions that negatively impacted residents who were following park rules. The situation escalated when an alleged dog bite incident led to an attempted eviction. The reviewer claims that when they requested due process, including reporting the bite to the dog sheriff, Val refused and barred them from the office. This account raises serious questions about the fairness and procedural integrity of the management's handling of resident issues.
The eventual departure of the reviewer was initiated by a text message stating they owed utilities. This abrupt communication, following the preceding issues, further underscores the unprofessionalism alleged in the review. The reviewer also advises future residents to protect themselves by taking monthly pictures of their utility meters, claiming that Val has been known to inflate readings to force residents out sooner if her "false allegations campaign fails." This is a very serious accusation that, if true, indicates potentially fraudulent billing practices.
Despite these significant negative experiences, the reviewer does acknowledge a period of understanding and patience from the owners during a personal health crisis (stage 4 cervical cancer) that affected their ability to pay rent on time due to hospitalizations. This suggests that while there may be issues with the on-site management (Val), the owners themselves may exhibit more compassion and understanding in certain circumstances. However, the day-to-day interactions would likely be primarily with the on-site manager.
For local users searching for "RV parks near me," Silver Creek RV Park presents a complex picture. The positive review highlights a nice park, safe location, and friendly staff (presumably excluding the manager in question). This suggests that the physical environment and perhaps some staff members contribute to a positive experience. However, the detailed negative review raises serious concerns about the management's professionalism, fairness, and potential billing practices. The alleged policy regarding security deposit returns after a year-long stay is also a significant financial consideration.
Potential residents should carefully weigh these conflicting accounts. The positive aspects of the park's environment and safety might be appealing, but the reported issues with management, including accusations, eviction attempts, and potential utility billing discrepancies, cannot be ignored. It is crucial for anyone considering Silver Creek RV Park to conduct thorough due diligence. This should include contacting the park directly at (682) 499-8616 or +1 682-499-8616 to inquire about their policies on security deposits, eviction procedures, and utility billing. It would also be beneficial, if possible, to speak with current residents to gain a broader perspective on the living conditions and management practices at Silver Creek RV Park.
In conclusion, Silver Creek RV Park in Azle, TX, offers a seemingly pleasant physical environment and a location that at least one reviewer found safe. However, significant concerns have been raised regarding the management, particularly concerning deposit returns, accusations against residents, handling of disputes, and potential issues with utility billing. Local users searching for "RV parks near me" should carefully consider both the positive and negative feedback and conduct thorough personal research before deciding to stay at Silver Creek RV Park.

Silver Creek RV Park Reviews
Stayed several months at this park and it was always a pleasure being there! Nice park, safe location and friendly staff. Thanks Val!! **Highly recommend**
May 01, 2025 · Dwayne MayThis place is just a val away from being wonderful place to stay. You will not get your deposit back if you stay longer than a year. I lived there for four years, and it could easily be a five-star place if not for Val. DOLORES UMBRIDGE is who comes to mind if you don't know what I mean I suggest watching Villain Therapy: DOLORES UMBRIDGE on YouTube to get a clear picture of how she behaves. We were falsely accused of all kinds of criminal activity from vandalism and speeding to my dog biting her. We were even locked out of the dog park despite being the few who owned and used our waste bags. When she tried to evict us over the bite I requested she follow due process and call the dog sheriff to report the bite but she refused and barred us from the office. At this point, we were asked to leave with a text telling us we owed them utilities. If you decide to stay at least protect yourself by taking monthly pictures of your meter, val has been known to record the numbers higher than they are to run up the bill to force you out sooner if her false allegations campaign fails. On the other hand i had been diagnosed with stage 4 cervical cancer and through the whole ordeal the owners were very patient and understanding when we couldnt pay on time due to hospitalizations ect. As i said before this place is just a val away from being wonderful place to stay.
Apr 16, 2025 · Pamela WattsWe stayed for a few days while visiting family and quickly realized this is more of a full-time stationary park. Most of the residents seem like they’re permanent here so the typical park etiquette didn’t seem to apply. People were walking through and around others sites constantly. Dogs were off leash going to and from the dog park and ran into the roadway in front of our truck. Extra vehicles in the roadway made navigating the park with our rig a little tricky. The only services we used were laundry. The building is nice and kept clean. Machines were inexpensive compared to most. No problems with management. There are several speed bumps throughout which is fine, but there are potholes that need filled. All of the connections (water, sewer, and electric) are all located at the very back of the sites. So be sure to have extensions available, especially sewer hoses. Sewer connection is also about 6 inches off the ground. So you’ll be lifting your hoses to get them completely emptied.
Oct 28, 2024 · Jennifer HumphreysWe had to be in the DFW area for medical reasons and needed a place to stay in our RV. Silver Creek was exceptional. We rented a covered RV spot for a month and the amenities were great...The wifi service, water, sewage and electrical worked great with no issues! The other tenants were very friendly and helpful as were the staff that we interacted with. The gated entry provided a sense of security, as did the security cameras placed around the property. If you need a quiet, affordable and safe place to stay for a few days or several months, I highly recommend Silver Creek RV Park!
Oct 16, 2024 · Zachary Coldiron, DVMWe spent the summer here while waiting for our house to be finished! We have no complaints, the bathrooms/showers were always super clean along with the laundry room. We were in a covered spot at the back it was very quiet no one ever bothered us at all. We will definitely use them again if we need a campground local!
