Sonnier Parkside Village Introduce
Welcome to Sonnier Parkside Village, a well-regarded RV park located in Jennings, Louisiana, offering a peaceful and secure environment for both short-term and long-term stays. Situated conveniently in Jennings, LA 70546, USA, and easily reachable at (337) 247-4444 or +1 337-247-4444, Sonnier Parkside Village is an option for those searching within the "RV parks near me" category who prioritize tranquility, affordability, and a sense of community. While it's important to note certain limitations based on recent feedback, the park offers several appealing features.
One of the most consistently praised aspects of Sonnier Parkside Village is its management. Multiple reviewers describe the management as "wonderful," indicating a high level of satisfaction with the service and responsiveness provided. This positive feedback suggests that guests can expect a well-run and supportive environment during their stay. The attentiveness of the management can significantly contribute to a positive overall experience, addressing any concerns promptly and ensuring the smooth operation of the park.
Despite its location right off the interstate, Sonnier Parkside Village is frequently described as "very quiet." This is a significant advantage for travelers who appreciate a peaceful night's sleep and a serene atmosphere, especially considering the potential for noise from nearby highways. The fact that guests "would have no idea your right off the interstate" highlights the park's ability to maintain a tranquil environment despite its convenient accessibility. This balance of accessibility and peace makes Sonnier Parkside Village an attractive option for those passing through or looking for a longer quiet retreat.
Another notable benefit of Sonnier Parkside Village is its "fantastic" pricing. Affordability is often a key consideration for RV travelers, and the positive comments on the park's rates suggest that it offers good value for money compared to other options in the area. This makes it a particularly appealing choice for budget-conscious individuals and families seeking "RV parks near me" that won't break the bank.
However, it is crucial to be aware of some current limitations regarding amenities at Sonnier Parkside Village. According to recent reviews, the park no longer has a shower house or toilets. Guests were informed that these facilities were damaged and are not планируется to be rebuilt. While this is a significant drawback, the park does provide an alternative: there are showers available at the truck stop located right across the highway. While this offers a solution, it may not be as convenient as having on-site facilities. Potential guests should consider this when making their decision.
Another amenity that is currently not available at Sonnier Parkside Village is Wi-Fi. In today's connected world, the absence of internet access can be a significant inconvenience for many travelers who rely on it for work, communication, or entertainment. Guests who require internet access will need to use personal mobile hotspots or other external means of connectivity.
On a more positive note, Sonnier Parkside Village is a "pet friendly" park, and this extends even to "bigger breeds." This is a significant advantage for RVers who travel with larger dogs, as some parks have size restrictions. The park does have rules in place to ensure responsible pet ownership: guests are required to pick up after their dogs and keep them on a leash at all times. This policy helps maintain a clean and safe environment for all residents and visitors.
The RV pads at Sonnier Parkside Village are described as "gravel pad." While functional, this is a basic type of parking surface. Guests who prefer concrete or paved pads should take this into consideration. However, the park is noted to be "very clean," indicating that the management maintains the grounds well despite the gravel surfaces.
Sonnier Parkside Village is also home to some long-term residents who are described as "very nice." This suggests a friendly and welcoming community atmosphere within the park. For those planning an extended stay, the presence of friendly long-term residents can contribute to a more enjoyable and supportive environment.
Finally, it is important to note that Sonnier Parkside Village has a specific payment policy: "They do not take credit cards. Cash or check only." Potential guests will need to plan accordingly and ensure they have sufficient cash or a valid check to pay for their stay.
Another reviewer who lives at Sonnier Parkside Village provides additional insights into the park's environment. They mention that the "Landlords are strict, but in a good way," which contributes to a well-maintained and orderly community. This resident emphasizes that there is "no riff-raff or people who cause drama," and that "most people mind to themselves or are very friendly." This reinforces the idea of a secure and peaceful living environment, which can be particularly appealing for long-term residents and those seeking a quiet getaway.
The location of Sonnier Parkside Village is also highlighted as a benefit, as it is situated "right on the side of a nice park." This proximity to a park offers opportunities for outdoor recreation and relaxation, especially for families with children. The reviewer specifically mentions it being a "Good place to be, especially if you have kids."
The long-term resident also confirms that "The shower house is out of order now since someone screwed it up," echoing the information from the other review regarding the lack of on-site restroom and shower facilities.
For local users in Jennings and the surrounding areas searching for "RV parks near me," Sonnier Parkside Village offers a compelling combination of quiet surroundings, affordable rates, and a pet-friendly policy, all managed by a well-regarded team. The proximity to a nice park is an added bonus, particularly for families. However, it is essential to be aware of the current lack of on-site shower and toilet facilities and the absence of Wi-Fi, as well as the cash or check only payment policy. The availability of showers at the nearby truck stop provides a workaround but may not be ideal for all travelers.
In summary, Sonnier Parkside Village offers:
- Wonderful and attentive management.
- A very quiet environment despite being located right off the interstate.
- Fantastic and affordable prices.
- Pet-friendly policies, even for larger breeds (with leash and cleanup requirements).
- Clean gravel RV pads.
- A friendly community atmosphere, including nice long-term residents.
- Proximity to a nice park, making it a good location for families.
However, please note the following:
- The shower house and toilets are currently out of order, with showers available at a nearby truck stop.

Management is wonderful!!!! Very Quite, would have no idea your right off the interstate. Prices are fantastic. They no longer have a Shower house or toilets. Was told it got torn up by someone and not going to be rebuilt. (There are showers at the truck stop right across the highway ). No wi-fi. Pet friendly even for bigger breeds. (Just pick up after your dog, have on leash at all times). Gravel pad. Very clean RV park. They do have some long timers and they are very nice too. Will be staying here again. They do not take credit cards. Cash or check only.

Apr 29, 2024 · Cody SmithI love the view as I like to sit & watch the cars on the Interstate 10 pass. The management here is excellent in my opinion. Also, the ppl living here are very nice ppl. All the stores like Walmart are within walking distance if you don't own a vehicle. The only thing I dislike about this RV Park is that the monthly fee of $500.00 is A LOT even though it covers all utilities & etc... Please come down on permanent (permanent residence) monthly rental fees. There use to be free WiFi here... it'd be nice to have it back again.
Dec 13, 2023 · Jared S. SaubleI live here. It's a nice & quite RV prk, conveniently located mere secs frm the I-10 on/off exit ramps, Walmart, Jennings Airprt, & plces 2 eat that are also convenient ly located. Although the lady who manages this prk knows my family; I happen 2 think her & her husband are well qualified 2 accommodate your camping needs and/or your dissatisfactions. If ever I'd be confronted & asked, "Where's a grt RV park "? My response: I'd highly recommend Sonnier's Park Village 2 my family, friends, or ppl in transit passing thru Jennings.***It would be very nice if this park had wi-fi like almost every RV park does now. It's a free perks***
