Silver Springs Introduce
Are you searching for "RV parks near me" or considering a move to a mobile home park in the Clinton Township, Michigan area? Silver Springs Mobile Home Park, located at 43600 Park Dr W, Clinton Twp, MI 48036, USA, can be reached at (586) 783-3474 or +1 586-783-3474. Based on recent customer reviews, Silver Springs presents a mixed picture of community and potential challenges that prospective residents should consider.
On the positive side, one resident noted that "people mind their own business here for the most part," suggesting a degree of privacy and a relatively easy-going atmosphere. Another reviewer mentioned that it's a "great place to live" and that it is generally quiet, despite noting that the lot rent is a bit high and there are many stray cats. This indicates that some residents find the community peaceful and agreeable overall.
However, a more detailed review highlighted several significant concerns. One major issue raised was the winter maintenance of the roads within the park. The resident reported that plowing and salting are only done at the very front of the park, leaving the inner roads, driveways, and pedestrian areas covered in ice and snow without adequate maintenance. This reviewer felt that the lot fees (stated to be around $700) did not justify this lack of service, especially given the potential monthly income of the park from all residents. They expressed suspicion of negligence and inconvenience, claiming they were not informed of this situation upon moving in and that other, cheaper parks do not have this problem. The reviewer also mentioned a past defense from the park regarding plowing, which they believe was removed due to a police report and photographic evidence of the icy conditions.
Further issues raised by the same reviewer include the mail situation, which is described as "less than fortunate" due to the lack of individual mailboxes at each home. Residents reportedly have to go to a central location, navigating uneven pavement and other vehicles to collect their mail. Additionally, concerns were voiced about lot lines being directly against the houses, leading to potential issues with inconsiderate neighbors causing damage, such as ripped siding, with little to no resolution from the management, who were allegedly rude in response to complaints.
The reviewer also shared a concerning update regarding the park's policy on late lot rent. They reported receiving a notice to vacate if the rent is seven days late, with a potential legal eviction process starting 30 days after that seventh day. Given the significant costs of owning a mobile home in the park (including mortgage and utilities, estimated around $1700), the short grace period for late payments was seen as "downright messed up." The reviewer's boyfriend reportedly faced this situation after forgetting to pay while on vacation, underscoring the strictness of this policy, even though they were able to resolve it by paying promptly upon their return.
Another issue mentioned was an incident involving a neighbor's hose left running for over 24 hours in freezing temperatures, which created icy conditions. The management's explanation was disputed by the reviewer, who involved the police and noted the lack of adequate follow-up in addressing the resulting ice on the roads.
In summary, Silver Springs Mobile Home Park appears to offer a generally quiet community where many residents might keep to themselves. However, potential residents should be aware of significant concerns raised by at least one reviewer regarding the lack of thorough snow and ice removal on park roads, inconvenient mail delivery, potential issues with lot lines and neighbor disputes, and a strict policy regarding late lot rent payments. While one resident found it to be a "great place to live" despite high lot rent and stray cats, the more detailed review paints a picture of potential management and infrastructure issues that could impact the living experience.
If you are looking for "RV parks near me" and considering Silver Springs (although it primarily appears to be a mobile home park), these reviews suggest that while the atmosphere might be peaceful for some, there are practical and policy-related aspects that warrant careful consideration. The high lot rent mentioned by one positive reviewer also aligns with the other reviewer's sentiment about the cost not matching the level of service in winter maintenance.
Prospective residents should weigh the reported quiet environment against the potential for unmaintained icy roads in winter, the inconvenience of centralized mailboxes, possible disputes with neighbors over lot lines, and the strict late payment policy. It would be advisable to visit the park, speak with current residents if possible, and inquire specifically about the winter road maintenance procedures and the policies regarding lot rent and neighbor issues before making a decision.
To get the most accurate and current information, contacting the Silver Springs management directly at the provided phone numbers is recommended. You can ask about their winter maintenance plans, mail delivery system, lot line specifications, and policies on rent payment and dispute resolution. This direct communication can help you determine if Silver Springs Mobile Home Park aligns with your needs and expectations when searching for "RV parks near me" or a mobile home community.

Silver Springs Reviews
People mind there own business here for the most part. And it's been pretty easy going so far. However I definitely have noticed a few things that aren't the greatest to live with. A: they do not plow or salt roads in the snow except for the very front of the park. It feels like my lot fees shouldn't be $700 for a pile of inconvenience and negligence. They collect like $350k+ per month from everyone living here I'm 99% sure theyre just scamming us all this winter. They never told us that we would have to struggle with this upon moving in. Other parks are cheaper and don't have this problem. (They had a review up here defending themselves saying they do plow and what not but they since took it down i would think because there's a police report, photo evidence plus I called them out for lying to us.. not sure but if I had to guess🤷ya know..) Additionally they weren't honest with us on an issue with a neighbors hose being left on for over 24 hours in below freezing temperatures. Made an obvious excuse saying their pipes bursted the day after but we had the police come out the night prior and do a welfare check on the resident and they ended up shutting the hose off and all was fine after that besides the solid ice road. (Update about that: they still haven't done anything about that besides a bit of salt that didn't do much the day after I posted this. It's still straight ice even 3 weeks later.) Now we all have to drive 100% ice road. Definitely not cool I can barely get around to stopping for stop signs, my driveway and pedestrians right now. B. The mail situation is less than fortunate. For obvious reasons if you live here wish there were mailboxes at the houses so I didnt have to bounce around on all the overly uneven pavement and go around the 4 other cars trying to get their mail too. Also, C the lot lines being against your house so if you have an inconsiderate neighbor like me you have to deal with ripped up siding and nobody will do anything but be rude to you apparently. It's in another comment I read they called someone out for complaining about it saying basically "should have read the rules more closely idiot, suck it up". 🙄 Like damn 2/10 do not recommend that kind of attitude. Also I dropped the rating further because there's dishonesty involved now. Nobody likes that. Probably won't live here for more than a couple years so it is what it is I can deal with it but can yall?Update: if you are 7 days late with lot rent they will send you a notice a couple days prior saying you have to pay by the 7th day or vacate the premises. It's states further that if you don't vacate in 30 days after that 7th day they will get a legal eviction. That's downright messed up. Not only is owning a trailer here $1700 give or take a couple hundred with mortgage payments and utilities but they also only give you 7 days to figure out how to pay them before they kick you out and that's it you're done. My boyfriend literally just forgot to pay while we were on vacation and they already told us to get out in paper form. If you're thinking about living here and haven't pulled the trigger yet, I strongly advise you to consider this. He called them and we worked it out with them told them what happened and paid up the day we found out but holy crap it's that easy to get kicked out of here.
Mar 10, 2025 · LilyIt's a great place to live. The lot rent is a bit high, and there are a lot of stray cats. But other than that, it is quiet.
Mar 29, 2025 · Kendra JosephThe yearly price hikes for lot rent is the only downside. Everything else is great from the office staff to the neighbors.
Apr 13, 2025 · Tierra PooleBetter than the neighbors in terms of trailer parks
Mar 21, 2025 · AcdNwprtThis is my home. And the people that work there, from maintains to management are caring and know how to handle a situation with professional and consideration that keeps everyone apperceive of the the way they show they show they care about the community with true love for the residents. Thank you all for being patient and really concern about what we were going through.
